I had a very positive experience with everyone from making the appointment, the front desk, the Xray tech and nurse. I want to give a special shout out for greatness to Chelsea Compitello, Dr. Anderson's Nurse Practitioner. She was fantastic, listened well to everything I said, asked great questions about past injuries, had Xrays done, read and explained them to me, then offered treatment options. We also discussed possible future gel injections or knee replacement since my current injury didn't require surgical intervention, but degeneration in the joint will need to be tended to at some point. Having had vascular issues my entire life, I wanted to rule out another one before seeing a general surgeon. Dr. Purcell told me it was not vascular, but a hydocele. He said it wasn't a big deal unless it bothered me, which it did not. Here I am 4 years later with an infected incarcerated inguinal hernia. It started when my stationary bike dropped one night while excercising. No big deal, I got off and raised it, jumped back on and finished my miles. Withing about 30 minutes, I was in horrific pain lower left abdomen. To make a long story short: 4 ER visits, diverticulitis, hernia surgery, and a bowel blockage with four days "nothing by mouth." They said everything was inflamed: my uterus, small and large bowel and diaphragm. Untold amounts of vomiting and diarrhea. Now a gut that returns to d and v unless I eat certain foods. He should have told me to see a general surgeon.

Instead, I was given a different medication to try without filling my long stand prescription. When I followed up to request the original prescription be reinstated, I was told I would need to come back in for another visit--despite already having been seen. Seeking clarification, I asked to speak directly with the medical director. Instead, I was contacted by the clerical office manager, who was not qualified to discuss or make decisions regarding my medical care. I reiterated my request to speak with the director, a licensed provider. I was told by the office manager, that even when I was seen again, they would not be refilling my prescription--again, without proper clinical justification or involvement from a licensed physician. This experience left me feeling unheard and dismissed. It further eroded my confidence in this offices trading and clinical expertise. I expect a healthcare provider to handle medication management with professionalism, transparency, and respect for patient history. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. I will be filing a complaint with the North Carolina Medical Practice.

When I was a student at Appalachian State, he took care of my back while I played 4 years on the ASU Men's Varsity golf team. It was great to see him again and would recommend him to anyone that has any type of back or neck pain. I've seen 6 different chiropractors in my life since I was a kid. Rebecca, Dr Graham's nurse, was very attentive and thoughtful and thorough. She had already gone over dad's records even though we just brought them that visit. Dr. Graham also was up to speed on his records upon entering the appointment. He spent a lot of time talking to dad about his history and his recommendations for dad. He was encouraging while still preserving my dad's pride! This office and all personnel were professional and wonderful! It's always hard to find a new doctor when you move to a new state and this was refreshing and easy! He will be well taken care of here!
