I've eaten poke all over SoCal and Hawaii and Butterfish hands down is the bestttttt! I for real would invest in opening a BF in LA. Also, I was having a really bad day and I accidentally ordered my bowl at the wrong location and they were so nice and made me a new bowl at this location. The customer service is great, the portions are fire, the price is THE BEST, and the curation of each bowl's ingredients is ART. I'd love to see some cauliflower rice in place of rice.... Originally, I was planning to go to another pho spot nearby that I've been going to since high school, but as I walked past Pho 99, I looked inside and decided to give it a shot instead. I'm really glad I did. The restaurant was about 20% full when I arrived, so I was seated immediately. Service was prompt and friendly, and the food came out quickly. The pho itself was fantastic. Rich broth, good portions, and everything tasted fresh. They also had all the classic condiments and table setup you'd expect from a good traditional pho restaurant, including hoisin, sriracha, soy sauce, chili flakes, salt, pepper, chopsticks, spoons, and napkins already set out and ready to go. They also brought out the standard herb plate with bean sprouts, jalapeños, citrus, and fresh herbs, which is always appreciated. Drink selection was solid too. I ended up having a Tsingtao beer along with my pho. One funny thing was that when I sent a picture of the pho to my girlfriend and a few friends, multiple people immediately asked where I was because the bowl looked that good. Since cutting beef out I've branched out to their seafood pho and it tops everything else. Their Thai tea is amazing, not too milky perfect balance keeping in that strong tea taste. Stepping in, the space is always clean and you're hit with the smell of the broth stewing, the space is small so it may look contained for someone new coming in. The service is incredible by all staff, I have never had anything but genuine encounters there. When seated you see the standard: chili oil, peanuts, hoisin sauce, chopsticks, broth spoons, napkins, sugar etc and when receiving your pho they always give you a bag with lime slices, mint, bean sprouts, and tiny containers of hoisin and chili oil (if taking to go). You'd think I'd have pictures since I've gone hundreds of time for almost two decades but o get too eager to eat before stopping to take a picture. The bruschetta is one of my favorites; it's light and fresh, and the bread is perfectly toasted while still soft inside. We also love the RCBA, Spicy Carbonara, Roma Rigatoni, and the Spaghetti and Meatballs. I love their sauce. It's not sweet like some other Italian places. Their salads are always fresh and delicious, and my picky eater son loves their spaghetti. The food is consistently delicious, the ingredients taste fresh, and it's become one of our favorite neighborhood Italian restaurants.

Goods in Madera. My mom is from the Philippines and often misses home food. I got the sisig fries, and my mom got the IDK plate. They let us sub out the pork lumpia for an extra vegetable lumpia, which was nice. My mom loved the food and said it tasted like hers. I agreed with hers after taking a bite. My sisig fries were loaded and very filling--I only ended up eating half the box. I love the attention to detail--the fried egg, the mayo, the furikake, and the calamansi--everything was perfect together. The food truck itself is covered in stickers and also has fruit juices and Filipino snacks that we enjoyed seeing. I love the decorations/designs on the truck as well.
