I came into the "store" for the first time last week (first of 3 visits within a week's time), and was greeted by the owner, Steve. After looking at the merchandise he had, I'd decided on a particular refrigerator (which was in my budget). But he was dead set on selling me another fridge, which was $25 more than I'd wanted to pay. He claimed that the other fridge was a newer model and worked better. I took his word and purchased it, along with a box spring that he claimed was in good condition. On the day of delivery (next day), the fridge was delivered. The box spring was also brought by a different set of men (a couple of old, sloppy, unprofessional and unkempt looking guys). I had to turn them around to take back the bedding, as it was dirty, not covered as previously promised, and not in the condition I was told it would be in. But the younger guys that delivered the fridge were more professional, and worked very quickly. I plugged the fridge in and left it for 24 hrs to stabilize. After 24 hrs, snow/ice chips had formed in the freezer (near the vents) but the fridge part was slightly cool, NOT cold. I gave it the benefit of the doubt, set the fridge temp at a higher cooling temp and decided to let it sit for another 24 hrs. Afterward, more ice had formed in the freezer, but the butter in my fridge was still soft. I visited the store a second time to get my refund for the returned box spring and notified Steve. He nonchalantly promised to have someone come to my place and "take a look" at 9am that next morning. I gave him my contact info in hopes that he'd follow thru. The next morning came, no word. The day after, I called, and after a million times trying to reach Steve, I got hold of him and his excuse was that "things were busy". Ok, why didn't I get a call? Anyway, he again promised that he or someone would come the NEXT morning. Bullshit. Next morning came and went with no call or visit. So, I went back to the store for the third time for a refund and arrange the pickup of the faulty fridge. I was given my money back, with attitude, after being kept waiting almost 20 minutes. He sent his guys to get "his" fridge. TAKE your damn fridge. I tried giving this business a chance, but in the end it deserves NO stars. The owner needs to retire and give the business to someone who actually knows how to run it, and not try to pawn off janky ass products that malfunction. read more

So often people forget to tell the world when we come across great service as opposed to when we don't. So I called both telephone numbers listed for Steve V-O's and didn't get an answer on either. 10 minutes later I got a callback from Steve himself. I was looking for a black or stainless steel side-by-side refrigerator. He didn't have any but he did have a nice beige one. After patiently answering my 20 questions, I apologized and informed him that because it was hot, and I don't get around too good these days, he offered to pick me up. Within 20 minutes one of his workers was ringing my doorbell (instead of honking the horn). The unit looked as good as he described. I was sold immediately. The price was reasonable, in fact, I picked out a washing machine to go to my order. I truly expected to get the we can deliver it tomorrow song. NOPE!! Me, 2 workers, and my Frigidaire side-by-side, and Kenmore washer were back home within 35 minutes. They hauled out my old fridge and washer, hooked up the water line to the fridge, and hooked up my new washing machine, cleaned up behind themselves and left without me giving a tip. I'm as pleased as Rum Punch with a shot of Captain Morgan to go with it. read more

The place NOT to go! Breaks down after 24- 48 hours. He with not replace at equal value. Showed no concern his appliances cost me upwards $160 worth of food. Would not answer the phone when compensation requested. Not an honorable businessman. The repair people were great. read more

I had been a 15 year loyal customer for all of my appliances. This is no more. They have reasonably priced used appliances and I try to support local business but they have lost me as a customer. I purchased a stove from them after a very rocky business transaction a few months ago. The oven dial broke after a week and I was told parts are not party of the warranty. So... I'm just out of 250 bucks and they could care less. Smh. The frustration I went through to get the stove and to have this happen? I don't even live anywhere need the site. I passed multiple stores to support their business. Never again. read more

If I could give NO stars that would be too much! This is the most GHETTO, UNRELIABLE, UNPROFESSIONAL so called moving company I've ever dealt with! Just a down right pitiful poor excuse of a business. They're a storefront resale shop that oh yeah we can charge people to move setup. It's despicable how they run their business anyone knows that you should complete the job before you start to leave that's exactly what they did threw things in the truck and poorly executed the actual staking of boxes and moving of furniture that I want to tell any and all to absolutely NEVER EVER go here in hopes of dealing with a legit and professional moving company. Spend a little bit more and go with the UHAUL across the street or just anyone else except for steve vo!! It's just a shame how these little neighborhood places can't do right for their small clientele so sad and pitiful they are I don't see how they're still in business! :( :( read more
