Dr. DeSantis cares more about the patient outcome and experience than he does about the bottom line. He works for himself, not for a profit-driven corporation that will still try to upsell you when your teeth are falling out and all your credit cards are maxed out. I came here as a last resort after having my mouth ruined at a corporate dentist's office. I had two baby canines, which my former dentist pulled and fitted with temporary bridges...which proceeded to fall off six times in a month (which is great if you want to lose weight, since I couldn't eat properly). I ended up enduring at least two weeks with four tiny peg teeth on each side. Thank god I work remotely. See my review for 1st Advantage Dental for the gory details. Enter East Greenbush Dental. I sent them a (probably) panicked, overdramatic email explaining my dire situation. They agreed to see me last minute even though I was a new patient. Dr. DeSantis checked out my tiny stub teeth and did some 3-D x-rays, and then proceeded to build from thin air a set of temporary bridges that lasted not 3 days, but over two months. Early this week, he put in the permanent bridges and they are perfect. I'm not afraid that my teeth are permanently damaged or that these bridges are going to fall out in 3 weeks. I know that this doctor knows what he's doing and actually cares about the outcome. Dr. DeSantis will explain everything and he takes his time. You won't see the doctor for only 30 seconds (or not at all) like at ordinary practices. He has a varied background that includes some programming and graphic design so if you're lucky, he will be able to whip some teeth out of the ether and into the 3-D printer like he did for me. He's also funny, and has a bit of a Beastie Boy vibe (if you're not an elder Millennial or baby Gen X, that statement won't make any sense, so just don't worry about it). I'll be a patient here until they either fire me or the doctor retires.

Dr. Sachakov and Sakina gave me their full attention during the nearly 1.5-hour appointment. Whenever they needed to step out, they never left me waiting for long. The numbing/novocain was expertly done. I felt no pain during the appointment, but Dr. Sachakov managed to do that without over-numbing me, which I personally find really unpleasant. Both he and Sakina were painstaking and thorough throughout the appointment and asked me all along the way if I was doing okay or if I needed more numbing. Dr. Sachakov took over the practice of a beloved local dentist here--never an easy undertaking. In my mind, he and his staff provide as good or better care.

This was just an amazing experience…read more I had a terrible accident. I fell while climbing a fence in the rain and broke my front teeth as well as the one next to them. I mean they were smashed. I panicked, I cried. I went home to my girl and was ashamed. First thing in the morning I began to look up reviews and prices for dentists. I researched, I asked people for recommendations. My girlfriend was told by her professor that Dr. Vignali has been her family dentist (4 children) for years and that she highly recommends his office. WOW I called around 10 am and they gave me a 2 oclock appointment which I was happy to except. I am not insured (despite working 80 hrs per week with 4 jobs), so price was an obvious concern. This place was not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either (for some reason a dentist on Broadway in Downtown Albany, whose prices were half of most others and whose reviews claimed the office was dirty didn't make me want to trust them with my front teeth). I waited for about five minutes. The staff was so comforting from the assistant to the secretaries to the Dentist himself. They made the worst experience of my life much easier. The office was meticulously clean. They had the latest equipment, including a flat screen TV that showed you the x rays as soon as they were taken with a cool little x-ray gun and not the big machine I am used to. When the Dr. gave my the anesthetic it was painless. The procedure was also painless, and quick. Before I knew it I had nice presentable teeth. They were also very good at educating me on what they were doing, how I should care for my new teeth, and what to expect in the future. They did not try to sell me on a bunch of needless procedures and work like some dentists have in the past. Overall, I recommend this office very highly. They made a world of difference for me through this terrible mishap.

The technician really put me at ease with nice chatter to take my mind off things and even make me laugh before dr came in. Dr Vignali went slowly and explained exactly what he was doing every step of the way which relaxed me tremendously. He is knowledgeable about TMJ issues, unlike otherwise dentists Ive been to. I needed the application of ceramic that matched my teeth. They matched them perfectly! They also had to do some filing down of the new ceramic material on my teeth. He carefully and checked my bite and made adjustments multiple times to make sure teeth were touching everywhere evenly. I am happy to smile again.

The first two dentists I called didn't give me a good feeling. I called Dr Strumfeld's office and he answered the phone. We discussed my problem over the phone and he invited me in to pick up papers to come in following monday for xrays. Even leaving me with encouraging words over the phone. I arrived for xrays and was taught alot about my teeth and some misconceptions I had about my teeth. After teaching me about this stuff for over and hour he arrived upon a plan to fix my teeth fully with several extractions and fillings, for a very reasonable price. He was also very kind and inspirational, telling me that I can turn things around for my teeth and my health. It's always been hard for me to find and keep a good dentist but I respect Charles very much and hope to work with him as long as I live nearby! ***Update*** I got work done by Dr Strumfeld about two weeks ago now. They got me seen very quick, and they called the doctor, and he came in and told me everything he was going to have to do and it was over.
