First of all, location: Center Street Mercantile is not on Center Street anymore - it's on Block Street in the same shopping center as Little Bread and Dark Star. It's a welcome change, much easier to get to with a better parking situation. parking nearby is paid during weekdays, but it's free nights and evenings. There are coin meters and you can get more than an hour of time with $0.25. Second, the goods: Nice variety here of party food, decorative bowls, jewelry, local carvings... Good hodgepodge of things. You'll pay more here than at a big-box store but the goods are fairly priced. They also have a farm fresh eggs sometimes! Third, the candles: Yes, the candles get their own category. The owner of the store has a collection of candles he has made that are scented like different hot spots in Northwest Arkansas - Majestic Lounge, Common Grounds (RIP), Thorncrown Chapel, the ballpark... and they really capture the scent of each of these places! I would buy the entire collection if I had the money, but I do have four of them. Fourth, the owner: SUPER nice! He's always been super friendly when I am in the store but he doesn't look over your shoulder while you're shopping. He's really knowledgeable about everything in the shop. The store is generally open Tuesday through Saturday, but I was super thrilled it was open on a Sunday for the Christmas season and I definitely spent my money there today. This store is connected to the actual Blue Spring in Eureka Springs, which is a Native American healing place. I wish I had gotten the name of the woman who was there because she was extremely helpful and kind. This shop is so cute and we had a great time looking around. I was seriously impressed with their house made water colors and was so grateful we got to try them out. They have a table in the middle where everyone is encouraged to paint and make some free art for their library! It was such a welcoming experience and we loved chatting with the employee there. Unfortunately as this was the end of our trip there was no budget for their amazing water colors but I am so impressed by the quality and service there, I will be sure to budget in a shopping spree here for our next trip. This was truly a magical experience. I could tell the woman working there really valued art and the power of art which was so beautiful :) I can't wait to go back!

My family and I had a…read morevery unpleasant experience at the welded yard ornament shop that is located outside next to Jigglen Georges.. We went there to purchase a yard ornament for my mother in law. I will never set foot in this place again . The lady that owns this store came up to us and proceeded to insult my husband and I, telling us our children had no manners, and that we made her nervous and that we were taking stuff from her store, and to go on. There was no hello, no can I help you, nothing. Never in my 37 years of living have I ever had anyone tell me my children had no manners, ever! And we don't even know this lady! Beware!
