If this place is going to make it, it needs a complete overhaul. I'm talking Bar Rescue, Jon Taffer, type of overhaul. First, the servers are slow with acknowledging when patrons need assistance. Most of them sit and socialize with one another, drinking and smoking hookah between walks to/from the kitchen. Second, tables aren't cleaned after parties pay and leave. Third, the music is way too loud and full of profanity. Finally, the servers' uniforms reveal things I shouldn't see at the dinner table . We had reservations for 2 at 1:30 and was seated at 1:25. I ordered the Reservation Special. A lot of food but inexpensive. Server wasn't familiar with menu at all nor could answer basic questions. She was very sweet and went to the kitchen to retrieve answers. Still got the order incorrect but again she was thoughtful and sweet. It was a party of 2 and it took an hour for the food come out. The music and drinks made the hour suitable in addition to the ambiance and friendly courteous staff. This is not to say that they had poor service. They were all very nice. This is my first one star review I ever done for a restaurant. I made reservations for my friend and I to come and try the restaurant. On May 19, 2024 we walked into the restaurant for our reservation. There was a guy there on the host stand. He told us someone will be there to assist us. Well twenty minutes later and a line staring behind us we was still waiting for someone to assist us. It really ridiculous I have to basically give up on my reservation for the place. My family and I visited this location for a birthday celebration. The fried chicken I order was spoiled and some of my family was as well. The side items were way too salty, greens were spicy. My overall experience was horrible. The owner of that restaurant NEED to leave that business to people who really care or passionate about providing good food. My friends and I were excited to try this spot out for BFF day. We made reservations in advance. When we arrived, we were immediately ushered to our seats. It went all downhill from there. The server came and took our drink and appetizer order. We only had water. For the app, we had the buffalo and steak eggrolls. They were not good. We ate it because we saved our appetite and we were hungry! After the appetizer, our server did not come back and check on us for at least 30 minutes. I was so tempted to leave (and should have), but we were able to call other servers over to get more water. 45 minutes later, our server came over and took our order. We waited another 35 minutes before food came out. I had fish, asparagus, and sweet potato casserole. The fish was the only good thing about this visit. The asparagus were ok and the casserole was extremely dry! They have a lot to learn and grow from. I understand that they are new, but poor service is just not ok. When she brought the food to the table, i immediately saw a long piece of hair on one if the wings. I let our waitress know and she said hmmm how should i handle this the proceeded to pick the one wing off my plate and out it in a napkin. She came back out with one wing and said that it was a feather from the chicken. I def know the difference between a chicken feather and a humans hair!! But she replaced it so i digress. We ordered the strawberry Hennessy. It was just alright to me. Nothing spectacular about it at all. I didn't even finish it. For entrees i ordered the lamb chop, my friend got the friend chicken and another friend just wanted a Cesar salad but was told that they are out of salad (though they put salad under the appetizer wings) so she just got some shrimp. everyone said their food was just ok. The lamb chops was my greatest disappointment, they were extremely over cooked and lacked seasoning. Surprisingly, the shrimp was well seasoned but the chicken wings too lacked seasoning. The lights began to get lower around 7 and even more dimmer at 8. Every hour, the music was turned up a notch. The vibe def gives club vibes! The people were coming in in heels and some were in Jordan's! After while it just got too loud to even hear us talking at the table. Had reservations was seated right away. The waitress brought us a menu and water (in some cheap cups). The waitress didn't come back until an hour later to take our order. The service is horrible... I had reservations at 7pm for a party of 2 for a bar table in the bar area. I didn't get that we had to sit in the hookah lounge with a lot of smoke. But the host said you can smoke throughout the restaurant. Please don't dress up I could've kept on my J's and a T-shirt... The food is horrible!!! I waited for 2 hours for chicken fettuccine that's dry. My friend order came out about 30 mins before mine the chef come to the table and apologized and asked me what did I order again.... Smh. I visited the restaurant on yesterday and the service and food were horrible. Since the time we arrived, seated and exited restaurant. It was soul food Sunday. The host seated us at the table and the table was dirty and food was still left on table from previous guests. It was 30 minutes later before the host came back to table to clean off the table after seating us. The restaurant was not crowded at all. It took another 20 minutes to come back to take our drink orders. She did bring out drinks right out but it was another 32 minutes before she came back to take our food order. Hell the ice had melted in my water. While placing our orders, she informed us that nothing was available on the soul food menu except corn and okra. I'm like wtf. How you going have soul food sunday but no soul food. We end up ordering off the regular menu. The fish was not seasoned, the okra was so salty that you would've thought the chef cooked the okra in salt not oil and 2 of my guests found a string of hair inside their cornbread. just now LONG HAIR IN MY FOOD! I normally don't leave bad reviews but after my second (and last) visit Sunday, April 23rd, for soul food Sunday, I must. The server was friendly but maybe spread too thin as it would be long periods between simply request: water, hot sauce, bread. My entrée's sides were switched because something was out of stock without asking me what would be an acceptable substitution. Then there was long hair in my greens. Like, so long that it pulled more green out of the bowl with it as I lifted my fork. The server witnessed this as she was walking towards my table and she removed the greens and apologized. She brought more greens out as a replacement about 15 minutes later . I declined them, requested something different but after waiting 15 more minutes without receiving a replacement side I just went to the hostess to check out. I was billed for the full meal, I requested compensation because I didn't receive my full meal and of course THE HAIR, the server goes to get the owner, he comes out, DOES NOT MAKE EYE CONTACT, DOES NOT ADDRESS ME, and takes $5.00 off my ticket. From the long wait of our food when it was probably ten people in there if that many, to the half raw lamb chops to the turkey wings come out looking like oxtails. I went here yesterday with a friend and we had reservations for 6:45. We waited for snot 5 minutes before somebody seated us. The place was really pretty which we loved. At the time there wasn't a lot of people so we are waiting, 5 minutes goes by and nobody has come to ask what drinks we want or anything. We are like okay maybe they're busy, there's some people at the bar and they're orders are being taken but nobody has come to us. More time goes by and the few servers that were there never came, they would just walk past us. After about 25 minutes of nobody coming to our table we decided to leave which was really disappointing because we were excited to try the place.
