The interior displays, decorations, and offerings are changed almost daily. Immediately upon entrance I was greeted by the nicest employee who was more than happy to accommodate all my questions and show me around. The entire interior is decorated with stunning crystal displays, metaphysical items, and plants that are all for sale. The offerings range through the entire alphabet A-Z in crystals, rocks, and gems. There are large display pieces all the way down to mini figurines, towers, bowls, dishes, and much more. Meadow, who owns the shop is frequently there to help guests and customers. She is a jeweler herself and makes the most beautifully wrapped necklaces, rings, and gem bracelets. You can tap to pay, pay by card, cash or use venmo. You can sign up for a rewards system $1 = 1pt which adds up pretty quickly given a majority of items are priced at market rate or slightly higher. The shops instagram page is kept up to date and is very educational, showing the large variety of products available, not to mention very aesthetically pleasing. frequently meadow, the owner, does an Instagram live and allows for bidding on products. Sun River Gardens is beautifully organized, thoughtfully displayed, and stocked with a selection that puts most nurseries in the area to shame. Walking through it feels less like a garden center errand and more like an experience worth making time for. The indoor plant section is well curated and extensive. The outdoor area covers annuals, perennials, trees, and shrubs. The pottery selection, both indoor and outdoor, is lovely and priced accordingly. The pre-potted arrangements are hard to walk past. And then there is the home decor section, which is genuinely my favorite part of the visit. Exclusive, elegant, and full of pieces you simply will not find anywhere else, from beautiful accents and furniture to the most charming toys you can imagine. None of it is cheap, but none of it looks like anything else either. Now for the part I have been trying to figure out for years. I have a green thumb. I have a home full of healthy thriving plants. But something consistently happens with the plants I bring home from Sun River Gardens. Within a week or two, despite careful attention and following care instructions, they decline and die. This has happened enough times to be a pattern rather than a coincidence. Interestingly I have noticed the same thing with plants from other high end nurseries, while plants from Harmons or even Walmart almost always thrive. My best guess is that greenhouse grown plants raised in highly controlled environments struggle more with the transition to home conditions, but I genuinely do not know. What I do know is that it keeps happening. And yet I keep coming back, because the selection and the experience are that good. Four stars for the atmosphere, the inventory, and that home decor section. Just go in with realistic expectations if you are buying plants to keep alive.

The space is clean and flanked with racks on one side, and shelves on the other, with a few fixtures sprinkled in. I was here on an errand for someone, actually, so I came looking specifically for a long sleeve Patagonia shirt. They had plenty! They do feature a lot of Patagonia, Hippytree, Cotopaxi, and Naturebacks among others, including a few things with their own house brand. It's primarily clothing, and I didn't really look too much into the gear stuff. They had some nice sweatshirts, tees, and long tees. With those brands, you can imagine that they're not giving the stuff away. Long tees were anywhere from $25 to $50. That's about par for the course on the stuff, so not unreasonable so far as comparison shopping goes. I dig the vibe, I dig what they're into. It's a small store so you can pretty much peruse everything and see what they're about in one trip, but with changing inventory you have plenty of reason to come back again.

I met up with them, but noticed a store in the strip that caught my attention. They had Patagonia, Cotopaxi, and some other brands I recognized, so I ditched the girls and went over to check it out. This store is awesome! It has a nice vibe and a great assortment of comfortable and useful clothing, gear, bags, etc for outdoor types. Definitely has the mountain vibe that compliments the nearby mountain ranges! One of the owners, Amber, was super friendly and helpful and I really loved the selection of clothing and accessories in the store. If you are looking for a local boutique to feel the outdoor Utah spirit, MAGO is the place to visit!
