I was in need of RV supplies and did a search on Yelp and found this place not far from where I was camping in Fairview Riverside State Park. There is plenty of parking in their private lot both for vehicles and those towing anything. Inside the front door is not a sales area but you step directly into the parts and supplies store. They have pretty much everything you could think of and anything you could possibly need. It was well stocked and much more inventory and stock than my store back home that tends to be out stock on certain essential things. Not so here; the shelves and racks were full. I was able to pickup everything on my list and then some. I've always wanted an extra 30 amp power cord since one time I couldn't get close enough in an older state park. Steve's had a 25 ft cord that suited me fine. It was ten dollars more than ordering it online but there would be added shipping charges so I'm a happy camper. I'm bookmarking this place for next time because my daughter plans on moving back to her home state and I plan to visit yearly. read more

While traveling the studs holding one of the wheels on my fifth wheel travel trailer broke off, I lost a wheel. Steve's was able to make all the repairs necessary to get me back on the road. While I was there I met many of the employees and the owner, who is very hands on. I can't say enough good things about the way I was treated and how the repairs went. read more

We bought our RV from Steve's RV center over six years ago and continue to do business with them when we need maintenance or repairs. They are located over 40 miles away from our home, but their customer response and honesty in dealing with their clients cannot be beat. A family owned/run business, you will find the owners their daily. Any issues with service are dealt with by the owners directly. They've been doing this a long time, and from my personal experience with them I can understand why. Went to trade our 2020 Jayco Talon toy hauler in for a bigger camper. The unit we were looking at was $60k. The unit we have we were grossly offered $37k AFTER we were asked how much we owed and declined to answer. So my husband asked the sales person, so if I bought your $60k unit and a year later wanted to trade it back to you, you would only give me $30k for it. He said "yea, probably so". Then my husband said well thank you but we not buying it. Salesman said "well we are not going to pay for your mistake". They have no idea how much we owe or what trade in value is because our unit is to new for book value yet so he grabbed a number so low thinking we would bite at it I guess. Owner immediately started talking trash about his competitor in Hammond Dixie. I should have known that was a red flag. I do not recommend this place based on the lack of professionalism and customer courtesy. read more

I purchased a Outback Travel Trailer from Steve's RV in 2016 new. While camping in GulfShores this past weekend the display for the in-command stopped working, I called Steve, Megan , David, Shawn and even Steve worked with me over the phone. The display would not come on so they informed me of a work around and ordered a new display. The new display arrived in only 3 business days at NO COST TO ME ! My wife and I just purchased a new 5W from Steve's RV. We looked at 2 other local dealerships, one of which we had purchased a previous RV. While bringing our current 5W for repair, I met a current Steve's customer who swore Steve had the best repair shop locally. Then I met another person who highly recommended Steve's RV. We visited several times before choosing a new RV & trading in our old one. There was never any high pressure to purchase, just a lot of help and many questions answered. The entire experience was great from the point of choosing an RV, ordering a new one to picking it up and getting in serviced on how to properly use our RV. I've had campers for 15 years and this is by far the best service center I have ever encountered. They tell me what they're going to do and then they actually do it in the timeframe they said they do it in. They work Jayco warranty in a championship fashion, and my next camper will be bought from them. Although this is a small business, it is an amazing source of information, RV parts and service! We had been having issues with our 9 yr old Dometic AC. The AC stopped working; yet the fan would work on "Fan" setting only. Dometic suggested we change the control board and thermostat. We had already replaced those components less than a year ago. Upon talking to Steve on the phone, he asked if we had tried to reset the thermostat. What??? We had no idea that we could do such, nor did anybody else we had spoken to suggested such - not even Dometic. He walked us through the very simple thermostat reset process. BOOM! The AC came on! What a life-saver with May heat creeping upon us! What this tells me is that some company techs and mobile RV techs scurrying about are unnecessarily recommending unnecessary service and parts Thank you so very much, Steve, for being there to lend an ear, truly listen and then walk us through the necessary process! read more

My children and I were traveling across the U.S. on I-10 when we lost the roof air conditioning cover on our motorhome. We called every R.V. place in the New Orleans area without success. None of the businesses we contacted had a replacement cover. I contacted Coleman who manufactured our roof air unit and they identified my air conditioner model from a photo and recommended Steve's R.V. repair. I contacted Steve at Steve's R.V. via telephone and he said he had a replacement shroud in stock. We drove to Steve's R.V. and they had a new cover installed within an hour of our arrival. They also identified a broken part we did not know about. We had water leaking inside the roof air unit to the interior of the motorhome. Steve's people identified the problem and recommended an economical fix without me even mentioning the problem. I authorized the repair and have not had a leak since. My children have classwork they complete while we travel. Steve's had a very nice waiting area that my children could use the laptop in and I could watch fox news! Best group of people my husband and I have run across in our years of travels. While on our travel to San Antonio, TX to our grandson's AF graduation, our 5th wheel had a blowout. After getting back on the road, we ran across Steve's off I-12 and decided to pull in which was 10 minutes before they were to close. After looking at the damage and our tires, recommended we buy 4 new tires and replace a back plate. They stayed open to do the work, and it only took them an hour working together to get the job done and get us back on the road. Even helped us to find a place to camp for the night. Would caution you about doing business here. Highly unprofessional. Made an appointment 2 weeks prior for a convenient time I would be able to get to Lacombe. I was told my installation would take an hour. At the hour and a half mark I went to check on the vehicle surely it would be done or near done right? Wrong, They informed me then they didn't order the correct part. They did let me know if I would like to "wait 2 additional hours" on top of the 1.5 hours I already waited they could start the wiring process and I would need to go back when the part came in to have it installed. Any one can make an error but this was just blatant lack of common courtesy when they were obviously very aware they did not have the part. I was sitting in the waiting room spitting distance from the counter and no phone calls on my cell either. I let them know I would not be back. Not to mention my 45 minute ride to Lacombe and 45 minute ride back from Lacombe. They get a 0 for customer service. read more
