I was impressed by the quality of the selection and the variety of eras and styles being sold, such as Art Nouveau, Victorian, Oriental, etc. The sheer volume of attractive wares was stunning, and it was a high pleasure to peruse the aisles of Delany's. I would have given 5 stars but I took one off for price/value as I noticed some items were inappropriately priced. There was a marble top 'antique Empire plant stand' for $425.00 that was not an antique, but a reproduction sold by the Bombay Company. Also, I overheard the sales lady quoting a price of $1,500 or $1,600 (I can't remember the exact amount) for a set of Fall of the Roman Empire books, which I was able to find and purchase on Ebay for $100 that evening. So do your research when you shop here and be sure you are paying the correct price.

I told him what I'm always on the lookout for and, sure enough, he knew which booth may have had it. Close, but still not THE ONE I hope to find, but very nice of him to personally help. This place is HUGE, but really crowded vendor booths, selling lots of different art, collectibles and memorabilia. Hubs found a couple of booths with well stocked, easy to search comic books, so he was happy. I found lots of beautiful pieces of MCM glass, but still not THE piece that I know will make my heart happy. A Fiesta dinnerware collectors dream! Many pieces here at prices similar to what I've seen elsewhere. A LOT of cool lamps, chandeliers and other types of lighting fixtures, including some 50s Moss lamps that feature a spinning element on the base. In all my years of "antiquing" this is the first I've seen in a booth. Very interesting. Some booths had sales posted, but it seems one booth in particular had items we collect priced MUUUUCH higher than they're worth, maybe to still get the price they want after "discount." Hmmm.... This store really insists you look EVERYWHERE! So many items hanging from the ceiling or stacked up high. Some booths looked like they came straight outta someone's home from an estate sale. We managed to make it through the whole shop in about an hour, but not without a few dizzying turns. This may not be the best place for very young shoppers that like to touch everything. Reminds me of my mom telling us 'Lead arms, glued to your sides!' when we would have to pass through the fine China and crystal department at Bullock's. Even though the lettering all over it is so in your face. I stopped in for a quick browse but it turned into the long kind. I had a serious gasp when I found a spectacular Andy Warhol that I had never seen before and lingered over it perhaps more than I should since I wasn't in that price range today. Although the price was in line for the value. I chatted with Jessie and he was very down to earth with great stories about Warhol. I was impressed with the well curated pieces that did not disappoint based on the artist names screaming from their exterior wall. I did fall in love with a piece that was not right for my home, but considered it. An incredible piece of mirrored artistry that ever so slightly resembled a matador, if you knew how to look at it. Gah...still thinking about it. Please, if you love art and are not shy with investing in it, do stop by. You won't be hounded by salespeople, but if you wish to engage you will gain in education about the works you are fascinated by and the artists who borne them.
