Uncaring, overpriced, overbilling, and rude front office staff. You have choices, choose to go somewhere else.

If you value your teeth, avoid Dr. Z. I needed a new dentist and his office was close to mine, and…read moreI was able to visit on my lunch break. I wish there were reviews that I could have read before hand, because just about everything he did to my mouth turned painful. At my initial checkup he said I needed a crown. I had been told that for a long time by many dentists about a particular tooth, but it never bothered me so I ignored it. This time he said that the x-ray showed decay, and it was only a matter of time before it would start causing trouble. I was facing losing my dental insurance soon after so I said okay. I had problems with it as soon as it was set. I went back five times to have it shaved down repeatedly, but the pain persisted. In the end I went to another dentist to see what was wrong. He took an x-ray and said that the crown was not seated properly, and was a millimeter above my gum line, exposing the inside of my tooth. I called to get another appointment and the usually friendly receptionist's demeanor changed immediately. She argued that dentists vary in their opinions and Dr. Z does good work. I finally got another appointment and I got a bit of push back at first (everyone was very cold to me). While we were waiting for the x-ray taken by the other dentist, Dr. Z probed under the crown and I jumped sky-high. Incredibly, he said that in all his years as a dentist, he had never seen a tooth shift like that, displacing a crown!! What!?! I'm no fan of dental work, and I had to have the crown removed and replaced. The new temporary crown didn't fit and it kept dislodging while I ate (even though I only chewed on the other side) and I kept chomping on it. The whole ordeal was a nightmare. The tooth still hurts (remember - it never bothered me before I went to see him), and I need to see another dentist to (hopefully) fix it. I can no longer chew on that side. He also made a mess of a front tooth I asked him to smooth out because of a chip in the back. Save yourself some pain - go to another dentist.

Peggy and Shelly who helped get me in a timely manner. Peggy was very hands on in scheduling. Christine with x-rays, Trisha my hygienist and of course Dr. Poirier himself who has done an excellent job with me ever since I was a kid. Most people do not care to go to the dental office, but this team makes you feel comfortable and right at home. Thanks again, Dr. Poirier and team!

I've been a patient of this practice since 2013. I absolutely love the doctors, hygienists, and…read morestaff members there. Everyone is committed to making sure your teeth are going to be as healthy as possible, that there will not, I repeat NOT, be any pain or discomfort associated with ANY procedure*. I see Dr. Anna O'Keefe, who is always cheerful, delightful and has a marvelous sense of humor. There have been times I've come in with an emergency, and they've squished me in the same day. The fees are very reasonable and they accept a variety of insurance plans. Theirs is an incredibly modern and up-to-date office with the latest in all things dental - of course there are the digital x-rays including the panoramic films, and this amazing "instant tooth creation" lab thing that is in-house - I am doing a very poor job of explaining it. What took days and days in the past now takes about 30 minutes. The feature I like the most and get the most out of is the treatment plan. Both on a piece of paper, and on their computer screen (so the actual tooth's images can be viewed) you can see precisely what's going on with your teeth. Dr. O'Keefe identified what the triage, or urgency factors were in "fixing up" my oral health. Additionally, she tied it to a financial plan, so I could budget out what each stage of the treatment would cost. And EVERYTHING is explained in simple to understand language. As a former "abuser" of drinking soda pop, (24/7!), I only received positive encouragement from Dr. O'Keefe to discontinue drinking sugary drinks. (It was literally ravaging and destroying my teeth.) Instead of shaming me or trying to make me feel guilty, she simply encouraged me, gave me suggestions for healthy alternatives and offered support. Now I can still have an occasional soda pop, but I know "how" to drink it, and it's only once in a while. *I have the most incredibly sensitive teeth. Typically when moving to a new town, getting a new dentist and explaining please give me extra numbing medicine, I'm discounted as simply being a fraidy-cat. Then I get under-medicated and I scream with pain. Dr. O'Keefe carefully LISTENED to me, and acted upon what I told her, and from the git-go, administered the correct amount of pain medicine to prevent any discomfort, but not so much that my mouth was a numb, drooling mess for 12 hours. Additionally - this is the REALLY good part - even the hygienists can numb you up for your cleaning! For over 40 years, I've just endured the horrible pain of getting my teeth cleaned. Well, pain no more! Here they are more than happy to provide topical numbing agents for your teeth cleaning. What a wonderful difference! So: 1.) No, I am not related to anyone who works at this dental practice. 2.) No, I am not an employee at this place. 3.) No, I am not getting any form of compensation for writing this review. 4.) The only reason I am writing this is because good, honest, hard-working professionals deserve good reviews. It's kind of like 'passing it forward.' A social, moral obligation we have towards one another. :-)

Dr. Flaherty is an expert at building a crown and wisely uses technology to view tooth & gum issues. It's weird to feel 'joy' about dental work but this crown was built, adjusted, and set perfectly, and the whole team made me feel welcomed and confident in choosing this practice. My hygienist is always friendly, knowledgeable, professional and makes me feel 100% at ease. I love that they take blood pressure because, for some, access to that simple screening wouldn't happen anywhere else. Staff are warm and friendly, the space is sunny and clean with free WiFi! (Bonus). Get there early and take the super comfy chair in the sunny corner where you can watch the world go by or endlessly scroll on your phone thanks to the high speed connection. The dentist and hygienist will always explain everything to you. You won't have any unnecessary procedures, and you'll walk away with oral health swag every time. I recently shared with the dentist that my confidence in my smile has increased a million fold since they fixed a chip in my front tooth. She was so moved to hear it. Top notch staff, clean safe pleasant environment, plenty of parking, ADA accessible. They accept new patients. I am proudly adding a pic of a smile I haven't seen in years.
