I had to replace a 10ft section of gutter so I could add a rain chain. But it required an unusual…read moreextension, so it could empty over the garden, and away from the porch stairs, which required a strange unsupported L-shaped section to protrude from the wall. But rain chains are heavy and aluminum gutters are flexible, so when another installer attempted this, it drooped. Luckily I called Waterflow. They quoted an excellent price. His availability was 3 weeks out, but I didn't mind waiting. He stopped by a week before to show me color swatches and take measurements . When they came they installed it in under an hour. They easily figured out how to support the rain chain invisibly from within the gutter, using a metal strap that bound it to the roofline. It looks great! Note that if you are getting a quote through the Yelp app, he might be slow to respond during busy times. I had a few messages that he had read, but not replied to for a few days, but I kept pinging him, and he eventually replied. I'm glad I didn't move on to the next quote, it was worth it.

We chose to go with Supreme Seamless with David Lugo Smith. From the start, David was great with communication via text message and very accommodating. When he came to the house he clearly explained our options for styles of gutters and leaf screens, and how he would direct the water away from our foundation. This was a two-day project which involved removing the gutters one day, waiting several weeks while the house was painted, and installing the new gutters on a second day. It was complicated by the fact that the old gutters were installed under a layer of old concrete tile, that was under the terracotta tile. The old gutters had to be cut off to avoid damaging the tile roof. Some of the other gutter companies declined to do the removal. David and Team showed up on time each morning. They kept everything clean and tidy at the end of every shift. They had to navigate a tricky tile roofline. Throughout the two days, they demonstrated excellent attention to detail. I am a bit (a lot) of a perfectionist, almost to a fault - I was constantly inspecting the work, trying to find something to complain about. I couldn't find anything but diligent, professional, meticulous work from a friendly, polite, hard-working, and courteous crew. I can't say enough about the work they did. He also stated that providing customers with photos was not something the company normally does, even though I had specifically been promised regular photo updates. I then tried 2 more times and left messages without a response. I then gave up. About 2 weeks later, I received a call back and the man left me a message. He told me that he was just "too busy" to take on any more projects and recommended a fellow in the area to give me a customized quote. I called his recommendation and a man came out to give me a price. The guy was very nice, but way too customized, makes everything by hand, and not in the ballpark at all for pricing. His prices were about 2 time more than any other quote I had received. Unfortunately this ended up being a waste of my time. It would have been great to have the job done by a local company, but I ended up using a nice guy located in West Covina. Seems like Crescenta Rain gutters has a good problem of too much work, and not enough staff. On one hand, that is good, but the recommendation was pretty poor.
