The apartment required extensive cleaning, and we ultimately had to hire professional cleaners ourselves after receiving little meaningful remediation despite repeated communication. Since move-in, we have dealt with a long list of unresolved maintenance issues, many of which were documented immediately upon occupancy, including: - a nonfunctional washing machine with standing water and visible mold - a nonfunctional microwave - exterior openings allowing animal activity in the walls/ceiling - a broken mailbox lock (mailbox doesn't close at all) - missing window screens - multiple additional maintenance and safety concerns We are now nearly a month into the lease and all of these items still remain unresolved. To be fair, Michelle eventually stepped in, acknowledged that our move-in experience fell short, and approved a partial rent credit toward the cleaning expense, which we appreciated. However, the overall experience has still felt highly reactive rather than proactive, with much of the burden of coordination falling on us as tenants. The most frustrating part has honestly been the lack of preparedness and follow-through. We understand that maintenance issues can happen, but a unit should not be turned over in this condition after repeated assurances that it was move-in ready.
