I seriously cannot recommend Stewart Chiropractic enough. I've been going to them for years, and no matter what, I always end up coming back because I genuinely have never found another chiropractor that compares. I lived in Knoxville for four years and tried going to a different chiropractor while I was there, and it honestly just made me realize how good I had it at Stewart Chiropractic. I've been to several chiropractors over the years, and they are hands down the best I've ever been to. What I love most is that they actually take the time to figure out what is going on with you. They have machines and technology that actually show you what's wrong and help you understand what is happening with your body instead of just taking a basic X-ray, adjusting you, and sending you on your way. They explain everything and actually make you feel like they care about helping you and truly, every single person there is amazing. They are SO kind and caring, they remember you, they get to know you, and you can tell they genuinely care about the people who come in. I've never felt like I was just another patient to them. They also have discount programs that make care more affordable, which is another thing I really appreciate. After going here for years and trying several other chiropractors, I can confidently say there is a reason I always come back. I trust them, I feel comfortable there, and I always feel taken care of. Hello, I visited the office a couple weeks ago now. Stewart Chiropractic has a lot of great reviews and long term clients, but I find it interesting that if you change your settings to read the negative reviews how similiar they truly are and how I also feel about my experience. I think Dr. Sam is super nice and the staff seemed very nice, but honestly I think it's intentional to scam you. As well as using their Christian values to make you trust them. It was very gimmicky and I realized Dr. Sam used scare tactics on me. I think it's treated as care, but it's really a guide to taken advantage of people. Most reviews that I've read mention this "12 month program".. which is what I was also HIGHLY pressured into doing. 54 visits. 12 months. Over $2K. I'm afraid that there is some malpractice going on there and I hope that those people who receive this long term package deals don't end up having issues in the future from being overworked. I highly recommend trusting your gut. It is a MAJOR red flag for a chiropractor to immediately assume how many adjustments you'll need and press as hard as they can to get you to sign off on it immediately. Two more notes: I do not have insurance, but when I called and asked for the cost and what all I'd receive in my first visit it was $185, including the adjustment. Came back a few days later to review my results and there is no included adjustment even though I was told multiple times there would be. I lost a decent chunk of money for NOTHING and unfortunately now I have to wait until I have the extra money again to go see someone new and actually get an adjustment. Very scammy. Last but not least, VERY IMPORTANT, I called and spoke with Dr. Stewart and let him know that I wanted to pick up my medical records so I can take them to other doctors to get their opinion- I spoke very clearly multiple times letting him know that I wanted my full release of medical records after he was giving me pushback. I went to pick them up and was given a cd/dvd (?) that ONLY had my X-rays on it. Refusal to release my information which I suppose isn't surprising considering when I spoke with him about this he said he hadn't written down anything on my file, days later, which by the way is legal. You have to do this within 24 hour period. I trusted he would take the time to do so. How are you going to try to sell me on a $2K plus plan and not even have written notes to explain these fairly serious issues you're speaking of?!? It is MY BODY and I have every right to have the information he shared with me on hand. I recommend people with these types of experiences to file to the board. I have always been skeptical of Chiropractors but this office changed my mind. I had issues with my neck and lower back for years along with other things for beating up my body forever. I can turn my head more free and my body feels better overall. The staff is courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. The Dr's are caring to their patients fears and work with you to develop a plan. It's not like others who try to string you along. They develop a plan to get you out. You can tell from the smiles on the staff that the owners treat them well so that rubs off on the patients who walk in. I walk out with a smile every-time. read more

THIS IS A SCAM! I don't recommend this place whatsoever. I am an 18 yr old college student and don't have money laying around. It was weird when I went in there and they gave me a tour. I came to get adjusted and go home, why did they waste my time idk. My second visit was even worse, they gave an hr long lecture about stuff that wouldn't even be the cause of back pain. My second evaluation actually was worse on my scan. During that meeting the tech lady tried to hide the comparison scan against the first. That right there tells you something! I needed to pay for some expensive medical bills ( ER ) and I asked to cancel treatment. I told Dr Stewart that I was having financial issues and needed to pull out of this monthly cost of $185. We had a face to face and I was hoping he would release me from their program. He required me to write a $500 yes $500 credit card charge to "release" me from his business. You go into their office which plays Christian music and expect to be treated with mercy like Jesus would. I'm pretty sure Jesus would not take $500 away from my pocket book when I need money for urgent care medical bills. Dr Stewart was all about his business and money and not about the patient's real needs. Yes, I would put ER bills as a "real" as compared to chiropractor care. I wish I had refused to pay the $500. I was blindsided! I figured that if I wasn't seeing them anymore than I would not have to pay them that monthly $185 but I was wrong. (It was worse because they wanted half a grand!) I wish I had the courage to say I am not using your services so you will not be getting my money but I was really shocked. I guess you judge by the fruit and it was not Christian at all. It was all about business and ALL about money. Side note is their office is a well oiled machine. Every 10 minutes they see patients and I think they have 5 rooms. I'm pretty sure he didn't need MY $500. I do and still do today. I would not recommend them based on the way I was manipulated and treated the day I left. The bad fruit is there. They are incredible. Highly recommend bringing your whole family here, newborn if you have one! We brought our newborn in because he was having a hard time with latching, and we noticed his shoulders would scrunch up to his ears, had a very stiff neck after birth. I first found out about this game changing chiropractor experience after battling sustained injuries from my military service, and overseas deployments. I was trying to get away from strong pain meds that worked but without them I was a wreck and the problems that plagued me( some I didn't even realize til Stewart's evaluation) still were effecting my daily life to just tackle basic things. I just wanted to be done with the medications and not be dependent on them for functioning at baseline. I also was reluctant to see a chiropractor, after a bad experience seeing one in the military. My previous experience with one involved techniques that folded me up like a pretzel to achieve their version of care. The problem was after the said "twisted adjustment" something popped and I let out a involuntary short scream. Something was worse and wrong that made me lose trust in the practice for my first experience. My first visit with Stewart was rough for me because I was in pretty bad shape and pain and as mentioned I was refusing the strong pain meds given to me in order to stop the cycle, unfortunately for the innocent and polite staff upon my arrival for an evaluation, I just could not muster the patience to deal with anything other then "let's get you taken care of". I was rude, I lashed out from my discomfort and I did not handle things well. They could see this, and despite my sad state of affairs, they took me in and helped me understand what was going on after my evaluation and X-Rays were complete. I will say to be fair if any of the staff comes upon this review, My hopes with my feedback they are able to create a "fast lane" so to speak for those in need of immediate care like I was and bypass some of the informative information that can be easier to consume post adjustment. I think folks with cases like mine should be identified upon arrival to establish somewhat of a triage effect of severity and this is something everyone would benefit from I feel. Outside of that, after my first adjustment I felt great, so much so I walked out of there in tears of relief, I couldn't believe it, and had some of the best sleep I had had in a while! I've been going regularly now for about 5 years, not because I have to, but because the benefits I have experienced going regularly are nothing short of amazing. (I'm sure everyone's situation is unique and different in their own way). However regardless of the lower reviews you might find on here, understand this team truly will go above and beyond to help you if it is at all possible. They provide sound guidance and keep you informed of everything going on with your body that they can observe. Without twisting and contorting your body into pretzel like positions of discomfort. If these guys can't help you and you're honest about your issues and health, they will simply tell you if it is something they can or can't assist with. My quality of life has improved dramatically, and if my body gets into a bind, they are there happy to assist me and get me back in alignment and fully functioning again should I put too much wear and tear on my body. I hope my experience helps someone else who might be in a similar situation. I am very pleased with Stewart Chiropractic. My family and I have been going here for 4 or 5 months now. I will be honest I was a little skeptical of chiropractic care....but I am so for it now! I have seen an improvement in myself and more so an improvement in my baby. My newborn baby was having two specific issues and they both went away after seeing the chiropractor! It was amazing! The staff and doctors are all so friendly and personable! They treat you like family, which I love. They greet you by name, and really make you feel at home there. The atmosphere of the office is very warm and welcoming. They have a little children's area, which my two toddlers love and keeps them busy while we wait for our names to be called. Speaking of waiting, we never have to wait long, usually as soon as I sit down I'm being called back. I also really love all the information they have on chiropractic care and health in general. I also like the small things they have for their patients, like a water bottle station and organic lollipops for the kids! So thoughtful! I really love the music they play in the office too! They do make you do an introduction before beginning care which at first I was annoyed about because I didn't want to take time out of my day for that and I wasn't interested at the time. However, I actually appreciated the fact that they did it. I learned a lot and actually understood why seeing a chiropractor is so good for you! I honestly hate when doctors don't take the time to explain things to you. Like why your body is doing such and such and just give you medication and send you on your way. It's like they don't have time for you! But not at Stewart Chiropractor, they want you to understand why your body is in pain or the issues you are having and how getting adjustments can help! If you actually want chiropractic treatment definitely go elsewhere! This is such a gimmick scam, it's amazing they're still in business. It's a mill, it's all about high quantity. They initially reel you in by promise of a "free" initial consultation but you have to get a $75 x ray on an antique machine before that. The office is nice and they are friendly not to mention they play Christian music in there, so they are very disarming, but in the long run you're just treated like cattle. After we came back a 2nd time for a class to show you what good and bad spines look like, they take you back individually to share your bad news with you, that you'll require extended treatment. I was the only one in my group not taken back to a room immediately so I was still in waiting room staring at a wall because they were using a tv there for demonstration. I felt silly so I wanted to turn around and sit like everyone else while I waited but a girl at the desk said I couldn't do that and was told to remain facing the wall. I felt like I was in time out. Fast forward to my "extended treatments", so in typical mill fashion, they want you in the room laying face down on the bed before doc ever walks in. He walks from room to room and will spend a total of about 30-45 seconds on you per day, barely doing anything saying you need a series of small adjustments. I already know this is a scam, but I've paid so I gave it a full month just to see, absolutely no difference. For those of you reading these reviews, isn't it weird all reviews are either 5 star or 1 star? Where you think those 5 star reviews came from? I'd be very wary of believing those. I would not recommend this practice to anyone. I spent an entire hour being given a sales pitch and "evaluation" not by a chiropractor, and then told I would have to attend an additional "group introduction" before I would be given my "treatment plan" and be able to see the actual chiropractor... and it would be really good if I brought my husband. Never in my life has a doctor needed my husband to hear a sales pitch before I could get treatment. I was coming in for a very specific and time sensitive issue that did not require long term treatment. They mentioned God about a dozen times during the evaluation, and the office was blaring gospel music. Not sure what God has to do with chiropractic care but they sure wanted me to know that they were extremely religious. If this is to your liking then by all means go ahead, but I really think people should be forewarned. In the past, I have had several treatments at Stewart Chiropractic. It's very family friendly and has good hours. They use a specific model and it kind of feels like 'doc in a box' medicine so it wasn't the right fit for me. It may be for others. They have a streamlined process. At each treatment you badge in, a room is assigned and when your name is called you go to the room, scan your card, get shoes, coat off, get paper, lay paper on table, lay on table with face on paper, then when the doctor comes in, he looks at digital record (that your badge pulls up) and does about 3 adjustments with a small instrument. I did get some relief but not as much as I'd expect going 3X per week. On the last visit, I asked Dr Stewart to adjust a specific place and my pinched nerve pain stopped for several weeks. I'm now going to a smaller more 'hands on' chiropractor for my care and am happy. He also offers spine decompression, cold laser, e-stim, and has a massage roller you can use if you want. These aren't offered at Stewart's. He uses the cold laser on a knee injury. If taping is needed, he does that too. I like the folks at Stewart it just isn't my style. I've been seeing a chiropractor for years and really didn't need the introduction seminar. Then they provide you with your treatment protocol which does not include insurance and is a bulk price. I pay for insurance and the cost for me is lower to use insurance than their plan and I'm not limited to the number of treatments I can get in a year. They didn't seem happy about but accommodated me. I'm not an easy patient for their model, because I don't like the party atmosphere or driving 15 minutes each way for a 5 minute doctor visit with 3 adjustments. Overall, nice staff, good doctors, just too impersonal for my health issues. Normally I'd rate the place a 3 but gave them a 4 instead. I believe they have good intentions and expertise and, if needed, I would use them as an emergency backup but not primary provider. read more

The more I think about the experience with Stewart Chiropractor the more aware of their angle I become. I think the best way to sum this up is like a time share presentation. But at the end you owe money and there's no free gift. Walking in it was odd, tons of people, patient full names being called over an intercom (I guess no HIPAA rules apply here) and Christian music blaring. I am a Christian, so this wasn't an issue by any means but I feel you shouldn't use God to sell your services, but that's just my personal opinion. At check-in they ask for your insurance card, totally fine. Maybe insurance will cover a portion? You'll never know....two days later I still don't know. You fill out paperwork and wait for your name to be called. A tech comes out and gives you a tour which is so sugary sweet and filled with customer testimonials I felt like I was watching a 3am infomercial. I should have ran then, but I didn't. I see the adjustment rooms, which are group rooms. Kind of a turn off but whatever I can deal with that. Then you go to an assessment room. Also very gimmicky. NASA technology to scan your spine. Who knows what is actually is. Of course the scan will always say you need xrays, so again, another gimmick. They also tell you the initial consult is free but $75 will be needed for xrays before a DR will see you (oh and they so gratefully reduce the X-ray cost). This is a very shady high pressure tactic, not cool for someone claiming to push Christian values. Oh and I almost forgot my favorite part! The spine explanation! NOT ONE ACTUAL MEDICAL TERM USED! I mean, the terms were like the "map of God" and "pond flow of life." I believe in chiropractic care, but not anymore if that's what is taught in chiropractic schools. I think we're all smart enough to use terms like "lumbar". Anyway, at this point I've been manhandled into spending $75 on X-rays I didn't want or need considering a medical doctor did them a few months ago. Side note: the X-ray machine was manufactured in 1985, says right on the machine. Also absolutely no cover to use for the rest of your body. Even the dentist covers your chest when doing X-rays! So ponder this, 1985 X-ray machines while they have NASA technology administered by a high school student in the assessment room? Wake up sheeple! It's a scam! Anyway, end of visit. I feel personally bamboozled. I got NO adjustment, no recommendations and have to come back for a 90 minute group presentation to hear my "plan of treatment." Absolutely not! And it's only done twice a week. Come on! How is this place in business??? I'm sure the plan of treatment is a monthly cost that's outrageous but they will allow you to think you're going to die a horrible death if you don't sign up (I'm just guessing on this part but I'm pretty confident.) If they really cared about the patient they could care about treating their pain as soon as possible. Not after multiple circus acts to empty their wallets. Now this place was packed. People obviously like them but it absolutely, 100% wasn't for me. All in all: No same day treatment, very gimmicky and I'm probably half super hero now after using the 34 year old X-ray machine. read more

This specific type of treatment really helped me. This is different from any chiropractic care I ever had. They were fine, but I had a severe back injury from a 4 wheeler accident and nothing was helping. I had trouble functioning through every day things, I had to give up driving my 5 speed car. The pain was constant. But this is so gentle and effective. Within a short time of treatment I could walk without hunching over and wanting to cry. It kept improving until I was zipping around in my sports car and enjoying life again. Definitely worth going through their new patient process. It's not a cookie cutter treatment. I was told over the phone that my initial consultation was "complementary". They wouldn't give me any prices over the phone. I understand everyone's treatment is different but I have a problem when I show up and am told me there is a $75 "evaluation" fee before your "complimentary" consultation. So you want a hidden fee beforw you even give me an idea of treatment costs?? Nope. I work 60-70 hours a week and have very little extra time. I don't like feeling deceived. My experience with Stewart taught me a very valuable life lesson, that being - ALWAYS dig deeper into customer reviews and never allow multiple 5-star testimonials to be a siren's song. As I've now gone into the deep, dark abyss of customer reviews on the 1-star end, I understand that my experience was as unsettling as many others'. The place is very modern and clean - so upon entering, I was impressed. After that, things got -- well -- weird. A young lady said she'd be showing me around the place (unnecessary). I certainly never got office tours from my dentist or GP, and both are some of the finest in Nashville. So that was an immediate red flag for a natural skeptic like myself. The young lady brought me to a wall of testimonials, where she proceeded to read (TO me) the positive, overly sensationalized triumph stories of patients who've been treated at Stewart. Testimonials are lame - but I was far more offended at her incessant condescension, as if I couldn't read pieces of paper myself. I'm pretty sure I'm at least 15 years her elder, and am also a master's educated journalist - so at this point I was ready to cut and run. Note to the Stewart staff: Most humans don't enjoy being talked-down to, especially intelligent, educated ones. But, I pressed on because I'm the kind of guy who simply loves a good back/hip/neck adjustment. Onward to a tiny room for some more patronizing. The same young lady began lecturing me on anatomy - as if I were a freshman in chiropractic school. At one point she grabbed a model spine, and asked me, "So if one of these bones is out of alignment, what do you think we need to do?" I furrowed my brow and said, "Get adjusted," to which she replied, "VERY GOOD!" I'm not even that condescending to my friggin' dog when he gives me his paw. Second note to Stewart staff: PEOPLE DON'T LIKE BEING TALKED DOWN TO! She then used some sort of NASA technology to locate areas of tension on my spine, and said I'd need x-rays - even though I specifically told the girl at the front desk that my GP had x-rays ordered for my spine about 6 months prior. That turned out to be mild spondylosis - perfectly normal, I did some physical therapy, and am usually perfectly fine. I just need adjustments every now and again to relieve tension. But apparently my internist's diagnosis was of little value to the folks at Stewart, because they took x-rays regardless and charged me $60. It was at this point that I was informed that I would not be adjusted, and would have to come back to review my x-rays. Now, I was really irritated at this point - so exiting the facility was the only thing on my mind. But, the x-rays hadn't been taken yet. Another 15 minutes of nothingness - and also, no protective coat while being x-rayed. So, I'm on my way out the door, with zero intention on coming back because I've now had the realization this is a scheme to put patients on extended plans - almost like a time share. But with ALL of that said - I came back a few days later because I was told I'd be adjusted. When I arrived, I saw on the door that the place was technically closed. I was confused. But a woman opened the door and said, "Come on in." I asked, "Is the doctor doing adjustments?" Her response was, "Well, tonight there will be a 90 minute presentation, so if you could just take your seat, we'll ... " Nope! ME GO BYE BYE NOW! read more

I went here as a recommendation from a friend to have a very specific issue fixed. Despite what the business owner tends to say in her replies, this place is very much like sitting through a time share presentation. I have a very specific challenge I'm trying to address, and I have been to chiropractors before in other states that I've lived in; none of the ones I have ever been to were like this. I was told that my evaluation was complementary because a friend of mine referred me. We were given a tour of the facility, which is very nice. Afterwards, we were taken to a room where I was evaluated, where they ran some type of analyzer/scanner over my spine to look for issues. This machine is supposedly NASA technology and very state-of-the-art. After that, I was told I was going to pay $75 for x-rays. I should've left then, but I didn't. I went into the room where I stood for my x-rays. I'm not exactly sure why they cost $75 when the machine is literally 33, almost 34 years old. It was manufactured August 1985 (date is stamped in the manufacturer plate, right on the machine). I was three years old when this thing was made. My point is, they are using antiquated equipment (that was probably paid off 20 years before the last millennium ended) in this facility in one part and using something that supposed to be state of the art in another part. I know the x-ray technology is pretty old, but let's face it there still have been developments and advancements since the mid-80's. They told me they want me to come back the next day at 1 o'clock when I would get my personalized evaluation and treatment plan and sit through a 90 minute group presentation of care or whatever. I wasn't able to make the 1 o'clock because it was a weekday, and like many others I have a job, and my job requires me to travel to other states. With that said, even though I will be back in only 2 days, I was told I have to wait an entire week. There are a couple challenges with this. 1. I received no treatment and am expected to go a full week without any, leaving me to remain in pain. 2. Most people, if you're coming to a chiropractor, we know what we're signing up for and don't need to be "educated" in the ways of being a chiropractor. If we wanted that, we would go to chiropractic school ourselves. I feel like I was swindled out of $75, sometimes that's just the lesson you have to learn in life. After I left this place, I called another facility that can get me in as soon as I get back, and adjust me on my first visit. This is the first time I've ever visited a chiropractor and not had an adjustment on the first day. They claim to be about wellness, but when I expressed the fact that I'm in pain, they expect me to wait another week, it shows that patient efficacy is definitely not their top priority. read more

I went to Stewart Chiropractic today based on some recommendations from a Facebook group. I usually read reviews but in this case I just trusted the recommendations that I received. Big mistake! I am 36 weeks pregnant and very uncomfortable. I saw a chiropractor during my first pregnancy and it was so helpful. I am a fan of chiropractic care. I believe in it and I understand it. I was not told over the phone that I would not be adjusted my first visit. Instead, much like the other reviews state, I was given a lengthy tour, then left in a room to read about chiropractic care. When the tech returned she started to tell me about the spine and different causes of back pain. I couldn't help but blurt out "I think my back and hip pain is being caused by this 7lb baby in my pelvis!" She didn't seem to care! It's like she was a robot reading a script. She then proceeded to tell me that I needed my spine scanned. Then she said I would need to have an X-ray. Then come back for ANOTHER evaluation. My head was spinning. I said "I'm sorry, I thought I was being adjusted today. I'm also very concerned that you're talking about giving a pregnant woman an x-ray!" She then stated that maybe the x-ray can wait until after the birth to determine the cause of my lower back and hip pain. THE BABY INSIDE ME IS CAUSING THE PAIN! Can they adjust their sales pitch to better fit the situation? This was absolutely insane to me. I started to panic. Then she mentioned something about the evaluation fee I was about to have to pay. I ran out of there before they could touch me. This was so crazy. I am so pregnant, in so much discomfort. I work full time and have a child and a million prenatal appointments in the next few weeks before the baby comes. What a waste of my time. I seriously felt like I was being hypnotized. I want to bill them for my wasted time. Not only did they lose me as an ongoing patient (I would have come for adjustments after the birth) they lost my family. I was hoping to eventually bring in my daughter and new baby. Please do not call me to try and smooth this over. I've wasted enough time. I love chiropractors, I didn't need to be sold on this. I have been going to Stewart Chiropractic Center for over a year now. I originally started coming due to a bad car accident I was involved in back in 2016. I continued to have all kinds of issues and I refused to have surgery or take meds for those issues. We moved to the Hendersonville area and I could not have found a better Chiropractic Center! The most important thing I want to express is I got so many added benefits that I didn't realize would happen by going on a regular basis. I also suffer from serious food along with other allergies. I can't take a lot of different meds or eat a lot of different foods. Since I have been going on a regular basis, my food allergies have decreased significantly! On top of that, I don't take flu shots or any meds. I have not been sick with the flu or COVID-19 this whole time since I have been seeing them. My immune system has gotten so much stronger!!!! In the past, I have always been afraid to go to the chiropractor, but from the moment I walked into Stewart Chiropractic, I felt relaxed, calm and cared for. Not only is the office beautiful and soothing as you wait, but everyone is welcomed by the friendly staff where they remember your name as well as details about your life. Dr. Sam and Dr. Clare are amazing chiropractors and are very knowledgable and caring. I have had a lot of relief from my TMJ and back pain thanks to my adjustments. I can also attribute 2 healthy, easy pregnancies to the care I've received at Stewart Chiropractic! Even my 17 month old daughter gets adjusted and the fact that she has only had 2 colds in her life makes us believe in the effeciacy of chiropractic care even more! I am compelled to write a review after seeing some individuals have gone out of their way to be nasty and long winded, when it is completely undeserving for a Chiropractor that is THIS GOOD at what he does. Dr Stewart is an EXCELLENT Chiropractor. When we decided to move here a year ago, I wondered how I would be able to live without our family Chiropractor that we loved. I have seen many different Chiropractors over the 30 years I have turned to this form of treatment for back pain. (When regular MD's didn't help at all) I have been able to live my life mostly pain free, thanks to the miracle of chiropractic care. Does this office do things differently? Yes. Is it worth going through the steps? Yes. Do you have questions or concerns you want to make known? Well how about if you act like an adult and have a face to face conversation with them and express those directly to the doctors themselves so they might be able to improve things (that might be considered a turn off to some people) and they can better their practice? I am extremely thankful I gave them a chance even though I was a little skeptical myself, at first. Speaking from my own experience, most people don't go to a Chiropractor until they are desperate or in pain. I decided I would let their extremely busy practice and of course my own results be my "decision maker." You don't get repeat business unless people are getting fantastic results, and that's the bottom line.
