You're not going to get cheesy posed pics of your wedding; you'll get classic timepieces that take you back to the day. And you'll have fun. We really had so much fun with them on our wedding day, and with Daria for our engagement photo session too. Really, when you think about it, you spend more time with your photographer than any other single person (besides your significant other) on your day, so you better like them. She calmed me, made me laugh, and really helped make the day. And it's a big plus to have the two of them- Daria and her equally wonderful fun husband Andy- so you can have double the coverage. And our pictures... I'm still getting comments about how great and unique they are. I LOVE that they do a slideshow of the event- putting the pics to music just really tells the story of the day. The 2 negatives that made me hesitate between 4 and 5 stars are price and timing. The packages are very pricey (more than what the Knot tells you to alot for a photographer budget), and watch out for additional costs which I think are a little unfair to not include within all packages (digital negatives, slideshows- it's best to ask exactly what ISN'T included in your package to have it spelled out). Although, I have to say, they were worth every single last penny. My other negative comment -'timing'-is that they are not always perfectly organized and responsive/quick with turnaround. It's been 6+ months since our wedding and we haven't gotten instructions on our wedding album, despite multiple requests, nor do we have our digital negatives. But overall I feel it's better to wait for awesome pics than to have ones you're not so happy with right away. Overall, really great, fun photographers that will give you the wedding pictures you dream of. and ps- even if you have no intentions of ever getting married, check out Daria's blog on her site. I was wanting to document my body in this very incredible state in a more portrait style setting. While my pregnancy had been extremely joyful, it hadn't necessarily been all rainbows and sunshine; I really wanted the photos to capture that. Heather. Gallagher. Delivered. Many of the photos were nude portraits, and Heather made me feel 100% comfortable and beautiful, even though it was 1,000 degrees in June and I weighed about 1,000 lbs :) They turned out so beautifully, and I had a blast! Photos I will cherish forever and ever. Sadly, since many of the photos were nude, I wasn't comfortable with Heather sharing them on her public portfolio. When we found Two House Photo we got what we were looking for times two! After seeing their work online we booked an engagement session. Kirstin and Carin had us comfortable and laughing right away. The photos were awesome and got us really excited about the upcoming day. There was no hesitation in booking them for the wedding. The 7 hour package they offer is an incredible value. As a team of two they're able to actually be in two places at once. We have been married a two months and cannot stop looking at the photos over and over. They took the necessary group shots, but it is all the in between moments that make the photos so special. Each emotion of the day is captured beautifully. Our wedding party and guests continue to tell us how wonderful Carin and Kirstin were at staying behind the scenes and unnoticed. Their work never distracted from the events of the day. It was important to us to be comfortable with our photographers as we would be sharing some really personal moments with them.
