So if your travelling or suck, too bad. Putting on hold or canceling the membership is a hard as building ikea furniture. They play favorites and if you don't go 5 Days a week you will not be one of them. I think for what they charge they could be far note gracious and flexible. They are commissioned sales people and you feel it. Sorry but I'm headed to the ymca.

I love my trainer Wendy... she's a machine! The equipment is great, and machines feel high end. Plus, from what I have seen so far, there is a minimal amount of douchy gym rats there! ;) Very nice change rooms and a couple of large showers. I guess the only down side is the size of the classroom, which limits the number of people who can take the classes. I see that as a good thing, because I prefer smaller classes, but it may get crowded.

I find the classes to be both challenging and fun-often a difficult mix to find. The instructors are knowledgeable and are great at successfully running classes with a range of fitness levels. They are careful to make sure they are aware of any health concerns and are able to offer suitable modifications to just about every exercise. They keep the workouts different enough that you dont get bored but there is enough routine you can feel where you've made improvements. I like that they create an environment that is more encouraging than competitive-I've been to other bootcamps where you are made to feel bad if your fitness level isn't yet what some of the others in the class are at. I recently decided to become a full fledged customer and I am impressed with how quickly they responded to my questions about schedule and price. I don't live overly close to where they hold classes but to me they are totally worth the drive. Oh and you'll see the results too! I think they offer some other classes to like Bridal bootcamp and mom & baby related classes.

I feel better than ever and am seeing results like I never have my whole life. He is not just my mentor for exercise but also for my diet and my general health and well being. He is so confident and driven that I enjoy going every time, it's never a chore. His gym is private so you will never have to be sharing equipment or rubbing shoulders with other people you don't know. It's just you and him in a gym focused on your workout. Stopped in for a spin class using Class Pass, shoes are provided for spin classes. The studio and change rooms are pretty standard to other workout spaces in Calgary. The spin room had quite a few bikes, the regular neon lights, towels were provided for the workout itself and you get a lemon grass towel at the end to wipe everything down as well.

The meal plan was comprehensive and easy to follow, i never once felt like i was depriving myself or on a "diet" it was just good whole foods. The work outs were great, and the instructors were able to adapt exercises to accommodate my injuries. I left every class drenched in sweat and feeling amazing. There is nothing I would change about my experience with The Hub. I have been to many gyms and tried numerous diets and other things in my pursuit of finding my way to a body I feel comfortable living in. None of them stuck. Mostly, I think because the right kind of accountability wasn't built in to whichever one I was trying. I found the 80/20 Hub on a Facebook ad of all things. The ad advertised a 6 week nutrition and fitness challenge. I had been on my path to shedding some weight since April, I was down 20, but then I got complacent over the summer and knew I needed some extra support to go that last 10. So there I was. It's 7 weeks later and I got my results. 10.8 lbs in 6 weeks is pretty darn good. And I'm super happy with my results. What I didn't expect to find was a positive and welcoming community! Back from my community manager days here in Calgary, I know first hand how hard it is to create a place people want to hang out in, have fun together in and still make progress. Deb Sousa has done just that. Paired with her enthusiasm, endless energy, approachable nature, and killer nutrition and fitness knowledge has created my winning combo for lasting change. Now that my 6 week challenge is done, I've signed on for a full membership and it's easy to get my butt out of bed 3 mornings a week for a workout because it's a place I want to be.
