The older man (at least 60s) told me and my boyfriend at 12pm on a hot Friday in LG when instead of going to ben and Jerry's like I wanted he was saying he wanted to go to Stewart's and get a hand packed pint of one of their new summer flavors and the man said that he couldn't do it for 40 minutes.... When there was only 2 costumers behind us. So we told the man that we'd just go somewhere else because we don't have time to wait around in Stewart's for 40 minutes... like most people don't. We went to the car and 2 minutes later he's getting ice cream for the people behind us! Employees do not listen to what you say and one employee proceeded to tell me they never had an item I got a day ago.

Most of the times I have been here I've had the ice cream, which is decent besides the fact they usually are out of a decent number of flavors. The service is mediocre, but you get what you need. The atmosphere is alright as well. A big problem here is their is usually more customers than the one of two workers can manage. read more

I stopped in to get a quick snack and drink before heading out onto the interstate. This is a really good Stewart's Shop. The employees here not only work, they actually multi-task! There was only one employee working - with two registers open and two lines. I've never seen this before. The employee was working both registers at the same time. While one person's credit card was processing, he'd check out a customer at the other register. Because of this, the lines moved insanely fast. I also ordered pizza, which he had to get from behind the counter, and it didn't slow down the line at all. I was highly impressed by this. The selection of fresh food, pastries and snacks seemed much better than most other Stewart's Shops that I've been to. The counters were clean, everything was organized and had its place, and even the floors were freshly mopped (on a day when snow was melting and everything outside was muddy). Stewart's is a rather unique gas station and convenience store. I like to stop at one of these on the easterly travels. The gas price is reasonable to the area, but they have some unique salty snacks. Overall it is a gas station so the expectation bar is set low. Stewart's does not disappoint. read more

I'm am here for the Lake George car show. Stopped at this Stewart's to fuel up 3 cars we brought up for the show plus a trailer with a car hauler.. I spent about $200 in fuel coming from southern Ct. I also purchased drinks, snacks and ice cream. We all went outside to talk for under 30 mins about cars and finish our drinks and 2 Warren County Police Officers arrived that went inside and came out to tell us that the manager requested we leave. No gas pumps were blocked and the front of this business wasn't blocked. Unprofessional after the money I spent and the respect I showed to this business. I love stopping into various Stewart's Shops when road tripping upstate! the gas is cheap, the bathrooms are surprisingly clean, and the coffee is usually decent. the French vanilla iced coffee here totally hit the spot when it was boiling hot outside. not overly sweet, but a lot of vanilla flavor. read more

Not that I know this area well, but it seems like a mecca for Lake George tourists and nearby locals. Besides having pretty much any snack and junk food you can think of, it's also apparently the favorite morning coffee shop, and with a toaster and microwave on site, it's the breakfast of choice as well. There's a few tables inside to sit at if you're not in a rush. read more

Best mac & cheese!! We also got the ice cream here and the scoops are a generous size. (Plus free sprinkles!) The milkshake didn't really have a size difference between the small and the large, so we would probably just get a small next time. read more

Whenever I'm in the area, and need to either use the phone or pick up a small, cheap item, I always think about this place. It's a convenience store that, although it looks a bit small on the outside, is actually packed with lots of convenience store items a bit more on the inside. The only downside to this place is that you can only get to it via the one side of the street(and if you decide to stop by from the opposite side, you'll have to make a U-turn a few cross-roads down). Personally, when I've been the only person in the car, the one time I myself have stepped in here alone, I ended up having to use the phone to call a long-distance number. The times before this, and like all other Stewarts Shops, this place is a major convenience. When my family and I travelled up here at the end of Lake George's vacation rush in late October of one of the years back, we needed to pick up milk. We knew we would only be up there one night, but it was the best thing for us to do to fulfill the "milk needed desire". Its hard to imagine not living without a Stewarts Shop, no matter where we are, and with or without a gas, Stewarts makes a big impact on my life. read more

i had a situation with stewarts in lake george ny on sunday morning march 7th at 7 oclock i needed 1.oo in quarters because the local laundry wasout of change at this hour i did not relize till i had the washer loaded with clothes. i did have dimes and nickels to exchange for the few quarters. the women at counter had to ask her manager he came out and said he could not do it said he only had 100.00 in quarters in the back.i said but i am giving you change then he said bluntly no i can not do it. so i went across the road to exxon manager was in an so nice and freindly he exchanged for me no problem. i know where i will be spending my hard earned money on gas from now on.thanks to nice people in this world. read more

Stewarts is the only icecream I will buy. It's great tasting and for the price I find it's the best. Also the employees are very customer friendly. The tire air service is the easiest I have ever used. Just set the pressure number you want and put it on the tire, the gauge does the rest. You don't have to know much about putting air in your tire the gauge does it for you. read more
