Dr. Elle is very knowledgeable, funny, warm, and really good at explaining exactly what she's doing and why--which I appreciate, especially when someone is approaching my toe with sharp instruments. She made the whole experience so much easier (and far less dramatic) than I had imagined. Her office staff is also genuinely lovely--friendly, helpful, and welcoming. And as an artist, I have to give bonus points for the fabulous foot-themed artwork throughout the office. Every appointment was a breeze and efficient from the start, Jazmin and Christina are very welcoming and Dr Farajian herself evaluated and personally talked to me about her treatment plan on my first visit, after getting my feet digitally scanned and x-rayed, sadly my Insurance did not cover any part of it upon verification, so I had to invest in myself out of pocket, and putting all my trust as a patient onto Dr. Farajian. Tiny to No pain, No surgery, No fear all throughout my treatment process, they worked with my work schedule too. I can confidently say now It is worth it, this time of writing is 3 weeks post-growth factor treatment and walking with my new insoles, still waiting for full recovery of my growth factor as advised and directed by Dr., so I am still taking it easy, but for now I am back to normal activities, ZERO pain, ZERO limping, ZERO struggles in walking, taking stairs, ladders, driving because every step feels and looks normal now. and of course no more swelling anywhere. From the moment I arrived, everyone was welcoming and professional. Check-in was quick, and I was called back to the exam room within minutes. Shortly after, Dr. Yang came in, which I really appreciated because I wasn't left waiting like I have been at many other medical offices. Dr. Yang took the time to explain my options for treating my pinky toe. He explained the difference between removing the ingrown portion of the nail, which would eventually grow back, and performing a permanent procedure that involved numbing my toe, removing the nail, and applying acid to prevent it from growing back. He walked me through two surgical options: being admitted to the hospital or having the procedure done right in his well equipped office under local anesthesia. I chose the office procedure, and I'm so glad I did! During our consultation, I asked if I could film some of the surgery. Dr. Fishman immediately gave me the OK, making sure I was comfortable watching it. The procedure itself went incredibly well. I was so impressed that he has an X-ray machine right in the room to precisely locate where the incision and bone cutting need to happen. The entire operating room and all of the equipment were absolutely pristine and sterile. It has been about 6 weeks since the procedure, and my toes are completely straight again. I still have many weeks for the bones to completely heal, but the pain is entirely gone, and I have an incredible video to remember the experience by!
