horrible business. I ordered flowers 10 days in advance. Received a confirmation email and even a request to substitute flowers because they didn't have what I originally wanted. I agreed, no problem. Delivery date came and went - no delivery. Called three times emailed three times, no response. terrible. read more

Thank you Kelly!! I needed a birthday gift for my sister, but I'm 3,000 miles away. I tried another florist but apparently they had closed due to Covid economy. Kelly to the rescue!! Yelp suggested Stix 'n Stone as "close by" and it is. I spoke to Kelly and she took care of everything. We designed the perfect gift - a potted mum that my sister can plant outside once the flowers droop, and then enjoy again each year. I'll post some pictures once I hear back. While I've never had the chance to visit the shop in-person, I scheduled a delivery of a succulent arrangement a few weeks in advance of a very specific date I'd like them delivered on. Not only were they able to deliver to a UConn dorm house, but Stix n' Stones put together the sweetest, most perfect succulent arrangement I've seen. The pot and the succulents they chose sent the perfect cheerful message I was trying to deliver from hours away. The arrangement was delivered on time without the need to call and check in as a reminder. The woman I spoke to on the phone was friendly and helpful, and the pricing was very reasonable. I didn't have to worry about a thing. I couldn't be happier! read more

This is a review of Stix N Stones restaurant - a recent addition to the Stix N Stones brand. On the restaurant's opening night, I had dinner at Stix N Stones and ordered the Caesar salad with steak. I was very impressed with the steak - it was perfectly cooked, juicy and thick. The restaurant itself, service etc. was a bit unpolished, but it was opening night, so I understood. Because I had spoken highly of it, my husband and I went there for dinner last night and ordered the Caesar with steak. Totally different experience. The meat that arrived at out table was shocking. Thin, ugly to look at, approximately one third fat and gristle and absolutely cold. We sent it back to be warmed up and it was returned still cold, with a remark from the kitchen that rare steak is supposed to be cold. (News to me. I've been ordering steak at good restaurants for decades and I know the difference between "cool in the middle" and stone cold.) I had remarked that the meat seemed to be a very different cut than what I had had before, I was told I was wrong. I've never had bad attitude from the chef delivered directly to my table before. It was most unpleasant. And most unprofessional. Our server was nice, but she didn't offer us any compensation for our dissatisfaction - a cup of coffee, removal of the corkage fee etc. as you would expect from most good restaurants. Needless to say, we won't be returning to - or recommending - this restaurant. read more

We absolutely recommend Kelly and Stix N' Stones. She was down to earth and very easy to get along with, and we knew immediately she was the one we wanted to handle our flowers. We went to Kelly with a very basic idea of what we were looking for and color pallet for our May wedding, and she took the minimal direction we gave her and ran with it. We were completely blown away with the result! The flowers looked amazing and we could not have been happier.. We received so many compliments on the flowers! Candles, soap, plants, olive oil..... the list is endless!! Mike is super friendly. They will help you find the perfect plant, gift, whatever.
