First time being here in hopes of getting a pain I've had within my tooth for about 3-4 months…read morefixed (the solution being just needing a cavity change). My appointment was meant for 12:30, I arrive at 12:20 to fill the needed paperwork's. The receptionist said it wasn't registered in the system for that time instead it showed 1:30. They take me in around 12:30 and I'm satisfied thinking "wow, fast service" no. They took the plaque, asked me why I was in, etc. He comes in at 1:30 exactly, so had me waiting in the chair for a full hour. Now this is when it becomes frustrating. I explain to him the reason I am here, he proceeds to tell me it's due to a complete diff reason. Again, I tell him it is not the tooth he's speaking of, but the one behind it and how long the pain has been there for. He proceeds to tell me that due to HIM running behind in his schedule (ALTHOUGH MY APPT WAS FOR 12:30) he cannot complete the service for me unless it's only a cleaning I would like. I was completely livid from the moment I heard that because changing a cavity is something any other dentist does right then and there ALONG with the cleaning. And why should I suffer and not get the reason I came into this place in the first place handled, because HE WAS RUNNING LATE. He should've had the others waiting as he had me. Made no sense and I felt as though he was just trying to dismiss me as he didn't care to do the filling. Never EVER going there again. And if I were you, I wouldn't either. They should also get receptionist that actually update the system so there are no confusions when it comes to scheduling. 0/10.

I would recommend Dr. Patel and his staff to anyone who needs a doctor that will provide the time…read moreand proper care for his/her patients. Since young my dentist visits were always terrible. My memory of dentist visits were painful and traumatic. One of the reasons why I never went back to the dentist for many many years. Dr. Patel changed all that and going to the dentist regularly will now become a routine. He is very knowledgeable and experienced. There are many good doctors out there, but as good as a doctor is, as knowledgeable as the doctor is, if not enough care (time & effort) is given to the patient, then you end up with the wrong treatment or diagnosis. Dr. Patel took his time to explain in detail my condition, what the preventive measures are and next steps to take. Very comfortable environment to be in. Thank you Dr. Patel!

He really works with you and your insurance to help make the least amount possible come out of pocket. He's never hurt me during teeth cleanings. Always warns before he has to go in deep to clean. He's patient too if it's too painful just let him know and he'll pause. His wife is very sweet and runs the front desk. I like the personal touch where they call to wish you a happy birthday every year.

I went to this office one time and the experience wasn't that great…read more First of all my appt was at 10am and when I go there 5 min early they were still closed. I tried to call and the number they had was a general number (maybe answering service) who had no idea what was going on. The guy told me to just wait and the receptionist/ assistant would show up soon. So I waited outside and after 15 min I left. I finally get a call at 10:25 and guy said she was there. I go back and they have paperwork for me to fill out and Dentist is literally waiting for me, not knowing it wasn't me who held up the appt but his receptionist who was late. Dentist was very helpful and knowledgeable. He was gentle and made me feel comfortable. So after a rocky first appt I decided to have my work done there only because I liked the doctor and called again to make appt with dentist So yet again I called and spoke to same person at the main phone number listed. I asked the guy to spell the doctor name and I guess he didn't know how and somehow phone disconnected. I called back several times with no answer, 10 minutes later I get a text asking to call me back later! (Very strange) I then try to call back after the text for no answer again! After little while I get another call and guy was very rude and insisted he never hung up, ignored my call, even said he never text me. After letting him know I can show him text he said he only sent it because I was calling so much and he was on the phone. What a unprofessional liar! Last time I ever go there. I'll just pay my $1500 cash to an office that can spell their doctors name!

Do not let Dr. Sabolboro do implants or crowns! I went to this office for a few years and they were…read morefine for cleanings and cavities but I had major issues when I needed more extensive work. He did an implant which seemed fine until the crown kept falling off. I don't think it stayed on for more than a couple days. After going in several times to have it tightened, he said that he thought the implant wasn't sitting at the correct angle inside my gums. He said he could try to do it again but a bridge would be a better option as it would be faster and because I'd probably have the same issue with another implant. He also said he'd have to file down a perfectly fine tooth in order to have a bridge. In hindsight I should have gotten a second opinion but I had no reason not to trust him at this point. He offered to do it right away because it would only take 15 minutes. I told him I had to pick my kids up and he reassured me that it would be fast. It took HOURS. Luckily my husband was able to pick up my kids. I normally don't have issues with dental work but this experience changed that. He clearly did not know what he was doing. Finally he got the implant out. I went back for the bridge and that came out after a day. Went back several times to have the bridge put back in. In the meantime another crown he did kept falling off. He told me that he thought the issue was that I have too much saliva which I didn't buy bc I would assume that another dentist would have said something to me about that by this point in my life. I went to another dentist who confirmed that I did not have too much saliva. The other dentist also said that she saw no reason that the implant should have come out. No reason to destroy a healthy tooth for a bridge. Also a bridge is more expensive to replace than just one crown. I stayed with the new dentist who kept having to tighten my crown and re-cemented my bridge until it broke. After it broke, I reached out to Sabolboro and asked for my money back which he did not do. He did offer to re-do the work but I did not feel comfortable having him do that. Unfortunately, my insurance only covers bridges and crowns every 5 years so I've gone without because I'd rather do that, then have Dr. Sabolboro do anything to my teeth.

Yani on the left & Dee on your right in the picture provided. This was my first visit. The wait was brief about 15 mins for an initial visit while you fill out a form, and then you're off to X-rays. The dentist is welcoming & attentive. I was worried & anxious about the visit because my previous dentist had told me I had over $10K worth of immediate work that I had been procrastinating on, but to my surprise, Dr. S gave my mouth a clean bill of health! I was so surprised! I had told him beforehand that I was previously told there's A LOT of work in my mouth, but he took his time & explained he didn't see any need. I then waited for my hygienist, who did a thorough cleaning & took her time explaining what I can do for sensitive teeth. In the end you get a goodie bag & a smile for the road. Dr. Sabolboro is an honest and caring dentist. Finally, I found a dentist I can trust & recommend to all. I'm so happy I was recommended this place. They accept UFT & many other insurances. Parking is tricky. You may need to drive around, but visits are quick. Happy Yelping!

I called to inquire about a service, and the receptionist's attitude was extremely unprofessional…read moreand dismissive. It felt as though I was inconveniencing her just by asking questions. The front desk staff represent the doctor and the entire practice, and this experience alone was enough for me to decide not to come here. **THEY ARE SCAMMING PATIENTS**…read more If I could give this office negative stars I would and I am reporting them to the attorney general as well as the nyc office of medical misconduct. This is not about the dentist as she is lovely but her staff is taking advantage and lying to patients and I'm Not sure if she knows! The front office is in on it and lied and pretended to put me on the phone with the dentist after I asked to speak with a manager to which they said the dentist would call me back but it was the dental hygienist who I was forming my complaint about. The staff/ hygienist is insisting on "deep cleans" as opposed to the normal check up cleaning! The hygienist is only performing the normal cleaning and trying to charge patients for a deep clean which is an invasive procedure that is diagnosed by the dentist NOT THE HYGIENIST!! If you are unsure of what a deep clean is let me explain - is it a procedure where they clean under your gum lines and use local anesthetic and you have multiple appointments to stop gum disease. It is very painful and has weeks of recovery - not 1 day with swishing your mouth with salt water.... My "deep clean" that i stated I didn't want was barely a normal cleaning. I planned on saying something to the office manager when i went to the counter as well however, they then bully you at the front desk. What appalls me the most is that they are clearly taking advantage of people who may have no knowledge or possible language barriers. I gave them a shot as a new patient because of new insurance and the reviews of the place seemed fine - ok office manager may be a a B - whatever. The dentist is good. She was super friendly but her STAFF IS TAKING ADVANTAGE Of people! DO NOT PAY THEM! DO NOT AGREE TO A DEEP CLEAN BY THE HYGIENIST! INSIST ON SPEAKING WITH THE DENTIST! ONLY THE DENTIST CAN DIAGNOSE THIS AND THEN YOU WILL HAVE MULTIPLE APPOINTMENTS OF A NECESSARY EVIL. When I called to ask to speak with the manager she stated the dentist would call back. After waiting hours and making multiple call back and leaving messages with the answering service. I finally got a call back from "the dentist" however it wasn't... IT WAS THE HYGIENIST saying she was the dentist! I advised that I would be reporting them if they did not refund me the money that i was demanded to pay! She said she would talk to the "owner" as she was not and would speak with the hygienist. IF YOU ARE THE DENTIST READING THIS PLEASE CALL ME! Or I will come in and see you as your staff will not let me speak with you!
