Received a RUDE message calling me a child. They are acting like they aren't billing me for a negative review. Tell me this: If I hadn't heard from them for six years & received a bill within just a few months of writing this review, wouldn't you think one had something to do with the other? Of course it does. But this is what untrustworthy "manager" Samantha said just today: "I assure you one doesn't have to do with the other. You first left your review in October 2018, for an experience you had with the company in 2012 because you just gotten around to doing a review. " First of all I moved out in 2014; it has been less than 5 years. Nice math, Sam. "Just gotten around?" Who says that? Am I kid turning in a late assignment or something? No. No I am not. How unprofessional. And I read the other reviews. It doesn't seem like much has changed since 2014 as the experiences detailed by other renters closely echoed that of my own, so much so I felt like I could have written them myself. She also said: "If you would like to discuss your concerns like adults" So apparently it's a business practice to speak to someone like a child, critiquing review timetables (as if that does ANYTHING but further prove I'm being billed BECAUSE of the review,) but also then chastise reviewers for using Yelp bc its not adult enough. DO NOT RENT THROUGH THIS COMPANY!!!! I moved here from Nevada a year ago thinking this company was promising. When I arrived to Tennessee I was a day early and they wouldn't allow me to get the key because they were doing "maintenance." I finally got the key and they said it would be ready but the realtor lock was on it which WE had to return because they never arrived to their scheduled pick up. As soon as I opened the door I realized I put a deposit on a POS rental. They claimed and STILL are 2 1/2 bath it's 1 1/2 bath.. There was stains in the carpet in every room, the carpet was torn/ felt like WAX, the outlet covers were broken, the baseboards were chipped, old tv wall hanger still drilled in to wall, dust and SPIDERS EVERYWHERE, kitchen and bathroom floors were sticky, cabinets had MOLD and stains everywhere, dishwasher never worked/full of water and mold water bottles that weren't ours (EVEN WITH MULTIPLE REQUESTS OVER A YEAR THEY NEVER FIXED IT) smoke detectors were hanging off the wire on ceilings, HAD TO REPLACE BOTH TOILET LIDS bc broken, unable to close one of toilet lids bc cabinet too large, had to replace moldy broken shower head, fridge drawers broken, all heat and air vent covers were rusted/broken, air filter was DISGUSTING, closet shelves broken, laundry room doors broken, window sills dirty/chipped/stained, spray nozzle to sink not attached, microwave and oven dirty - exterior had cracks/broken, and the exterior of the house was moldy/dirty - had NOT BEEN PRESSURE WASHED - light fixtures dirty/broken, missing fence boards -full fence panels falling off - "safe for dogs to stay" but my dog ESCAPED because the fence was not built to the house, the mailbox was held by a BROKEN SCREW & had to fix it, I got in trouble my first 2 weeks because of the HEDGES AND GRASS yet when I moved in they were not maintained. THE WEEDS WERE TOUCHING THE BOTTOM OF THE MAILBOX AND THE HEDGES WERE ALREADY OVERGROWN WHEN I MOVED IN. The gutters were also filled with tree branches, leaves, MOLD, etc. as though they had not been cleaned for years. There was also a fist sized hole in the garage from the door being slammed open. They never provided a garage door opener so you had to go through the house to the backyard to open the garage. Mold on exterior doors, trash in hedges (literally a full beer bottle and so much more.) We did a walk through after fixing it up leaving it in better condition than we got it and they're STILL taking money from us. I am appreciative of us having a house (not a home) for a year but disappointed that this is what they are providing for not only military families but families with children. When maintenance did arrive they left tree branches everywhere, cigarette buds by the FRONT DOOR, honestly never cleaned up after themselves with the exception of the very last time we got maintenance. Normally I would not complain or waste my time, however, their customer service IS LACKING, they are deceptive in advertisement, and choose NOT to take fault on their own actions by blaming us for the condition of the residence. RENTERS BEWARE!!!! Do not be fooled by their fancy building and website. You will be treated like shit from the moment you walk into the door down to the last minute you are scrambling to clean your POS rental for the walk-through inspection. I remember two years ago when we did a viewing on the house we rented. We noticed several things - oil marks on the walls, a mounted pull up bar in a door way, a missing mirror... They PROMISED that all repairs would be completed upon move in. Well, we moved in with stains smeared up and down walls, chunks missing out of the door frames, and mirror missing in a bathroom. Their response? "It is up to the owner's discretion if they wanna paint/fix the walls." The f??? (The mirror DID eventually get replaced...weeks after moving in... oh, but I had to be home midday to have them install it or I would have gotten charged $40 for the dude to enter the house. Yep, I had to take time off work so they could screw a shitty mirror into the wall that should have already been there upon move in) I could go on, but I'll just leave it at that. OWNERS BEWARE!!! While writing this review I will stick with the facts. 1. From the start of the professional relationship I believe Topflight has tried to over-charge and got as much money from us as possible After they knew my husband and I had moved from the Clarksville's area they conducted an inspection of the property and claimed the house was not clean and some fixtures were broken. Thankfully we lived in driving distance and were able to come back to the property and correct any issues stated on the inspection form. 2. On a number of occasions we did not receive the full amount of rent. After we confronted them about the incorrect amount, we were told if it is under $300 they do not have to tell us. This is in the contract and I am aware the repair account was set up for this. For a few months we would replenish the repair account only for them to tell us something else was wrong with the property. I asked for an invoice of the labor and materials used because I felt as though they overcharged us. I was told the vendor does not "break down" the invoice in that manner. 3. Many of the employees have selective memory. On a few occasions conversations I have had with employees, the employees seem to forget. 4. It took a long time for them to return my calls. In the contract it states around two days or less. It took nine days and that is with me sending an email and calling multiple times. 5. Our property manager "Delicia" was hostile. Very hostile After paying Topflight a monthly fee and not having my calls answered, the property manager called me one evening. She did not like the questions I was asking her. Even though I did not raise my voice to her she was very rude and she started yelling at me and told me she was working late providing customer service and deserved respect. She eventually called me a few mother f$@$@#"s and hung up on me. If you decide to select this company and you move far away from Clarksville you may not be able to return when something is wrong with your property to make the repairs yourself. Expect to be charged in excess. Also, it is my recommendation to get an outside vendor; this will help with the unnecessary charges. Have proof of conversations via email and do not expect quality customer service. I would give this company zero stars but it starts at one star. read more

I just got a house with TopFlight Realty Property Management and the whole process of looking for a house was a disaster until I came across these wonderful ladies. Kristen and Amanda both went ABOVE AND BEYOND any expectations. Amanda went as far as to cleaning my house before I moved in because I needed to move in within 24hrs. I walked in a mess and they really fixed me up and they work QUICK the whole process from beginning to end was only 24hrs! LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM!! As well as their the lack of motivation to fix the falling popcorn ceiling that took 4 months to come and fix. My wife and I have been using TopFlight for the past 4 years for both of our properties in Clarksville. We have always received great customer service from them and our homes are always rented and well maintained. Just recently, it appeared that our home warranty company refused to pay a claim due to some shady work done by one of the warranty company's designated technicians. Roni contacted us immediately, advising us of the issue and asked us to get in contact with the home warranty company. Topflight could have just paid the non covered expenses out of the rent, sent us an invoice, advised the warranty company was refusing to pay, and we would have been none the wiser. Instead, Roni sent us a detailed email walking us through everything that had been done by the technician and paid for by the warranty company over the past 9 months. We called the warranty company, got everything taken care of and did not have to come out of pocket. Great customer service and way to look out for your clients, TopFlight! I would recommend Topflight to anyone looking for a great property management company. read more

If I could give this place a 0 I would. As a property owner I keep having maintence on a house that isn't even 3 years old. I've recieved 5 full payments in the 19 months my house has been under their management. I will never even them even so much manage motor home if I had the choice. I've been in contact with JAG, housing services, and a private lawyer just to deal with this incompetent company. If you're military they really try to screw you over. I hope they get blacklisted and shut down. I have 3 months left on my contract with them and im moving on to greener pastures. read more

Would love to rate this a 0 star. Let me just explain that I have NEVER encountered such a horrific company such as this one. These horrible people took away our deposit saying we caused damages that we did NOT do, and they weren't even our original rental company. I showed them countless proof that we did indeed not do said damage and they still regardless of them only having BLACK AND WHITE photos to go off prior condition of the home, (which was awful) they still didn't give us back our deposit. I would not recommend using Top Flight Property Management to oversee your rental property. They are unprofessional, they stop responding to emails when problem arise, use substandard contractors when repairs are made, and do not return your property in the condition they received it (this does not include normal wear and tear). Complete lack of integrity. Will not address one issue brought to them but adamant that I pay a $300 "closing" fee. I also believe that Top Flight Property Management takes advantage of their primarily military customer base. They seem to rely on the owners of the property will not return to the area and are rarely around to check the quality of their "repairs". There is not one item that was repaired in our home that I would have allowed to stand if I had been present when they where made. This includes basic painting (slop marks throughout the house and over gutters after front railing was repainted), a water leak from behind the refrigerator that left the molding torn from the wall, or the privacy fence they solicited me to put up that was installed unprofessionally and is in need of serious repair pair after three years. Here is a list of the items that should have been identified and rectified while under the care of Top Flight Property Management: 1. The front door deadbolt was replaced with a digital combination lock. This was never authorized by me, the home owner, and was not returned to it's original condition prior to the tenant's departure. Additionally, the digital combination was not provided, the hardware installed does not match the existing hardware, and the previous hardware was not left in the house. Picture provided previously. 2. The master bedroom had a key lock in it's door. That has been replaced. The original lock was left on the property but there are no keys remaining with it. 3. In the formal dining room the right, lower window has obvious damage to one of it's latches. We are not sure of the extent of damage and will not be until we can have a professional evaluate if the window can be repaired or if it will have to be replaced. Picture provided previously. 4. The right, lower window in the master bedroom obviously has moisture between the panes. This may be an issue with the window in general or it may be cracked. Again we will not know until a professional can evaluate it. This is something that should have been readily identified and reported though. Picture provided previously. 5. There are child safety locks screwed into the majority of lower cabinets and drawers in the kitchen. We were never asked nor did we ever consent to have holes screwed into our kitchen cabinets. Pictures provided previously. 6. Foam pads were glued to the fireplace base and currently still remain. We are unsure if the removal of the adhesive will damage the finish on the stone it is attached to. This is another glaring item that should have been easily identified and addressed prior to the tenant's departure. Pictures provided previously. 7. We paid for repairs behind the refrigerator caused by a water leak billed directly to Top Flight Property Management so we are unclear who actually performed the work. During the repair the baseboard was removed and was not replaced. There should have been some type of follow up on the repairs to ensure a quality job was done. This does not seem to the be case. Picture provided previously. 8. There are obvious dents to the side of the refrigerator that were not there when the house was turned over to Top Flight Property Management. We were never made aware of the damage and there does not appear to be any deduction in previous security deposits to cover the damage. Picture provided previously. 9. The air intake vent in the lower level bedroom is dented. We were never made aware of the damage and there does not appear to be any deduction in previous security deposits to cover the damage. Picture provided previously. 10. The latch on the privacy fence is broken. We were never made aware of the damage and there does not appear to be any deduction in previous security deposits to cover the damage. Picture provided previously. 11. There are two issues with the privacy fence which Top Flight Property Management failed to address when they arranged for it to be installed. First is that the boards on the front gate were not spaced properly leaving a large gap. This was fixed by adding an overlapping board to cover it. That is not a typical or professional solution for a newly installed fence and has already begun to warp and pull away from the frame. Picture previously included. 12. The second issue with the fence is that there is no rear access to the easement between properties. We were ensured by Top Flight Property Management that the HOA would be notified and that all HOA guidelines would be followed. It was not and will cost me additional money to fix. read more

What do you know... Another 1 star review. I wish I had read the reviews here and on Google before renting. But here we are, writing yet another negative review about this company. Most reviews said they'll do anything they can to take your money and I'm here to tell you that's true. When we moved into our house it was dirty. Food crusted in the sink, crumbs in the fridge, a spill on the living room floor and bottom of the pantry, the master shower was gross and even an actual dirty foot print on the wall where I'm assuming someone kicked it. They had ZERO concerns for the condition of the home. We had a sit down meeting with the owner, Roni, and nothing was resolved. When we moved out we left the house in much better condition than what we received it. But we had some anchors in the walls from hanging heavy pictures. In the move out inspection list it does NOT state that anchors need to be removed and holes patched. It DOES state in bold and capital letters "DO NOT PATCH HOLES" which is understandable because some people wouldn't know how to do it properly. But we're now being charged $480 to repair the holes. There is no way it would actually cost that much to fix. Total rip off. And when you put in a work order it could take several weeks to hear anything. We had a broken toilet for about 3 weeks and no AC for 3 weeks. Way to care about your tenants. DO NOT RENT from this company!!! read more

Now all of a sudden after we're gone we over over $600 for the same $100 stuff that was pointed out at move out. Let me remind you that this places was dirty and looked like garbage at move in. Looked worse at move in than our move out. They know how to truly screw you into more money once you're gone. And might I add $200 of the deposit wasn't refundable and they didn't make the house rentable until a month after we left so they could pocket a whole months rent for us. We have leased a property from Top Flight for the last 3 years. Clarksville is a very robust rental market and we lost out on 3 homes with another agency, prior to moving on with TopFlight. The office staff has always answered our calls, responded to needs with the property - water leaking from refrigerator, water damage to flooring related to ice maker, water leaking from a window after winter storms and a roof leak after ice and snow. They have paid attention to maintenance of HVAC and power washed the exterior, annually. The service vendors have been people you can trust to be in your home. We have loved this house as our own for 3 years but are ready to purchase our own home now. We had given TopFlight our required 30 day notice to vacate, when we encountered delays with our home purchase, TopFlight worked with us to allow for an extended 30 days - we would have been homeless without this extension. If I were a home owner wanting to lease my property, I would have faith and confidence in Roni and her team. As well, as a tenant, we have been treated with nothing but respect, fairness and as partners in making sure we reside in a comfortable home in a safe and secure area. read more

I would not recommend this company to any service member in the Fort Campbell area. I've had a lot of experience with other rental companies in Clarksville and Top Flight is definitely the worst. They take advantage of knowing the Army system and knowing the exact monetary value they can get from Soldiers. (Nickel and Dime Soldiers based on their BAH even if they're leaving the country AND THEY KNOW YOUR SHORT TIMELINE). This is a terrible practice that must be stopped and must be investigated. They treat Soldiers like criminals during the application process. They initially demanded that my rental payment be an allotment on my LES so that they could "make sure" the payments went through. I have never done this for any company and it seems like an untrustworthy business practice. Is it even legal to require this? Customer service is condescending and the response time is slow. They make it difficult to navigate their phone system. You will often go to voicemail (which is not monitored and storage is full so you can't leave your own message) calling the multiple office phone numbers they have. Very unprofessional through the emails they send out, phone conversations, and FaceBook responses. Scheduling maintenance repairs is a hassle and if you can't be at your residence at the times they assign you they will charge Soldiers large fees. They do not ask/work with people on scheduling times even knowing the hectic schedules service members have. There were also many maintenance requests ignored. Finally to mention again, they will "nickel and dime" Soldiers during the move out inspection even when the damages were from the company's previous repairs on the walls, floors, ceilings, etc. They know you are moving/deploying to other places but will conveniently charge you an amount similar to your BAH/security deposit (or more) you initially gave them. read more

I wish I would have known about yelp when I first was looking for a place to rent!! If I could have seen the reviews before I rented property from TopFlight I would have went with another company. You can't always judge a book by its cover! They look soooo good on the outside nice business until you actually start renting the property!! This company is just money hungry all they care about is money money money!! They take forever to fix a maintenance problem don't care if it's 100 degrees and your air has went out or 0 degrees and you don't have heat! As long as they get that rent on the first that's all that matters!! I thought this was going to be a good rental company to go with since it was my first time living in oak grove until we got into the rental property and the previous tenants came by to pick up mail and my fiancé talked to them and he warned us how the company was going to be when we moved out! They charge you for everything even the simplest things that can't be avoided when living in there property!! If you have pets you mine as well not rent with them they charge for them double time!! The lady I dealt with was rude, unfriendly and talked down to me. They nickel and dime you for everything and I was not allowed to see the property before renting it. I had to put a months rent down to hold the rental because rental properties go so quickly. (I had 2 rented out from under me as I was being shown other properties around town) I put a month's rent down on it to hold the house for me until it was unoccupied and I could do a walk through. I thought I would lose $200 by doing this and then not taking the house after walk-through. Nope, would lose the entire month's rent if I didn't take the house. They would keep over $1300 of my money if I backed out even though I wasn't even allowed a showing before renting. If I had seen the place before I wouldn't have taken it. But since I was going to lose all that money I am stuck here. They don't care if you want the place, they just want your money. BBB will be getting a call. From the beginning of our contract, I have repeatedly asked them to contact me instead of my husband in all matters regarding our account. They have not. I have repeatedly asked them to email me if any repairs have been requested or completed. They have not. I have repeatedly called and spoke with one person or another and been told I will receive a call back and I don't. They hired a company to cut down our tree, but not one to haul it away, though it should have been an entire package. They hired a company to replace our A/C unit and a little more than a year later we found out it had been installed incorrectly, but they told us the company could not be held accountable. This took them at least a month to communicate to us, and we still disagree with that statement. Former tenants have contacted us stating that the company never returns their calls, answers their complaints, or are helpful when they are speaking with them. They charge us erroneous charges such as a "Lease Renewal Fee" and an annual "Direct Deposit Fee". The last straw was the other day when I was trying to have this "Lease Renewal Fee" explained to me and was told the Accounting Department would call me back within the hour and it has now been two weeks. I emailed the company asking for a copy of the management agreement three days ago and have yet to receive anything. I recently asked AGAIN that I be contacted in the event we should have some charge on our account and they did not. Instead I found out when our rent is deposited in our account and was not enough money. read more

Now that we are going to move out we were told that we would have to pay the rent till someone else moves in or fork up two thousand out our assess just so we could move out. My husband rented a house from this company for one year and had to come up with $925 for a deposit along with another $400 deposit for our senior dogs. When we moved out we were told we needed to have the house clean and have the carpets professionally cleaned. My husband and I spent all day on a Saturday after all of our belongings were moved out to clean the empty house. We also paid to have the carpets professionally cleaned and the guy who came to clean the carpets told us this was the cleanest carpets he has ever had to clean and didn't understand why we needed to have the professionally cleaned. Well when we had the final inspection the woman who came to do the inspection said that we left to house extremely clean and should be looking at around $800 back from our deposit. Well My husband and I learned that we will only be getting $235 back!!! The reason is for cleaning (which they did have to clean the oven and refrigerator) and air filter and 2 light bulbs. How does that add up to $565?!!?!? Like I stated previously we only lived there for a year. During that year we had to live there for 3 days without working plumbing because the toilets stopped working over a holiday weekend and they couldn't get someone out to look at the pipes!!!! Well when they finally made an appearance they said there was baby wipes in the pipes...We don't have children so they were not from us!!! This is BULLSHIT and we should be getting more money back!!!!! read more

Absolutely terrible. I've only been a tenant for 2.5 weeks and already I can't wait to move. We moved into a house that sat empty for around a year (I REALLY had to pull teeth to find that out when I asked about it, and it wasn't even solidly confirmed) and it has so many routine maintenance issues, it's laughable. The place wasn't even looked at before they gave us the keys, and if it had been, they could've easily addressed most of the concerns I have. I have had them cancel a work order with no notice, and they've ignored some significant requests that I sent on the second day after we moved in. I've been told they're "waiting" on one vendor about repairing our front door which doesn't latch and lock properly, and literally no other updates about my other 5-6 initial maintenance concerns. The customer service is severely lacking and some employees make me feel like they're ignoring me or laughing at me. I've had only one positive discussion with one person at this office and even then, when she made me feel I'd been heard, nothing has changed as far as the ridiculously poor communication. When I emailed the office directly, I wasn't even given a reply email saying, "We got your email and will look into it." I had to walk in two days later to even get confirmation that my email had been opened. read more

I actually did not have bad experience while renting with topflight. The bad came after our move out inspection. The actual inspection went okay. The prices for certain minor repairs are quite steep. The tenants are set up for failure if any thing touches the walls; they use the cheapest paint. Also, the actual property wasn't in the condition they expect upon move out, when we first moved in. The worst part was trying to receive the $325.00 they owed us for our security deposit. After over month of waiting, me and husband decided to call. Only to be told that they mailed out the check an entire month ago, and that if we wanted another check we would have to pay them $45.00 to cancel the check, and then they would send another. (Even though they checked and the check was never cashed) I questioned Kasey about wanting proof that the check was actually sent out. I was denied any proof, and was told the check was just sent through USPS, without a tracking number. After getting no resolution with Kasey, my husband then contacted the Manager, I'm not sure what her name is. She was also no help, and full of attitude. Considering that they took upon themselves to send it with USPS, and not offer us a more reliable mailing option, they were at fault, and should of fixed the problem, cost free. Now had it of been money we owed topflight, I'm sure they would not be too happy if we told them we mailed out a check and if they wanted another, they would have to pay our check cancellation fee. This company has zero customer service skills. I can now see why the ratings are so low, and they will continue to lower if they don't change the way they treat people, especially good tenants. Oddly we received the check a week after we started calling them about it. I'm pretty sure they never mailed it, and never planned to if we didn't keep calling. I haven't been impressed with TopFlight. When I moved into the house I am renting now it was nasty filthy floors, countertops, bathrooms, windowsills and the yard front and back was not maintained at all. They do not seem to be flexible at all, the finance department at my place of employment did not directly deposit my paycheck and would not until mid month (totally out of my control when I get paid biweekly) yet they still charged me a late fee and threaten to evict me from the property after I explained the situation and offered proof. I do not plan to renew my lease and anyone interested in 514 Aurelia Lynn in Clarksville DO NOT RENT THE HOME. This has nothing to do with TopFlight it is due to the neighbors and their dogs they never stop barking. I have called animal control and local law enforcement and they have done nothing. If you value your sleep find a different property to rent. read more
