I have been blessed to have Steve's Towing as an excellect!, service provider through the 14 years I have lived on Lake Elsinore. I have needed Steve's and accessed them through AAA multiple times. I have NEVER been dissatisfied with the service, timely response and/or technician knowledge or care. Most recently I lost my key and the locksmith wanted $500 to help me and I felt him rude and unhelpful.n Fortunately, Gabriel with Steve's rescued me. Gabriel showed up in a VERY timely response time, especially for a holiday! My car and I were transported to my home where I was able to recover my xtra key. Gabriel was knowledgeable, caring (I'm a senior), and shared my options and his know to help me. I've been blessed to have Steve's help me on multiple occasions, including a freeway accident. I had an extremely disappointing experience with Steve's Towing, specifically with their front office staff. From the very beginning, we were treated with condescension, arrogance, and a complete lack of professionalism for absolutely no reason. The staff seemed irrationally upset that the vehicle they towed did not have full coverage insurance--as if that had any impact on them whatsoever. Instead of simply assisting us with releasing our vehicle, they chose to be rude and dismissive throughout the entire interaction. After multiple calls, we found a collision repair shop ourselves and provided Steve's Towing with the exact address to have the car transferred. Despite giving all necessary information for the repair shop, when we arrived in person, the situation only escalated. An older blonde woman at the front window told us that our "insurance company was rude" and that they were "done working with us." This made absolutely no sense, especially considering that they never needed to communicate with our insurance at any point--we were paying out of pocket. At no point did we ever behave in a rude, disrespectful, or inappropriate manner toward the staff. Despite this, they chose to treat us without the basic courtesy, dignity, and respect that all human beings deserve. What was most disturbing was the underlying, yet very noticeable, prejudice in how we were treated. It was completely unacceptable, uncalled for, and frankly abhorrent. No customer should ever be made to feel this way. I strongly advise anyone who cares about the moral and ethical behavior of the companies they do business with--not to give their business to Steve's Towing. read more

Over a month ago, we called for a tow through AAA. They dispatched Steve's Towing, and a tech named Seth showed up. I handed him my keys and explicitly told him not to start the vehicle, as it was being towed for engine work. Instead, he sat in the car for several minutes "fiddling around," then came back and said he couldn't get it into neutral. I walked out, told him to simply pull it up and shift it into gear. What happened next was honestly unbelievable. As he pulled the shifter up, it was immediately clear he had completely manhandled the shifter--he had literally pulled it out of its mechanism. Then, instead of stopping, he proceeded to rip out the entire shifter, shift boot, and surrounding assembly. Standing there in disbelief, he looks at me and says, "sorry, I'm new..." New to putting a car in neutral? About 20 minutes later, an older employee named Keith arrived. Not only could he not get the car into gear either, but he also started the vehicle after being explicitly told not to. At that point, the situation was already a mess. We ended up wasting the entire day waiting for another tow truck, eventually giving up and having to reschedule for the following day. We filed a claim with AAA the same day, submitted photo evidence, and within three days provided a repair quote from a trusted shop. Then came the real issue: silence. For nearly a month, there was zero communication. No inspection, no attempt to gather their own quote, no urgency--nothing. We ultimately had to send a certified demand letter just to get a response and avoid escalating this further legally. Only after that--over a month later--did they finally settle and issue a check for the damage. They refused, however, to compensate us for the excessive downtime their negligence caused, during which the vehicle was completely inoperable and repairs couldn't even begin due to their lack of response. Total damage exceeded $1,600. Unacceptable doesn't even begin to cover it. read more

The original estimated time was about 50 minutes but after a technician got the order, he got to my dad location within 10 minutes. Gabriel was incredible!! Our bmw battery died which left us literally with no power to even lock the doors or open the hatch to get to the battery. He was on time and did everything possible to jump the car, even getting enough power to open the hatch to reach the battery. Once he gained access to the battery he tried charging it and when that didn't work he pulled his truck around to lift it with specialized tow bars as the car is awd and we couldn't get it into neutral for a normal tow. It was nice that he could handle such a specialized tow, hooked the car up and even gave us a ride to the dealership to drop the car off. AAA sent him to us and covered the cost of the tow. 10 STARS FOR MOISES!!!! All right, so the question is what went well... well everything and nothing all at once! Let me just start off by saying that MOISES is a frickin GOAT!!!!!! My Audi has a snapped serpentine belt, and a few flat tires, and he still managed my car and getting it on to the bed of the tow truck with absolute and utmost care. My crazy neighbor across the street that lost damn near all her marbles kept on bothering him and he was even tolerable through that. Fast forward to getting to the mechanic shop where I needed. My car dropped off my dumb self put the key through the mail slot.... Before we put the car in neutral to drop it from the bed. Moises was able to get the key out, not only once but twice when the second time I locked my other vehicles key inside of my Audi within the same 10 minutes span of time. He was very patient with me in trying to figure out a way around my stupid issues, he did not get frustrated at all. He was very chill.. THANK YOU MOISES!!!! On another note, I was in a car accident on October 11, 2025, which resulted in having glass shattered all over me. That tow truck driver picked up my car and before I left the parking lot, used the air compressor to blow all of the shards of glass off of my skin and body. I work at a large body shop in huntington beach. I have been in the collision industry since 1982. I deal with a lot of tow truck companies and drivers on a daily basis. There is a small percentage of tow truck drivers like Gabriel. From the moment he stepped out of his truck, you can tell he loves to help people that unfortunately needs his service. He was super cool, knowledgeable, explained what needed to be done. In today's business environment, you can't find people like Gabriel. Try finding qualified candidates in the automotive industry, it's impossible. Maybe someday I will see a tow truck with the name that says Gabriel towing service on the door. We got a flat tire after we accidentally hit a curb and it slashed it. So we decided to go the easy way and just call AAA. So, they sent somebody from steves towing down to help us. His name was Ethan and he was very helpful. He got our flat tire changed out and even insisted that he put the slashed tire in our car even after we offered to put it in the car ourselves. He was also very informative on how to speed up the tire changing process. I HIGHLY Don't recommend buying a car battery from them. I had to call them to replace my battery many times less than a year. I always ended up getting the same guy to replace my car battery and I honestly believe he just gave me used batteries that were not working properly so he can just get rid of and make a profit off of them. I had to go to Auto Zone and they were more helpful and checked the last battery I bought from Steve's Towing and said the battery was no good. Gabriel and Mike at Steve's Towing were amazing! My Corvette broke down on an off-ramp and it had no power. When this happens, the car locks up and cannot be moved, so they couldn't use a flatbed. The guys were able to get the car in the air and put the front on dollies. Then they got the back in the air and connected to the truck in a manner that the car was level to prevent damage to the front. AAA uses this company i have delt with them many times. All of the drivers have been great however the women in the office was rude and gave misinformation. Requested a tow for a truck from Lake Elsinore to Murrieta. The guy showed up and told us he could not tow the car out of the garage. So my 78 yr old mom my 16 yr old daughter and myself ( I have a prosthetic leg pushed the car out of the Garage. Yo the driveway then he said he couldn't pick it up from the drive way. We pushed it halfway to the street and he said he couldn't pick both tow it. So he told us to call someone else. Think he wanted me to pick up the car and load it on his flat bed myself.
