He told me that it was going to cost $438 to get a new heating element and motherboard. I paid him $300 cash. Another guy came out a couple days later and told me that the first guy misdiagnosed it and it was going to cost $100 more. I decided not to repair it. I called him and asked him if I would get a refund. 'Oh yes yes you will get a refund..'Since then I have gotten two invoices that say I still owe $177. I have emailed them twice. I have called at least six times and get the same answer. 'Oh we're working on it. The bosses aren't in right now. I'll call you back.' I understand they have to take a service fee out . I would like my refund. This was in JUNE. Today is August 6. I think it's been long enough.

During that time, we have had issues almost every year, despite having both a brand-new indoor and outdoor HVAC unit installed. When I asked where the air filter went on the new unit, the technician couldn't tell me and said I would have to contact the manufacturer. We were also never provided with the warranty information for the new equipment. We were told it would be emailed to us, but we never received it. The most disappointing experience happened yesterday. My grandmother is on hospice and is dying. She can barely get around, and on one of the hottest days of the year, with temperatures around 92°F, her air conditioner stopped working. I called at 9:00 a.m. and was told they couldn't come until the next day unless we paid a $295 emergency service fee. After spending over $13,000 with this company and needing service calls year after year, I expected better treatment, especially under these circumstances. In the past, I left positive reviews because my grandmother was repeatedly encouraged and pretty much hassled to do so. She always wanted to support local businesses, even when she wasn't satisfied. Looking back, I feel it was important to share our honest experience. If customers stay silent, other families--especially elderly customers--may end up going through the same thing. As of this review, my grandmother's air conditioner is still not working, and we will not be spending another penny with this company.

Called Steve Hester's for second opinion and ended up that the starter was the only thing that needed replaced. They pride themselves on quality and honest service. I still can't believe the other company tried to sell me a new unit. Thank goodness there are still honest, family owned business around town. My service person, Chris, was able to spot the problem and have it fixed within 30 minutes! He told me exactly what was wrong, what was going on, and what it would take to fix it. I had no questions because he was so thorough. I can't recommend this company enough. I will never call or recommend anyone else for heating and air needs.

The ac unit cannot keep up with the thermostat. One bathroom exhaust fan leaks rainwater into bathroom and all on the floor, when it rains. One side of my house does not receive hardly any airflow and my daughters cant even sleep at night due to being too hot. They merged two exhausts to one duct. There is not a unit disconnect box. The unit is plugged into breaker box. Causing brief low voltage drops, resulting in lights flickering and ceiling fans to loose momentum everytime the unit clicks on. The kitchen range damper clangs open and shut letting constant outside air and humidity into kitchen ... When i reached out with my concerns.
