One of the best massages I've ever gotten. Bethany worked with me to find an appointment time, and was very communicative in that process. The environment is so soothing and calming, I felt comfortable immediately even though I often get anxious and awkward beforehand. Bethany asked for input on what I was looking for, checked in to make sure I was doing okay, and even explained some of her techniques when I asked about them! She integrates so many different approaches to personalize your massage and make sure you get exactly what you need. Even 24 hours later I'm looser and more relaxed than I've been in months. I wish I never came here. Upon arrival, I was Humiliated and told I couldn't have a massage because the male massage therapist was uncomfortable with giving a massage to a Hassidic woman. Because the rabbi(?) had an agreement with him that he (Ron) wouldn't massage women from our community. When asked for more information he failed to produce said Rabbi's name or contact information, or even a written agreement. When I'd called to make the appointment, they told me that only a male massage therapist was available. I think a massage is given on professional basis, plus my shoulder really hurt, so big deal, male massage therapist, right? Wrong. It's ok for a male massage therapist to massage only males. But it's not ok to decide which female to massage, based on religion/gender/appearance. What's next? You only massage good looking women? I went out of there empty-handed and I still cannot believe this happened to me in the United States in 2014. The only reason that I didn't give you 1 star is because all online reviews had highly recommended you. Apparently you do give really great massages, only you discriminate who gets to have your services based on gender and religion. Shame on you! read more

This past Christmas I received a gift certificate to Stillpond Massage Therapy for a one hour massage, which included hot stone therapy. I have never gotten a massage before because I never thought I could be comfortable enough being undressed in a strange place with a total stranger. I've always been too self conscious for that. But last week my midlife aches and pains were bad enough to finally use that certificate. As soon as I walked in, each one of my senses started to feel the soothing effects of zen like music and essential oils aromatherapy. Immediately after being greeted, a heated neck wrap was placed around my neck and shoulders. Not even 5 minutes in the door and the drastic difference in how my mind and body felt was amazing! So much more calm and mentally peaceful. Bethany brought me into one of the therapy rooms where she immediately put me at ease and asked me some questions that would personalize my massage and make it more beneficial for me. Her professionalism and respect for my privacy was combined with sincerity and kindness making it very easy to relax. The massage itself was absolutely amazing! Bethany made sure she paid special attention to my trouble spots and just when I thought I couldn't feel any better, Bethany brought the hot stones out. My brain pretty much shut down from that point, which means that I no longer was feeling my arthritis pain. Hallelujah! All the bad stuff just melted away! And that's when I realized I should have started doing this a long time ago. It's been a week now and I am still able to tap into that great feeling I left there with. I'm looking forward to going back. I'm guessing the second time around will be even better. Needless to say, I highly recommend Stillpond Massage Therapy. Absolutely the best massage I have ever had, and I have had plenty. I love massages, but usually the masseuse is too rough or too light with their touch. Teri, however, applied the perfect amount of pressure and expertly worked out the pain and knots I was experiencing. I rarely give such a glowing report free of criticisms, but this place was just what I needed, and at a very affordable price. I woke in the middle of the night in such shocking pain, with muscle spasms and tightness in the neck. Going to Blooming Grove Chiropractic really helped, but I also credit them for having StillPond's card, because Teri's massage took away a great deal of the pain and gave me back range of motion in my head and neck. I have been a client at Stillpond Massage Therapy for almost seven years now. I have always found Ron and Bethany (the owners) to be very caring in their treatment. I may arrive there tense with aching muscles; I leave there super relaxed. They know how to pinpoint problem areas which I didn't even know were there, and then get them to feel better. Bethany, Ron, and Terry (who also is excellent) have treated me. The receptionists, Fran & Camille, have always been very welcoming, both in conversation and in placing a warm wrap on my shoulders as I wait for my appointment.
