As more of my friends have crossed this age milestone, I've seen the full spectrum of responses: people who downplay it and later wish they'd done something special, people who throw huge parties and regret the stress and effort, and people who choose extreme adventures only to find the adrenaline crash leaves them feeling depleted afterward, bringing '50' home in a hard way. This struck exactly the right balance. It was special enough to feel like a true celebration, offered a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and created memories (and amazing photos) I'll carry with me for years. While it's certainly not inexpensive, once you see the amount of equipment, preparation, effort, infrastructure, expertise, and care that goes into each flight, the pricing feels more than reasonable. It's a significant experience without being financially out of reach. If you're looking for a memorable way to celebrate a milestone event--or simply want an extraordinary experience--I highly recommend it.

We really wanted to do a sunset flight with Seattle Ballooning last year (Aug. 2025) for our 10 year anniversary, but our flight got cancelled on our way there due to high winds, which was quite the disappointment since it was on our anniversary but understandable for safety. We rescheduled for a few days later, made it out to the launching point for the rescheduled flight only to have it also cancelled... again due to wind. We were told we could reschedule again, but we decided to let Seattle Ballooning hold our tickets until the following summer (2026) so we could do a surprise sunrise flight (since we were told sunrise flights are much less likely to get cancelled) for our son's 10th birthday, which is also in August. And even though there wasn't a cloud in the sky and was a perfectly sunny day on Aug. 20th, we got cancelled on again for the 3rd time... due to fog (even though there was no fog and fog doesn't usually start in western WA until the fall). Needless to say, it's been a very disappointing experience all 3 times, especially since we keep seeing posts about all the flights happening and how now is the perfect time to schedule. While it has been a disappointing experience 2 summers in a row and was also quite the long process to get our money refunded, I can say that the balloon pilots we got to meet last year prior to our 2nd flight getting cancelled were very nice, and the office staff have been friendly. I just wish we could have actually gotten to fly since all the posts I've seen have looked so nice. So if you do book with this company, please be prepared to be cancelled on and maybe have a back-up plan if you're trying to celebrate a special occasion.

This is after a really crap experience shopping yesterday, where I spent hundreds of dollars and was negged to the point I asked my husband "Do they hate me?" And all he could say was "I don't know. I think they are just b*tches." I may be overwhelmed, but never once am I rude. It takes about a second grade level to decipher the difference. Day in and day out, I am spending time just making everyone else around me happy for the holidays. I don't know where this sh*t comes from. I have not experienced such female venom in my entire life, and I speak as the party girl who went home with your boyfriend back in the 90s. Now I am a mommy. And I am raising girls to be bada!!es in a world where their civil rights hang in the balance. Why the actual F am spending a good chunk of change where they treat me like a nuisance? Furthermore, by a specific demographic of women who are better off than say many others in our country.() I do my due diligence in this community. I vote, am active in the union, and speak to legislators about improving our schools. I am also nursing my senior RESCUE dog of 15 years to certain death. Like... what is your problem? What the F did I do to you? Why am I justifying the need for basic human respect when you are in a service position? I don't need you to kiss my , but how about you don't meet my questions with a stone cold glare when my children are learning how to socialize with adults? I asked for help from a nice male customer to avoid Mean Girl Mentality. He offered to help on the section where someone has to man the ropes. I told him the girl in front is so rude and cold, I am not comfortable asking her for anything. He offered to do it for us. Perhaps a white man can solicite a more appropriate customer service attitude than a mom who is raising two liberal girls who want to get comfortable with extreme sports ... (Newsflash, she was nicer to him). I will tell you what, I am sick and tired of young women treating me like sh*t. And I don't know why but I certainly won't spend this amount of money where customer service makes it a point to make me feel unwelcome. I will go to Tacoma and save myself the horrible social interaction. I am done with Cirque. (Post script, there was a nice woman my age who helped us return our stuff. That is the human interaction I understand and appreciate. However, I will not return with the current staff in place.)

I found it to be a great deal. Miles showed up around and taught us a lot! He was very knowledgeable and patient. Everything is in very good shape. We got to try bouldering, auto belay, and top roping. Also got a tour of their gym, which includes a lot of climbing-specific equipment along with tradition gym equipment. The place is very spacious but there did seem to be a lot of families on the weekend, so a little crowded near the auto belay. Not a knock, just something to be aware of when timing your visits. They have a lot of events and theme nights too. It's just a really cool place, hoping I can build some muscles so I'm not so sore next time, and can come back soon!

They were pretty good and entertaining. We ordered the Nachos, which is quite possibly the largest serving of nachos I've ever seen, they filled an entire large pizza pan, piled high with every topping imaginable including both queso and cheddar cheese with lots of meat. We defeated them however. Our server was very friendly and we enjoyed the music while eating and watching people bowl through the windows looking at at the bowling area. After eating we headed over to go bowl. The alley itself is huge. It has that old 1970's vibe that many older bowling alleys still possess. I suppose it could use a little updating in that regard, but at the same time it gives off a feeling of nostalgia. There was a wide variety of music playing from the jukebox which can be used via an app on your phone. There's also a snack bar in the bowling area where you can order from the restaurant / bar. The bowling computers were up to date, and the lanes were clean with plenty of seating. There were also a sufficient amount of courtesy balls to use. (I need to have my own ball re-drilled) The guests around us were also friendly and fun. It is a very social environment but not rowdy or unruly. The bowling area also has lots of arcade games and other fun things to play. It's a very fun place to spend a free Saturday evening, but be sure to leave some extra time as there may be a wait for a lane if they're busy. One little tidbit of advice / criticism... the bowling shoes are mostly badly worn and the pair I had kept sticking so I couldn't slide my feet properly when throwing the ball. It nearly caused me to stumble multiple times. Also... most of the shoes cover multiple sizes meaning they weren't an exact fit which also didn't help. New shoes please? Also... a moonlight bowling or blacklight bowling night is a must... get one!
