Dr. Greenberg has the lightest hand ever. The root canal procedure was very quick. Under an hour must say. He used the best numbing solution ever. My other dentist used like huge syringes and gave me 5 shots to numb a molar for a filling. This was 10 days ago so I know the big difference. I would recommend his services to anyone who needs root canal. I just had one visit and will still need a few more treatments as I need two root canal procedures. The clinic was very clean. The staff gave me a good appointment schedule and i love their kindness when they took me in urgently as I was in pain. Dr Greenberg is amazing! I've been going to him for years. He had to deal with my teeth which were not in good condition for a root canal. it takes 10 minutes to do the root canal you come back two weeks later and he does it again for 10 minutes and you're done then you go to your doctor for the cap and you're fine. I appreciate his professionalism and the fact that he can do his job so efficiently and quickly no fooling around. I'm a registered nurse. I know he knows stuff. AMAZING is not even the word to describe my experience. my elderly mother booked an appointment with the most caring staff i have ever came across. They accommodated my mother and me with a time and day that worked for us with our crazy schedule. Upon arriving we were greeted very warm as if we were family. I came to Mitchell Greenberg for a root canal in March 2025. I am satisfied with his work. The office staff is friendly and efficient. I told them I have sensitive teeth and I will need strong painkilling measures. Dr. Greenberg provided the extra painkilling shots. and I appreciated that. The root canal process took two appointments. It is two weeks after the second appointment, and my tooth that received the treatment feels great. Do not go to this guy. My mom was referred to Greenberg by her regular dentist. Greenberg had to prepare her tooth for a crown and he completely ruined her tooth. Her regular dentist was visibly shaken and even mumbled "what did he do?" when he saw the work Greenberg did because he could no longer save the tooth with a crown. Meanwhile Greenberg quickly took $2,050 then shrugged and said "well dental work is not always guaranteed". How shameful. He is not a good dentist, do not take the chance with your teeth. read more

BAIT AND SWITCH PRICES!!!! Get everything in writing beforehand I owed $220 one week, and at the followup visit, they said it was $1358 that I owed. Before making the appointment, I gave them all insurance info so they could give me an accurate price. She said the insurance gave her this: the procedure was $1,000, insurance would pay 80%, my out of pocket was $220. I paid this exact amount at the first visit. Verbally said I was paid in full -- receipt in the mail. At the second visit, she said insurance made a "mistake," that I "really" owe $1,358 - out of the full price of $1,900. This time, they could give me a receipt in person. The insurance company has no record of her calling them the first time. The $220 was a made-up price to get me in the door. Pre Bait and Switch Dr. Greenberg was very pleasant and explained everything. The procedure was quick and pain free. After they had switched the price, he wouldn' say a word to me. read more

I had an appointment on 4/5/24 for a root canal. I sat down, they took X-rays, and told me it would take two visits to complete the root canal. He worked on my tooth and when he finished the assistant told me he killed the nerve. His next available appointment was 1 month later on 5/6/24. I was in nothing but pain since that visit. I expected discomfort for a few days, but it only got worse. Pain so bad I was taking pain meds around the clock. I couldn't even sleep. I called the office on 4/17 and explained my pain, the receptionist told me to come in the next day for a bite adjustment. I had to call out sick from work to go to the office. I sat down and explained how I'm in pain all the time. He shaved down the tooth and gave me antibiotics. *He should have shaved the tooth down before I left his office the first time, and sent me home with antibiotics to be prevent infection* He didn't use goggles to protect my eyes from the flying particles he shaved, and I had to ask the assistant for mouth wash to rinse my mouth and remove the shavings. Two days later 4/20/24, my pain didn't improve and part of my mouth was numb. I went to my general dentist in desperation to relieve the pain. He took an X-ray and told me the nerve was still there. He shaved the tooth down even more because he said it was still high. (Dr. Greenberg injected a medication to expand the canal so he could remove it easier in the second visit.) I went home and called the office emergency after hours number twice. I got a call back from Dr. Greenberg to come in Monday morning. I spent two weeks in agony, pain, and suffering. Instead of going back to Greenberg I went to another Dr to get it extracted for $1,395. I would be a fool to return to him a third time and expect things to go smoothly. I regret ever stepping into this office. I wouldn't recommend this Dr at all, not even to my worst enemy. 1/4 of my mouth is still numb today, I believe his work damaged my nerves. I have to start out by saying I am a horrible patient & suffer from severe anxiety during dentist visits. This was the best dental practice I have ever been to, the entire staff was very kind & helpful. Dr. Greenberg explained thoroughly what I needed done & the price of the entire procedure. I have to say Dr Greenberg is the most patient dentist I have ever been to. He along with his assistant Sattie kept me at ease as he re-treated my root canal (originally done at another dental practice). The procedure it's self was performed quickly, my anxiety took up more time then anything. I have to return for 2 root canals & could not imagine going anywhere else. I needed emergency Root Canal, Dr. Greenberg and his office staff were a God Send. The receptionist fit me into their schedule that day realizing the urgency of the situation. Dr. Greenberg did the first part of the procedure without any problems. As for the second part of the root canal, I wrote down the wrong time for the appointment I thought it was 12:30 instead of 12... I received a very friendly call at 12:15, where I was stuck in a massive Traffic Jam on the GCP. They were understanding, and I had the procedure done at 2pm. I was upset about being late, but when I got to the office they were so nice. I felt relieved. Dr. Greenberg does excellent work, he is experienced and professional. I highly recommend him. COVID-19 was disastrous in so many ways, including longer wait times for appointments. Ugh! After my biannual visit to the dentist was delayed, I finally made it into the chair. Worst news ever! This was my second root canal, but the first that required a consultation with a specialist like an endodontist. I saw my x-ray so I was definitely nervous. Dr. Greenberg was reassuring, calm, professional, and a singer. I was definitely reluctant to sign an empty insurance claim form, which was part of the intake process, and voiced my concern to the receptionist so I will be watching closely. The worst part about the entire visit was the needle to numb the area ahead of the procedure. I was in and out of the office in 30 minutes. I was shocked and pain-free. No more tooth sensitivity. Don't go to this dentist. You can see five stars and one stars in previous reviews. There isn't much median reviews. That means he asked other dentists/friends to write five stars reviews, and real customers wrote real one star reviews. My general dentist sent me to him. I wanted to re-treat my previous root canal. I had bad teeth because of my illness history. I know what the procedure of root canal is. I told him my gum has problem, but he didn't listen. He doesn't wanna spend time with a patient. He checked a previous root canal and he thought it's ok. Then, he pretended he finished retreatment. He gave me surtificial procedures. He gave me 2 times less than 5 mins treatment. Total time for treatment was less than 10 mins. I know root canal not gonna be finished in 10 mins. And, I am 100 positive my tooth and gum still has the problem. When I explained on the phone, he told me he's a professor and he's confident for his treatment. He said he did retreatment. (Also, he was kinda angry and not rational much. He told me "You can go another dentist. Have a good day!......)I'm wondering for what university he's teaching as a professor. I should avoid dentists got education from the university he's teaching for. Receptionist and assistant are nice good people. You feel comfortable there. They are helpful and try to be informative. But, his attitude is noooooooooooooo good at all!! He prob wanna just make money with least effort/time. Time is money. Gosh, I can't get another root canal on this tooth soon because I used my teeth insurance for the tooth.....can't get another treatment with another dentist soon. I see a few bad reviews here but I would consider them with a grain of salt. I have been a patient of Dr. Greenberg for well over a decade as I needed a few root canals over the years, and most recently, had two root canals done by Dr. Greenberg in June. I have always found him to be professional and exceptionally proficient at his job. I trust his assessment skills. He works quickly, efficiently and with great skill and although some patients might need a more gentle, slower-moving dentist, I have so much anxiety about going to the dentist, I appreciate that I am out of there as quickly as possible! The front desk explained all the costs in advance. I found 'Mary' at the front desk to be very helpful and very sweet and the office itself was clean, in a safe neighborhood and near subways and buses. One of the bad reviews said that all the 'good' reviews were written by Dr. Greenberg's friends and fellow dentists but I am not a friend nor a dentist. Just a satisfied, long-time patient. I would give 5 stars but they lose a star for making you pay the remaining balance due when the work is completed. I certainly understand this, it is reasonable, but was hoping I would be able to pay it out over time. I was referred to Dr. Greenberg from my oral surgeon - Kalman Oral Surgery & Implant Center. Dr. Greenberg carefully listened to my issues, asked me detailed questions and spoke to me that made me feel immediately at ease. Let's be honest, if you are seeing a specialist for your teeth, your a little on edge and more than likely in a great deal of pain. Dr. Greenberg re-treated a root canal that was performed by my general dentist. It had become severely infected and my dentist told me that I was not only going to lose the tooth, I was going to lose the adjacent teeth as well due to the severity of the infection. This was simply not the case and Dr. Greenberg was cautiously optimistic and retreated the root canal. The procedure was pain-free, stress free and efficient. I could not be happier with Dr. Greenberg and he exceeded my expectations. I went here for consultation and see if I need root canal on one of my teeth that my general dentist suggested to have the root canal done. I explained the reason for my visit; they never asked me for referral from my dentist or tooth number, and guess what? After being in lots of pain after the root canal was done, I found out, they did the root canal on another tooth not the one I needed the root canal done. This place is hell. DO NOT GO THERE. Save your time and money and go elsewhere. I am still in pain and very angry that got the root canal on a tooth with filling, but totally fine. I am beyond mad. Nobody ever wants an endodontist, but if you need a root canal, this is the doctor you want! Doctor and staff are very professional, accommodating and very accessible. Open 5 days a week, the office is located on the first floor of a prewar building across the street from the E/F train. Street parking is scarce but there is a garage across the street, costs about $10 dollars. Once Dr. Greenberg determines that you actually need a root canal, he will get right to work. Before you know it, your mouth will be numb, you will be fully reclined, your problem tooth will be isolated with some kind of dental contraption and you will be on the road to recovery. Pain is minimal as he numbs you up well. My mouth was sore the next couple a days but nothing compared to the excruciating pain I felt before treatment. Procedure takes two visit. Be on time or call in advance if you are going to be late. 24 hours cancellation policy applies. read more

This doctor is not professional at all. All he cares about is your money. I had an infection in one of my root canals and went to him to get retreatment. After paying him $ 2,050 I got the infection back in less than three weeks after the treatment. I reached back to him and he prescribed me some antibiotics which only reduced the swelling a little and did nothing to the infection. When I went back to his clinic to check the root canals again he just wanted to get rid of me by lying and telling me that everything was fine. When I went to another dentist they told me that the filling that this doctor did was not good at all and that of course the infection was still there. I hated the fact that this doctor was not transparent at all and that he did a very poor job. I regret getting treatment at his office. So disappointed. read more

Fantastic experience.. Yes, we're talking about a root canal, here. I seriously would rather have a root canal done here, than have a deep cleaning at my normal dental office. Why? Because it was fast and painless. (It will most likely take two separate visits, however..) First off, Corey, in particular, at the front desk was extremely friendly, and genuinely concerned about my situation. She made me feel very comfortable, and is truly an asset to this dental practice. The other dental assistants, also, of equal value to this practice, were sure to greet me with a smile, and made me feel very at ease as they seated me in the chair of their modern, clean examination rooms. Next, as I meet Dr. Greenberg for the first time, he greeted me with a firm, assuring handshake, and got right down to business, as he explained my situation, and what it was going to require. He numbed me up real good, and I watched some TV and chatted with the assistant for a few minutes, waiting for the Novocain to kick in. Then we began. Throughout the amazingly painless, and very quick procedure, he was sure to ask me if I was ok, or in any discomfort. And then it was over. Just like that. And just the way it should be. I do suffer from a little bit of anxiety.. at times, but I didn't feel any of that during my procedure! I attribute that to the speed and accuracy, and the way the procedure kept moving along without any uncomfortable long pauses, which often create unnecessary worry when I am in a dental chair. Totally professional and quick. And my tooth feels great, now! The office is located in a very nice looking building, close to transportation. But be warned, parking is absolutely horrible in this area. Actually, it's horrible in all of Kew Gardens, so save yourself a headache. Get an Uber car there.. Or take the subway, or LIRR, all in close walking distance. By the way, they accepted my very mediocre insurance, and had a very fair and reasonable co-pay, compared to the prices I checked around at other practices before deciding on Dr. Greenberg. One star are too many for this "Endodontist". SAVE YOUR TOOTH AND DONT EVER GO TO DR GREENBERG OFFICE.  I was referred to Greenberg by my regular dentist.  Greenberg had to perform a root canal on a molar tooth. Instead, he ruined my tooth, after he was done with the procedure he sent me home with a broken tooth barely held with a filling which fell off and left me with a small piece of the original tooth. I called and asked for an emergency appt which it was given for 3 days later. He saw me for barely a minute or two and he told me to go to my regular dentist to fix the tooth and took NO responsibility for his wrong doing. During my root canal visit He was NOT pleasant and he did not discuss the procedure before he started his work. Instead of answering my questions he said "I know what I do" and ,he just had me open my mouth and began to work without any explanation or bed side manner. Then he abruptly left the room without saying a word or giving any post-instructions ,and not allowing any questions to be asked My regular dentist was visibly shaken and even asked " did he leave you any tooth?" when he saw the work Greenberg did. To save the tooth I had to get a post, a filling and a crown.   Worst traumatic experience ever! I wished I had checked reviews here before I had gone to his office. . I was referred to Dr. Greenberg by my dentist because I needed a root canal and apparently my dentist doesn't do that part (this was the first root canal I have ever had). In retrospect, I'm very very glad my dentist sent me here and didn't do the root canal herself. The pros: The office takes my union insurance, the desk staff was friendly and helpful in person and on the phone, they called the following day to ask how I was feeling (though my answer didn't matter..."try tylenol..." ), he seemed very experienced, and appeared efficient at it (either that or he couldn't stand me and wanted me out of there asap). The cons: He is very difficult to talk to and express your concerns to. He interrupted me as I was trying to tell him about my chronic facial pain and ask how I could minimize the pain the second time around after severe pain after the first appointment. My pain likely had nothing to do with his skills, but I'm not sure he read the dozen pages I filled out about my history of facial pain, tmj, and chronic migraine that often manifests in my jaws... If I were a dentist/endodontist, that could be helpful information I would think. So if you have crappy insurance and don't mind a doctor who won't listen to you and don't have particular issues you'd like the doctor to know, I'm assuming it's as fine as any other place. A while back I was referred to this endodontist by my regular dentist. It was the worst root canal procedure I've ever experienced. I've had my share of root canals in the past but none as painful as this one that was performed on me by this so-called specialist. He did not work on me in a gentle manner the way one would think a doctor would work on a patient who was experiencing so much pain. Even with multiple injections of Novocaine he managed to hurt me so bad I had to literally grab his hand to stop him from continuing. He didn't seem to be bothered with how much pain he was causing me. I had a root canal several years ago with Dr Greenberg. It was painless and this was the only time the novacaine wore off in 30 minutes. He didnt have to shoot me up with enough to desenitize an elephsnt as most dentist do. He knew right where to hit, and say whatever you want but that comes from experience. I cannot recommend this endodontist. I had 4 visits and was referred to an endodontist because of a bad oral infection. He took X-rays and banged on my teeth in the infected area and performed a root canal on a sensitive tooth. I returned 3 times because of pain and was given 2 Rxs for painkillers and antibiotics (4 in total). On the final visit, I complained about a sensitive bottom tooth. Dr. Greenberg told me to buy Sensodyne toothpaste. I decided to go for a 2nd opinion. The new endodontist had a 360 degree X-ray machine and discovered that that bottom tooth was cracked and infected. It appears that Dr. Greenberg performed a root canal on the wrong tooth. You have to ask him what he did because he does not tell you. Dr. Greenberg likes to work very fast but makes hasty decisions. While working on my teeth - a situation where I could not talk - he harassed me with obnoxious religious and non-religious statements. I have no doubt that everything he did and said was intentionally done. read more

I had such a great experience. After going through excruciating pain I called for an emergency root canal and they luckily they were able to set me up with an appointment the following day, which was perfect. After a surprisingly short wait I got my root canal, which was also very fast and all the excruciating pain was finally gone. The root canals were done in two quick sessions and I'm feeling so much better. The front desk worker Corrie was really nice, fun, and very helpful, from getting an appointment for me the next day to informing me all of the benefits my insurance offers. I really appreciated how I was treated and the dental assistants were also very nice and made me feel really comfortable. Was referred to the endodontist to determine if a root canal needed a retreat. I couldn't have picked a worse day to come. Torrential rain. Obviously totally out of the doctor's control. So I showed up reasonably early. Thing is I waited over an hour to see this doctor and I was the first patient of the way - he arrived an hour late and did not even bother to apologize or even properly introduce himself when he walked in the exam room. That day was a work day and I still had to make it in from Queens to Manhattan for work. I would not recommend this dentist as he completely misdiagnosed me by telling me no retreat was necessary and suggested I see a periodontist that maybe it was my gums. I went to see a much younger perio who had to be the one to tell me that tooth 2 absolutely needs a retreat. read more

Dr Greenberg is really friendly and makes you feel calm and relaxed the whole time . He also knows european geography really well ! Customer service here along with treatment is irreplaceable can't thank Corey enough for going beyond the call of duty to ease my pain . I needed a root canal and I am not fond of dentist. I have to say they at mitchell Greenberg made the whole process fast and painless. On every visit I was taken in within minutes, the root canal process took three visits for me, it's usually done in two but I needed to go in between because I needed my tooth to be filed down as I had too much sensitivity which was causing pain. The actually root canal process was done in 5-10 munited on every visit. It was all painless. They receptionist and nurses were all very pleasant and friendly. I am giving the awful review with the hopesof helping steer others from making the same mistakes I made in allowingthis dentist to conduct my root canal. First and foremost,they force you to sign the paper with a very small print,and pay before the work will be started. Do not sign and do not pay before you receive good final results! The office is dingy and the TV is so loud it gave me a headache. This may help them serv in disorienting their patiens. TV is also onin his office while he is working on your teeth, which is unnerving. He is not very pleasant and will not discuss the problembefore he starts. Instead of unswering my questions,he just has me open my mouth and began to work without any explanation or bed side manner. Than he abrubtly leaves the room without saying goodby,and not allowing any questions to be asked. This dentist used too much novocaine on me so I did not initially feelthe burning of my lower lip,which after taking a weeks worth of using different meds got rid of painful blisters that had formed. I was unable to eat,and could only drink liqids with a straw. My tooth still hurts 1 months after the root canal which finally forced me to find another dentist. I was feeling shaky and weak to the point that I had to see a medical doctor and check my heartas well. He never asked if I have Mitral Valve problem and never offered me antibiotics which most dentists do in such case. I ffound out that information and much more only after it was too late.
