He took X-rays and spent a significant amount of time thoroughly testing to find the true cause of my pain. He determined that the issue was nerve-related, not dental, and told me that a root canal or surgery would not help. Instead, he advised me to see a neurologist. Thanks to his recommendation, I was quickly diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia and, because it was caught early, now have a strong treatment plan. It is rare to find a provider who prioritizes doing what is right over performing unnecessary procedures. I am deeply grateful for his professionalism, honesty, and care.

The doctor saw me and was willing to fit me in that same day (an hour turn around time) to complete a root canal. The doctor has fabulous bedside manner. Very calm, caring and smart. She was clear to explain her reasoning of why I should do one option over the other. The office staff was extremely friendly as well. I had never been there before but felt like I had been a patient for years. Very clean, pleasant facility. I highly recommend this office.

I explained Dr. Kell even for a simple cleaning my dentist numbs my mouth. I would need that because my gums and teeth on the opposite side of where the work is being done would experience discomfort when dry and even cold air causes pain. At no point did she say no. I showed up for my second appointment to have the procedure done and she refused to numb both sides. She wasted my time, her time, and showed poor professionalism and patient care by not being honest on my first visit. If she knew she wasn't going to com

It was looking pretty bad; there was a chance that I would lose that tooth. The decision for a root canal is always complicated; if you can save the tooth, it can be well worth the $1200 + the cost of a crown on top of that, if it turns out that you can't, it becomes a complete waste of money. Dr. Kell gave me the sense that she was extremely competent and knew what she was doing, so I bit the bullet and went for the root canal. She was able to save the tooth, and the entire process wasn't *too* painful (I only had to take a couple of ibuprofen once... about four hours after the procedure when my jaw became very sore). I am eternally grateful to Dr. Kell (as well as to Two Rivers Family Dentistry for the crown afterwards)!

Last month I visited Dr. Tammy Cook for the 1st time and I've thought long and hard and finally…read moredecided to leave a review. I'm 51 years old and moved to Bath just over a year ago after vacationing here for twenty-five years. I haven't had a cavity since the 4th grade maybe because I get my teeth cleaned and brush. My daughter went to Dr. Cook and was happy so being due for a cleaning I scheduled an appointment. The office is just off Washington Street with lots of parking. The lobby is very nice and folks seem happy, professional and polite. Because I haven't had any dental issues as an adult I asked if we could skip the initial x-rays or if they could contact my previous dentist an obtain my digital records. To their credit they did contact my previous dentist and my x-rays were a few years old (even if you have perfect teeth you should get x-rays done at least every three years) so I begrudgingly agreed to redo them. The procedure took roughly 30 minutes, was uncomfortable and it seemed like every tooth was imaged individually. During my cleaning Dr. Cook popped in for a few minutes, said I didn't have any cavities, some old fillings would likely need work and I would need a two appointment cleaning and left. I asked the wonderful hygienist (she is also a private pilot and we connected over the common love of flying) if she would finished up assuming I wasn't coming back in a week. At the reception desk I made an appointment for the following year and said I wasn't coming back for the additional cleaning. A week later I got a form letter saying that "we were not a good match" and telling me to find another dentist. WTH? My hygienist was awesome and I had just spent $390 bucks to get an initial exam and cleaning but I wasn't welcome back? Having a form letter, seemingly ready to go and unleashed after meeting someone for three minutes didn't seem right. In my line of work I too have easy, difficult, profitable and non-profitable clients. I don't get to pick and choose "for whom I bake a cake for." My hope is Dr. Cook will read this and change her mind and see me again or at least tell me what I did wrong.
