The visitation was held in a very nice size room and there were plenty of chairs and places to sit for everyone. The flowers were tastefully placed in various parts around the room. They appeared to go out of their way to do anything to assist the family. The church service as well as the grave side service was as nice as any one I've attended and seemed to go off without a hitch. There was a flag ceremony and the flag given to his wife. I noticed later, when we returned to the church hall, that Newcomer even gave her the wooden flag case. A very nice touch. I would highly recommend Newcomer to anyone.

I asked for the exact same thing that we did for my father, they pulled the sheet from 9 years ago and followed it to a T. Now here is the amazing part that I did not anticipate, the difference in price from 9 years ago to the present was three hundred dollars, not thousand but hundred. I was shocked. This post is not meant to paint me in the light of some tight wad person who only cared about price, what I am trying to say is this place has a formula and it works. There is nothing cheap about how they handle their clients, the total was about six thousand eight hundred, but you would have thought we paid 20,000 thousand for the service they provided. My father looked so natural, it was amazing. Now my mother is in their hands and we are receiving the same quality service we received in the past. I will always recommend this place because of their professionalism and I can attest to the value you will receive compared to what other homes quoted me. Do not feel that you cannot afford a quality dignified funeral, this place can help.

Emplo told me I had to have the funeral at their chapel and I had to buy the headstone from them. Fortunately, my sister in law told me to call another place. I called Newcomer and they told me only thing Memorial Garden has to do is the actual burial. We went with Newcomer. They were half the price and we had a wonderful service. Do not let this establishment play on your emotions. They should be ashamed of themselves.

The service scheduled to start at 1:00 started about 1:15 and that is because the priest started. He spoke and had some readings and then said we will have another song. Another song there had not been the first song that we heard. I was in back and faintly heard music. We all waited and became uncomfortable. The priest had a final prayer. Finally a representative of the funeral home came in and said that concludes the service and burial would follow. We waited outside and she came out and asked who the pallbearers were. They had not told the family they would need pallbearers. Granted most families would know this but this was the first funeral arranged by the family. The employees or owners showed no respect for the deceased and I feel for the family. All the services I have attended whether in the funeral home or church, there was always a funeral home representative close by making sure everything went smoothly.

They have been phenomenal to work with and I would highly recommend this Memorial Park. The staff treats you with respect and understands the difficult times you are facing. They are very experienced at what they do so they make the difficult decisions very easy. The maintenance team inside the park also works very hard to keep the cemetery clean so you can be proud of where your loved ones are buried. I recently had a stone placed on one of our cemetery plots. I watched how the maintenance team handled this with care and made sure the stone was placed properly placed on our cemetery plot. The office staff then followed up several days later to make sure we were satisfied and to see if we needed anything else. They truly make you feel very special during these difficult days. Kentucky Heritage is a newly built area. It's a beautiful space that includes a covered area for services. It resembles Churchill Downs. A path tells the store of thoroughbred horses and Kentucky's races. It's so nicely done and when not in use, provides a shaded area for those visiting. So many things have changed because of the Covid-19 Pandemic and one of them is how some funeral…read moreservices are handled. My wife lost one of her Aunts. She was a beautiful alert lady who lived to be 101. When her family told us about the arrangements for her service we were surprised to hear they were going to have a "drive-by" service. We had no idea what to expect as were drove in the parking lot and saw a short line off cars going past the front of the building with the family all standing outside. As we approached the family greeted us, all wearing masks and social distancing. They opened two large glass doors for us to get a clear view of the open casket. We exchanged words with the family and then drove off. It was clearly one of the most unusual services we've ever attended and certainly not like any previous ones we've attended.
