This was my 2nd time using J and S for tree trimming and I could not recommend them more. They respond very quickly, come out right away, and scheduled work very quickly. It was 48 hours from me emailing to ask if they had any availability to completion of the work. I love that! There were 2 guys I spoke to during the job who were both extremely friendly and helpful. They had about 6 people total so the work was done quickly. At one point as they were finishing up I heard one of the main guys ask someone to bring the ladder back- while I wanted the to cut off the low branches he said I see a dead branch up there near the top i can't leave it like that. I love when someone takes pride in their work. They also cleaned up some other stuff because he said he wanted to make it look good. A+ will definitely use whenever I need a tree service. read more

J&S Tree Service did a tremendous job cutting a dead pine tree down out front and trimming out a bunch of dead wood from a silver maple tree in back. When I called about a quote Stephanie came out that day and a couple of days later they were here to do the job. The appointment was at 9:00 A.M. and they showed up about 20-30 minutes earlier. All the employees were friendly, professional, and worked quickly to get rid of the debris. After they left you wouldn't have known that anyone was here since they cleaned up very well and put boards down to get the machine in the back without leaving marks in the grass. I will use them again when the time comes for work on some other trees in the yard. read more

J & S were an hour and a half late to my house. Things were going great until they asked to open the garage so they could adjust their truck... I said sure, but absolutely do not touch the car inside. I went to go run an errand and caught the guys manually pushing my husband's car in the garage after they were told not to. Later, I could hear them making fun of me because I was upset that they touched the car. I could hear them snickering about me from inside the house. I also warned them do not put any equipment on a certain part of the yard because of our damaged septic tank but they did anyways. At the end, someone knocked and asked how I was paying and I said with a card. Suddenly everyone disappeared at once and no one answers the phone at the office. What the hell? read more

Called for an estimate and they got back to me really quick and had my estimate within 2 days, (called multiple people and either yea yea we will come for estimate but never came) When I scheduled the tree removal they had an opening same week, arrived around noon on the day of the job and they were done in about 2.5 hour removing 2 trees and grinding 1 stump, Really great service nothing else to say read more

Fantastic service, we had a very large tree in our yard that was way to close to the house, approx 6" from the gutters, they came in and were extremely fast, careful, and courteous. Everyone on site was extremely nice, helpful, and accommodating of our needs as we wanted to keep the wood from the tree trunk to turn into usable lumber at the mill. Everything was top notch, would have been 5 stars except they did not give me 10% off the quote like it says on this Yelp page, instead they said it was "factored in" when the quote was given and they normally charge more, if that were the case, quote me normally and show me the discount. I called them based on the great reviews and because everyone said their prices were reasonable. I was not disappointed. Stepanie's estimate was very fair. Jorge and his men came out and trimmed the branches I wanted and even did one extra that he said was in bad shape. They left my yard cleaner than it was when they cane. We realized that our 40' tall spruce had a fungus, and needed to be removed. The only place I called after checking yelp reviews was J & S Tree Service. They were pleasant on the phone, were out that day to leave a proposal, and there a few days later. It was a beautiful thing to watch. One man was in the tree with his chain saw, and the tree was held by a crane. He made several partial cuts as he worked down to the half way point. The crane lifted that away, and the crew finished cutting and mulching it. The man finished cutting the last 20' of the tree, same routine with the crane and mulching. They ground down the stump, cleaned up the area, even searching for branches they may have dropped. And this was all at a fraction of what I thought it would take to have a tree removed! This is the place to use! Very professional! read more

I quoted to 3 different companies to remove 1 large dead tree and trim 3 others, as well as remove a mulberry tree. First off, their customer service over the phone was very friendly and informative. She got my info, a description, and within 24 hours someone came out and left an estimate in my mailbox. They won the bid with a very fair price and we set up a date for them to come out within a week. When they arrived, I met up with George who owns the company. George is great to work with and his whole team of professionals is very friendly and kind. After watching them work for a bit it was clear how experienced they were. I even threw in some extra work clearing some large weed-type trees from my fenceline and George quoted it on the spot and said it was no problem to take care of that day even though it wasn't scheduled originally. They were very fast getting everything done in one day. When I arrived for the finished project to settle the fair price with him, the property looked better than I had left it for them originally. They had even pulled some weeds from my driveway and swept everything. I even had a large pile of weeds I had pulled the day before and it was gone when I got home. Small details, but noticed and greatly appreciated! I would recommend George and his team to anyone in need of tree services. I learned they are a family owned local company, and I can tell George really cares about his staff and wouldn't surprise me if he called his team part of his family, as well. read more

J&S was awesome all around - customer service relative to obtaining a quote, scheduling and responsiveness was amazing before the crew arrived. The crew taking down both our tree and our neighbors to the north equally matched the service tackling a difficult and unforseen circumstance (prior owner injected tree with cement) with skill and utmost professionalism. The crew was also very respectful of our property as well as an adjacent neighbor to the south removing all debris and leaving no signs that they were ever here.
