    Salmon and seared tuna bowl

Even though the line was long, it moved quickly. Everything was fresh. Able to choose 5 veggies and 2 sauces with 3 proteins on the regular bowl- make your own

The service is fast! The portions are generous. The quality of the fish is SO GOOD. I refuse to eat Poke anywhere else. Truly one of one. This is place is so consistent with their quality. They also move fast, don't be intimidated by the line when you first walk in :)

Freshness exemplified! Ordered a Veggie Bowl with rice, wonton strips, and mixed greens- it was phenomenal!! Loved the customer care as I navigated through the many choices of toppings, and the patience as I was a bit indecisive. It's all amazing! The vibes are super chill, with a clean modern motif, plenty of seating both inside and out, and just a smooth experience overall! Like a well-oiled machine, this place keeps containers stocked with everything fresh! Loved how a new container of rice was brought over for my bowl. As I was about to check-out, I opted for the bag of wonton strips and guac...highly recommend it. If you haven't been here, you gotta go- you will not be disappointed. Well done Butterfish Team, thanks!

Came to this butterfish for the first time. Did an online order so can't say much about service and ambiance, but I can speak about the food! For online orders, they have a pick up window that is OUTSIDE their store, to the right of the door. Ordered 2 regular sized custom poke bowls, one for me and one for my sister. I felt that the protein scoops were small because I ran out of protein fast. Also, the seared ahi tuna tasted sort of tough and dry? Texture wise. But besides that, everything else was solid! Rice was cooked well and flavors were present

Build your own hot bowl online, selected "no base" and in notes I put down if they were able to sub rice base for salad and kelp noodles. Perfectly made bowl! The wonton chips with guac were good although the wonton chips were a bit over salty. Great portions for price and quality!

I am really glad I found this place. I've been having bad luck finding food here in Clovis and a friend recommended that I try this place. I ordered for takeout since I was just on my lunch break. I never found a poke bowl place that's offered beef and bacon fried rice and it was great. I also had salad, imitation crab, salmon and tuna and it was really good. I had some fried shrimp on the side and it really paired well with the bowl. I did notice that some of the rice was undercooked but it was still edible.

The food at Butterfish Poke was absolutely amazing fresh ingredients, great flavor combinations, and generous portions that hit the spot. The service was okay, nothing that stood out but it got the job done. At the end of the day, I would still recommend giving it a try if you're in the area.

Reg bowl with spicy mayo, salmon, ahi tuna and spicy crab

First time here. I frequently go to the Friant location when craving poke. My husband and I dined in for dinner and this location was the closest to our daughter's swimming lesson location. The line was long per usual but the workers were very kind and patient. My usual is salmon and ahi tuna, they don't have yellowtail anymore so I decided to try the spicy crab. And I usually get spicy mayo as my sauce. There was nothing spicy about my bowl. I was a bit disappointed usually there's so much flavor but the day we went to this location it was lacking any flavors. They gave the smallest scoops of protein. BF usually hits out poke bowl cravings but not sure if it was an off day or the location but our cravings weren't satisfied.

5/25/25 Great to go with wine! Each ordered what we want. Paid for it and went to get it a little bit later. Arrived to pick up! There was a line. Clean & safe! Calm. Greeted and the worker told me I could pick it up at the walk up window if I wanted. Did. Greeted Gr worker she he got it bagged and handed it over with good day wishes!! GREAT!! Lunchtime! My bowl was Fresh & DELICIOUS! Everything in it and the sauces made it even better!! Mother said hers was Really Great!! 1/2 is plenty! 2 meals for both too! Great service & GREAT lunch! Highly recommended!!

This is the closest butterfish location to me so I'm back! The service is a lot better than my last review which was years ago lol.. I always get the large with the 5 scoops. Everything always tastes fresh and the sauces are good too.! you get a good amount because I usually don't finish my bowl in one sitting. I also ask for wasabi on the side so they give you a ball of it already in a lil container. The place can get busy at certain times they also have a window you can order and pick up from outside. Super convenient.

Just no. I didn't know 2 scoops meant 2 pieces each scoop & a couple strings of imitation crab (no exaggeration) with the smallest bit of rice. All I could think was "what am I going to eat after this." I was applauded by the chintzy portions & the overload of toppings & sauce to hide the fact that there is no actual poke in your poke bowl. To top it off not a single worker looked like they wanted to be there & didn't treat any of us any better than they felt. I've been to quite a few poke bowl places & they are always very generous with their portions & service. As far as the ambiance goes, they have a nice location & the interior is very spacious. I would not recommend this spot to any poke bowl lovers.

It's been awhile since we ate here. Decided to grab some lunch. The line was long, but it moved fairly quickly. We placed our orders for the Teriyaki Beef Bowl w/Bacon Fried Rice, Teriyaki Chicken Bowl, Honey Walnut Shrimp Salad & a "Build your own Bowl: Thai Beef w/Bacon fried Rice. Everything was good, but both the beef & chicken teriyaki bowls could have used extra sauce. I didn't taste the teriyaki at all! I don't know if the cook forgot the sauce. The bowls also took a long time! The Honey Walnut Shrimp was refreshing. My daughter got the Bacon Fried Rice with her bowl. I tried it and liked it a lot! I'll definitely get that instead of the regular Sushi rice in future bowls. I had to make 3 separate payments at checkout even though all the bowls were on one order! It was a bit of an inconvenience. The cashier did apologize. The restaurant tables were full when we first arrived, but we were able to get a table. We enjoyed our lunches despite the long wait & missing teriyaki sauce.

That is exactly what happened during my recent dinner at Elderberry House. I visited with a group of four, and between us, we had two gluten-free diners and one vegetarian. After a quick heads-up the day before, the restaurant handled our needs with total ease. We went for the five-course tasting menu, and it was incredible from start to finish. We kicked things off with one of the best oysters I have ever had, followed by a beautiful tuna presentation. The kitchen even looked out for our gluten-free friends with a special version of their herbal-butter focaccia that was actually delicious. By the time the main courses arrived, I honestly could not decide if I liked my beef or my friend's snap pea risotto better; every single bite was pure perfection. The cocktails were another high point. My first drink was great, but after chatting with our server, Jordan, I decided to try the Last Word. It featured that hard-to-find green chartreuse, and I am a little annoyed to report that I have a new favorite cocktail that requires such a rare ingredient. The service is what really made the night so special. Jordan was so charismatic and helpful, making sure we were perfectly taken care of all evening. He was so good that I almost worried a second visit would not be the same without him, though the rest of the staff quickly put that fear to rest. Abby was so friendly and responsible for a truly unique but perfect-for-the-vibe playlist, and Chris the mixologist even stopped by to geek out about gin and cocktails with us. From the genuine care for our food sensitivities to the clever touch of the iPad check-in hidden in an elegant binder, it was a night for the books. I cannot recommend this place enough and look forward to bringing my family next!

We headed in at an odd time yesterday around 230pm. It was late for lunch and too early for dinner. Nevertheless, we were seated in the front dining area, and ordered some entrees. The menu offers a lot of familiar favorites that you would expect to see at a a bar/ restaurant. Burgers, sandwiches, salads, and a few specialty plates. For my meal, I ordered The Local burger (no pickles of course) which was absolutely fantastic. Piled high with cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomatoes - this burger was executed to perfection. I ordered it medium, and it came out medium (imagine that). The best part was the sunny side egg that was placed on top. That first bite was heavenly. The yolk breaks, and all the goodness adds a little extra flavor to the already delicious burger. The shoe string fries were seasoned perfectly- I highly recommend this entree. The only thing I would add next time is an element of spice to take things up to another level. My wife ordered the BLTA sandwich , with sweet potato fries. I didn't try a bite because I had enough bacon on my burger , but I did sneak a sweet potato fry , and it was fantastic. My son order the chimichurri steak , he seemed to enjoy it although it may have had too much sauce on it for his liking. Perhaps it would been better if he ordered the sauce on the side. My picky daughter ordered the pesto chicken sandwich ,and she said it was pretty good. My family and I were full , but weren't going to let the dessert options pass us by. My family has a sweet tooth. We all shared the chocolate cake and bread pudding . Both are nice options if you need something sweet to top off your meal. The food and vibe of this place deserves 5 stars. I will deduct one star for the mediocre service and inconsistent food prep. Our meals were coming out one by one which made it awkward when trying to eat together. Our server didn't offer refills on our drinks , and didn't bring us utensils -until we asked for them. I will be back to try more menu items , and enjoy a cold beer while watching the game.
