I am sure they will make mistakes eventually, but they have been smart, honest, and they have done their best by me at every turn. If a problem can be fixed for cheap, that's what they advise. When work could be done under a recall by the dealership for free, they told me about it. They never treat me like an idiot and during the covid crisis they bent over backwards to keep me and my family safe. That buys a lot of loyalty from me. I've taken my '98 Porsche here for service twice now...and they've been GREAT!!! This time tho...I was told by a DOMESTIC automotive repair place, that I have a brake line leak issue. So I take it to WWA to get it fixed. They said that it's actually a power steering leak...and admitted that they are not familiar with this OLDER model and suggested that I take it to a Porsche dealership!!! But...what I'm saying is, that they DON'T want to just GUESS what is wrong and do trial and error!!! And I praise them for that!!! I feel that they could've just done "this and that" till the leak was stopped. And to my surprise, they didn't charge me for the diagnosis!!! They could have...I would have been pissed, but they could have just for the mechanics' time! These are honest people who aren't going to gauge you!!! read more

My 2014 Jetta sent an engine malfunction code so I took my car here. I like that they're a locally owned green facility. I was expecting the worst, a 7 year old German Diesel engine with 180k. When the call came, a service writer named Vince told me of his experience with my make, model, year, and mileage. It turns out that the enormous repair job would be covered under Volkswagen America's DieselGate agreement.. The only catch was, it would have to be performed by a VW dealer. Vince went to far as to make sure his research was accurate, provided me with the copies of VW's agreement in case the VW dealer tried to wiggle out, which they kind of did, but armed with Vince' research, I was able to guide the VW dealer how to proceed in replacing my entire fuel system free of charge. I wonder how many service writers would just take the job and my money rather than steer me clear of a huge repair? Fortunately, not Vince. I wasn't able to spend any money at WorldWideAutomotive this time, but I will use them moving forward, and recommend them highly! read more

I have used World Wide Auto since 2015 for different issues. My experience with World Wide Auto has always been extremely positive. I know I can trust them . They are honest and offer fair prices. They explain what needs to be done clearly and how much it will cost. They explain what repairs are priorities for safety and which can wait. The quality of the work and customer service are superb. The office staff is friendly, very professional and knowledgeable. The receipt clearly describes the work performed and the cost for each. They always stay in communication with me and let me know how things are going with car repairs. They sublet repairs for me that they do not specialize in, such as body work and muffler welding, saving me time and energy. The price for these repairs has also been great. Worldwide fixed my overheating truck and was extremely friendly in the process, even offering a free shuttle for pickup/drop off. They told me what they planned to do and got my approval to do it. The final cost was about $10 LESS than they quoted me and it was ready 2 days earlier than they projected. I suspect I could find a cheaper alternative if I was willing to risk less qualified and professional work. I have tried that in the past and sometimes won and sometimes lost. At worldwide I believe they do absolute first rate work and charge and fair price for it commensurate with the level of quality and detail. -- UPDATE: I went back to get my truck inspected and have any work done that would ensure it will run as long as possible. It's a 1999 Frontier I got in Florida with zero rust and only about 100K miles. I told them to inspect the brakes, the undercarriage, the bed from above and below, the engine, just anything they can think of that will help me make this thing last another 100k or 200k. And I asked them to call before doing any work. I got a call the work was done, which surprised me because they never called to let me know what they planned to do. When I went in to pick it up, all they had done was change the oil. That was a problem because I change the oil myself, using full synthetic oil. They did not. It's not good for a vehicle to use synthetic and then switch to a non-synthetic, but they assured me I would be okay because it's a partial synthetic. OK, but why no call and no comments on what they found when they looked over the truck to do proactive maintenance? I have no idea. I do know their typical customer has been excellent so maybe this was an aberration. -- UPDATE 2: Just went in for maintenance. There was an alarming sound that I thought could mean the engine was in danger, so I brought in because I suspected they really could identify it and would be honest about it. I think they did and were. The identified it as a problem belt and broke down the labor and parts on the phone. They mentioned elective work that could also be done proactively and I said yes to some and no to some. They gave me no grief and when I got the truck back it drove like it was new. -- The lady who works the desk is a real gem and will give you the friendliest and most professional service in the city. read more

Cost a working class family $9k because their mechanics can't be bothered to communicate properly. We've been taking our vehicles here for at least eight years. In other words, we have been loyal customers. World Wide documented low oil in our Subaru twice in three years, but never offered any solution or told us that we need to be checking the oil every 1,000 miles instead of every 5,000. The consequence of their poor communication is a new $9k engine in a vehicle that they last saw four months ago. Not once during that visit did they mention to us that our vehicle was burning oil so quickly that the engine could go bad. They have hurt our family's well being beyond comprehension and we will never forgive them for what they have done to us. read more

I went to them because they are ASE-certified. I paid them $85 for a thorough mechanical review of my vehicle. They didn't tell me that my radiator coolant was low; they didn't comment on the slight whistling noise from my motor; they didn't tell me that the left front brake caliper was partly frozen up and needed to be replaced, but that the right one was still OK. They offered to charge me $800 for a complete front and rear brake job. I was probably (hopefully) mistaken, but in a face-to-face interaction with the owner of the place, I got the feeling that he didn't want my car in the same parking lot with the BMWs and other expensive cars parked out front. So, OK, I went to Firestone for the brakes a week later. They noticed these other things, and also did the brakes -- just the parts that actually *needed* to be done -- for under $400 with coupons. read more

I had a problem processing my payment because of their debit machine, but after recognizing the issue Shelley rectified the issue immediately. The mechanic working on my car communicated with me regularly and was very knowledgeable. This was the first time my BMW was in the shop so I was terrified! The price was very fair in my opinion. Left my car for repairs, was told would be done by the afternoon. I call at 4:30 since they close at 5. No answer. 10 minutes later a I get a call back...they don't have the right part and my car won't be ready until 11 the next morning. Great...I now have no way to get home from work, and I am supposed to be in Indianapolis for a work commitment at 9 a.m. the next day. It would have been nice if someone had called to tell me there was an issue with the parts so I could make other arrangements, or pick up my car and have it serviced another time. Poor customer service like that definitely will not bring me back. read more

My BMW is now out of warranty and as it ages, things are starting to need to be replaced. Don, the owner, is very honest. I've found that their prices are higher than average in Bloomington, but you get what you pay for. Every repair or replacement has been done right the first time. Plus they tell you things that are in need of attention to save you money in the long run. ive tried to use this place over the past 15 years. this last time I was told that my engine needed replaced with a used one for 6,400.00. took the car about 2 miles away and got my car fixed for $440.00 because it only needed one injector replaced and a new battery. Six months later, my car is still running and i saved $6,000.00. World Wide is a beautiful operation with talented technicians so I cant understand why this happened. read more
