The food was exceptional except for the chili . We went there for my sister birthday dinner with a party of ten. The service was very very poor. The server did the best as he could; however this was the worst customer service I have ever experienced in years. We ordered steak , shrimp , wings, salads and a number of other dishes. It took so long for our food to be served and everyone food didn't come out at the same time . It took around 15 minutes for a salad to come out that was not delivered during the first serving. Sat at the bar in a Saturday around 1! When i walked in there was a stinch-not sure from where but it smelled like mildew. Anyway, the bar was empty so everything was a breeze! Went to catch up with a few of my friends Firebirds in Bartlett had a really good experience. The food was flavorful and well-prepared, the atmosphere was warm and upscale, and the service was friendly and attentive. Great spot for a nice dinner or special occasion. Firebirds used to be the place. I came back after awhile of not going, and I remembered why. The service, the food, and the atmosphere in general is just... fine. We had about a 30 minute wait for wings, the bartender also seemed ready to go home, not very helpful. I had an old fashioned which was a two-ounce pour! The ice was too big for the glass. It was just not the best. For the price, I expect a little more. Not bad, but not great. Also, PLEASE do something about the gnats! read more

We had reservations for party of 9 at 7:30 to celebrate our son's 40th birthday. Some family members had come in town for it and we rarely are all able to be in one place. This is a place that was the go to place for bringing out of towners when I worked nearby. We were all seated 10 minutes early and then waited 10-15 minutes for a waitress. She was friendly and pleasant but 20'minutes later, we had no drinks, bread or firT courses. In the meantime, condensation was dripping onto the table and a guest. We all shifted the tables about a foot but there was still an issue. A manager was requested and the issues were communicated. I wish I could say things improved...there was no offer to move us. The drinks trickled to the table, bread was brought and eventually the salads came out. There was confusion about who got what and the dressings had to be requested again. The meals came out a few at a time after that. Multiple requests had to be made to get things as ordered. I'm not sure if the problem was in the kitchen, management or wait staff. The waitress was trying and kept a good attitude. The manager was borderline condescending when helping deliver food or checking in. His words were fine but the tone was syrupy and he kept calling us friends....by that time we were done. Most shrugged and said the food was "fine". My shrimp salad was also fine but not nearly as good as I remember it being. It was a very disappointing evening to celebrate a special occasion. No effort was made to offer a dessert or any type of compensation. Two of the four bills were incorrect. One person chose not to deal with it just so they could have. My wife and I celebrated our 22 year anniversary with dinner here. The place itself is very clean and spacious. Our server Terany, was wonderful. She made sure our drinks were refilled and checked on us often. She deserves a 5 star for service tonight. That being all said, the food was average. They start with a white bread artisan roll with soft butter; good start. We ordered the lobster cheese dip appetizer which is average to good but you definitely pay lobster price for it. My wife had the shrimp pasta dish. I had the steak and loaded baked potato. Shrimp and pasta Alfredo were cooked well, just bland and the sauce could have been a bit thicker but that is a preference thing. The baked potato was cooked well but could have benefited with more butter for a loaded baked potato. The steak was cooked perfectly to medium rare but lacked seasoning. The bartender was nice, but I ordered a lemonade martini, which on the menu specifically says Tito's. We were at the spot in the bar where you could see her make the drinks. I was extremely excited to try the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls. However they were not good at all. I ate half of one and couldn't stand to eat the rest. I also ordered a BLT salad and it was delicious. My sis ordered a sirloin steak with mushrooms and it was okay. It's super busy on Saturday and we were able to sit at the bar. The food took a long time to come out but that was expected for Saturday night. The bartender was quick in taking orders and his attitude was professional. Ordered to go for dinner via the website, the burger was good, but the wrong cheese was added and the baked potato was very dry. My order was ready by the time I arrived, and the guy at the host stand was nice and greeted me when I entered. I noticed the portobello mushroom sandwich is back, but only available during lunch (boo!). The online ordering process was a bit weird, I could not add extras like condiments, but I have been able to in the past. Unfortunately, the food can be hit or miss and some days everything is really good or really bad. My husband and I went back to firebirds today after having a good experience last September on our anniversary. We just wanted to grab an early dinner (around 5pm) and get some "good" burgers. He ordered the Durango Burger and said it was fine, I ordered the Smokehouse burger and it was one of the top 3 worst burgers I've ever had in my life. I asked for the burger well done and when it arrived it was like a hockey puck and severely dry. The fries were soggy and covered in grease as well. The burger was just honestly so bad that if it wasn't $20+ after taxes, I would've not eaten it at all. It took me an extremely long time to even chew it and my husband kept laughing that I had to chase every bite down with water otherwise I would begin choking. This is not an exaggeration in the least. I think eating cardboard would have been easier. It was absolutely tasteless and hard. I honestly don't even understand how it's possible to ruin a patty this much. The waitress was fine but nothing special. She was polite but also was gone most of the time aside from taking our order, bringing our sweet teas and then bringing us the food and taking the payment. No actual checking in on us throughout the meal to make sure everything was fine. The restaurant was also borderline empty when we got there but we still had to stand at the host table for 5 minutes waiting to be seated and to not even be checked on during the meal was a little odd with the scarce amount of customers they had there. The check came out to $50 and some change for our two burgers and fries and I'm honestly so upset about it, still. I wish we had just grabbed Five Guys or something instead. If you're wanting burgers, this is NOT the place for you. There are also only THREE burger options on the menu. The Durango, the smokehouse and a plain cheeseburger. This location has been a staple for a long time in this community. Ambience and service was great even at peak time. Food came out perfectly temperatured and in a timely manner along with the appetizer ordered, the lobster queso dip. We just went by and sat at a high top in the bar- we're greeted promptly and took our drink order. Took several minutes to get our drinks- my husbands old fashioned was oddly lacking in bourban. I had the double black diamond Martini and it was good. We ordered lobster queso, prime rib sliders and corm and crab fritters. Queso was very thin- so much that they serve it with a spoon and I thought it had an off taste. Prime rib sliders arrived cold and the meat was well done. Corn and crab fritters were decent, but I'm still trying to figure out what was in them that gushed out when you cut them? Cheese? Ranch? They were topped with Chipotle ranch. We were never even offered any water and our server was nice, but not around much and never asked how anything was. He must have been covering other tables? When he came to clear our table I told him the sliders were cold when they arrived and he did say he would get some fresh one's but we were through eating by then. He did take the sliders off the bill, but the old fashioned was charged at 10.00 for the drink, plus 6.75 for a 2?ounce pour of Makers?! I can tell you for certain that there were NOT 2ounces of bourbon in that drink- guess somebody somewhere is confused. I was able to get a seat at the bar cause there were very few guests in that area. I ordered a regular glass of Riesling and the salad for dinner. Like I mentioned earlier, I got the salad and per the bartender's recommendation, he suggested I do the balsamic vinaigrette instead of the one that comes with it. It was perfect. I would've like for there to be more veggies to the salad. Like cucumbers or Bleu cheese crumbles which isn't a veggies but just more to it. There were greens, the protein and pecans. The service was decent; could be better and more attentive. We went into this place and were shown to a table. We did not have a reservation however the place was 90%empty at just after 5 pm. We were grateful after having driven from central Texas that day to have a table. Given no menus, just a roll of silverware. Firedbirds has truly fallen off. The online ordering process is very smooth and easy. My salmon was scorched, like completely burned and charred. I couldn't really eat it at all.
