They were fast and did good work, I was happy with what I received for the price. That said, I did have an issue - communication. This is a relatively small thing considering the job came out almost perfectly, and that is why the review is 5 stars anyways, this is not a reason to not use the company, it's advice to the company on how to improve further. I struggled to understand the main gentleman's English (and I don't speak Spanish), I always feel bad and try my best, but it was a struggle for me. There was another guy who spoke pretty clearly and was clearly bilingual who came up later, and he was easier for me to understand, less accent, spoke more clearly/loudly. I don't think anything bad should happen to the main gentleman who was spearheading the communications, I am very satisfied with basically everything, I just wanted to clarify about how I wasn't sure I was understood or that I was understanding him at times. At one point I was second-guessing if he understood what I wanted done... I did actually go outside and check to make sure they weren't cutting the entire trees down instead of doing the planned reduction due to a misunderstanding. That's a concern you can avoid customers having by improving verbal communication, and potentially adding some written communication at the front of the service (it was a pre-existing quote, the quote had multiple prices/quotes on it. It only came out at the end, and i had to supply it as the customer). There was a very small disagreement about one tree limb at the end that was still kind of overhanging the house. They decided it was healthy and didn't need to be cut, but frankly it's a branch and leaves that will distribute themselves right over my house and into my gutter. It's by far the closest remaining branch and will probably be the first limb to cause me to need to get my trees trimmed next time. By the time it came up at the end, all the equipment was packed and most of the guys were not around, so the limb was left on. I felt like I was told that they were going to do a "looks good" with me before we called it quits, but I guess this was maybe slightly miscommunicated..

Gray was the only one that said they didn't really need to be pruned at this time. That the few dead branches were normal and probably not worth the expense to remove. I looked online for well reviewed local tree services and J&S was one that was highly recommended. Stephanie came out and gave a quote for removal and grinding, which was about half of the other quotes that i received. The team did a great job, especially considering that the tree was inconveniently nestled between our house and the garage, with not a lot of room to maneuver. Once they got going, there was no stopping them! Tree came down quickly and safely - plus they cleaned everything up. The guys were very friendly and knowledgeable & everything was explained to me beforehand. I would highly recommend J&S for all of your tree needs!

The crew was professional, careful, and thorough, and they did a wonderful job cleaning up all of the branches and debris when they were finished. I'm currently at a loss for words with this company. Here's the run down:…read more I reached out because of a flyer that was in my mailbox; needed several trees trimmed with one in particular that is leaning. After scheduling a visit for an estimate for early on a Friday evening (6:30p, their suggestion) I felt pretty good - working late hours, they must do good work and are hungry for the job! About 5:45p I got a call and they said they won't be able to make it out, will come Saturday morning instead. I wasn't going to be home but sent pictures of the trees I wanted evaluated. Having heard from them, I followed up Tuesday afternoon with a call inquiring about a quote, specifically asking if he went to the house. He said only one tree needed service, all others looked fine. I pushed back, saying that the tree in the back is overgrown and leaning, did they see that? He reassured me that it "looked fine." Needless to say I won't be going with this company and its poor communication, evaluation, and customer attention. Heed my warning, all!

They started the project on a Monday, and it was completed on the following Monday. When I had questions, either in person or over the phone, Miguel was prompt, courteous, and informative -- he recommended a light weight chain saw, and I've been very happy with it! As a result of my project, he completed several other projects for my neighbors - all had the same, excellent experience. Simply stated, I highly recommend Miguel and Green Tree Service.
