I used to work at a full line Nordstrom years ago, so I know quality when I see it. That's why I love the Rack because you can always expect good brands at better prices than you'd find at the full line store. To some people, Nordstrom Rack still feels a little pricey for a discount store, but you really have to compare it to the original full line price tags. I live in the NoDa area, and I will say this location was a bit farther out than I expected, about 25 minutes from my house. I was honestly surprised that there isn't a Nordstrom Rack closer to the city. This one is more on the outskirts, which is fine, but it does make quick trips or exchanges a little less convenient. Yes, you can return items at the full line Nordstrom, but sometimes you just want to browse and see what's new. Parking here was easy, and the store itself was clean and well organized. Coming from Houston and then Florida, I wasn't used to seeing so many coats in stock, so that actually caught my attention. They had a big winter selection, and I ended up leaving with a super cute trench coat, a puffer jacket, and a couple of other cold weather pieces since I know Charlotte winters are going to be colder. The staff was about as friendly as you'd expect at a Nordstrom Rack, but they moved quickly, and the checkout line wasn't long. Actually for it being an outlet, the selection was rather lacking. They had a very spare selection of assorted colored T-shirts. Usually this is an area in which they're winning the race by a long-shot. I guess this location is lacking because it's so small compared to a normal Old Navy (probably twice the size). They also don't have any of the work-out gear line that I like quite a bit. Prices aren't bad. Perhaps just a bit better since it's an outlet. As always with ON they seem incredibly overwhelmed and tables just become giant piles of clothes that staff can't keep up with.

I spent almost $300 on a purse, perfume and wristlet. Chris apologized for the experience and said they don't profile. However, I beg to differ. I'm giving two stars for Chris and her customer service. Otherwise, it would have been zero stars if I could.
