There was many replies but one stuck out. Mike's Automotive. When I called the shop, Mike answered immediately. He told me to drop my car off and leave my key in the box and he would take a look at it in the morning. When about 11am rolled around I got a return call from Mike. He told me that my oil pan was leaking due to it being over tightened, more then likely at my last oil change. I told him I went to Jiffy Lube and he said it's pretty uncommon but that he could fix it by welding in a new plug so it would save me some money. He has always been honest, straight forward and has ways done an amazing job. He was the one who told me that he could fix that car later down the road when it was time to call it quits but that he wasnt going to lie to me. He said I would be better off getting another car. I listened to him and thanked him for being honest. I now have a 2016 Mazda CX-5 GT, which he just did work on with no real prior notice. On my way home on 11/18/2024, my Mazda went into "Limp Mode" on SB 69 heading home from work. I had my car towed to Mike's. I called him with it being almost 8pm and he answered with no hesitation. It was like greeting an old friend. He told me he would look at it in the morning but to call him again so he could write everything down. I did as he asked and he told me he would look at it and get me an estimate. Around 12pm, I recieved a call from Mike with a very straight forward and confident answer. He gave me the estimate and it was much less then I thought it would be as it felt like my cars engine had fallen out getting it to the side of the road to be towed. Mike worked with my schedule and even stayed late for me to make my payment. I am beyond thankful for Mike and will always have him as my mechanic even if I move from Martinsville. I would highly recommend him to any one of my friends and family.

It took about five minutes. Advance auto did a diagnostic test which showed the same diagnostic. They also did a vehicle check which I did ask for or authorize. They did't find anything else other then the original bank one sensor. They charge me $155.00 for a diagnostic that I had already received from another shop for free. They never mentioned the vehicle inspection or the charge for it until the vehicle was ready for pickup. Never again.

Beware, at least one vehicle here was downright dangerous to drive. I looked at a truck on their…read morelot and it was in a very unsafe condition. They let me drive it to have it inspected and just driving it on the road was sketchy. The pictures in the listing showed rust spots from under the truck, which I thought would be the worst spots. I was impressed that they'd shown them. But when we looked at it ourselves, it seemed the pics were meant to keep people from looking themselves...it had massive holes in the frame, the attachment where a rear shock was supposed to attach simply did not exist, it was completely rusted away. The components of the brakes were so rusty they flaked away when lightly touched. The differential's rust was so bad that a slight poke would likely cause the entire system to drain. There was a ratchet-strap holding the gas tank up. It was a complete mess. I felt unsafe even driving back to them. Selling a truck in that condition, and allowing people to drive it off their lot, is dangerous.
