Dr. Cassidy was strongly recommended for my mother's tooth extraction by our dentist (who we trust implicitly) but seemed irritated or impatient with my mom's ALZ and anxiety. I understand that those behaviors are challenging and upsetting for some people but it has me in tears thinking of his interaction with her at the consult and on the day of the extraction. He was cold, brusque, and talked over the top of my mother as she was speaking. One of my mother's behaviors is repeating herself or asking the same question again and again. This was not received well by the doctor, and his tone made that clear. When he showed this behavior at the consult, I chalked it up to a busy or not great day for him. To see it again yesterday was heartbreaking. I wish more than ever that I could have been permitted to be with her during the procedure. How did he behave with her when I wasn't in the room? The staff were all extremely kind and pleasant, including a word of compassion from the staff member who wheeled my mom to the car. I felt compelled to share my impressions and perception of our family's experience.

Thankfully, Dr. Cassidy took my concerns very seriously and got me through the surgery with absolutely no noticeable stress to my jaw. The entire staff here was very knowledgeable and professional. All of my appointments ran on time. Though Dr. Cassidy and his associate run three separate offices in the area, this did not impact his availability. You can schedule your surgery in a different location from your consult if it works into your schedule better. Dr. Cassidy even called me to see how I was doing the evening after my surgery. We booked an emergency appointment when my fiance couldn't eat her teeth were so bad. She hasn't been able to eat in over a month and she had become very thin. We both have disabilities so whme tried to get an Uber to our 345 appointment but the first one cancelled and we arrived 7 minutes late. She smiled as she kept towing the same line and I just kept thinking about the sobbing sounds of my fiance at night when the pain was so severe she couldn't stand it and I began to become furious. He then tried to make what I believe was a very crude pass at my fiance and became embarrassed , lied and stumbled on his words when I had asked him if he had ever had a lived one with a severe condition like this before telling me that I was the one being rude. They have digital x-ray machines and offer same day services for procedures like crowns. His filling was very quick and painless, and he was sure to check in throughout to make sure I was comfortable. They use a "wand" for administering the anesthesia so there is minimal discomfort as opposed to the traditional injections. I would definitely recommend using this family practice for adults and children!
