Went to establish care and get preventive services. They took several sets of Xrays. They warn in…read moreadvance they do this and it is NOT covered by insurance. A technician takes photos of teeth. Dentist does cursory look at teeth and recommends several thousands of dollars (or more) of dental surgery when one has no symptoms. Then they cannot provided needed, beneficial preventive cleanings for 6 months. Buyer beware. This practice is focused on doing more procedures which reimburse them better than prevention. It is a common theme from prior reviews which I wish I had read. Not being able to provide routine cleanings is NOT best practice!

Told Dr Martin and staff that I 'enjoy' caring for my teeth with their help, and it has always been excellent. Sometimes get appointments through cancellations, or as soon as they can work me in. Added my experience is that of my wife. She does not find it easy to go to dentist, never will enjoy it. Has MaineCare. She has been going for about 2+ years now, and they have cared for her very well, even with some extra challenges with painless dental options. Office staff has always taken care of existing appointments, future appointments in a timely way, and cost is always known upfront.

I said "no". I said i need a root canal appt i have a second abscess and am in a lot of intense tooth pain. She got mad and said we're talking about cleaning appointments! I got mad back and said well I'm calling about a root canal appt! Kim hung up on me. That's my experience as a returning client. Very unprofessional.
