Love the atmosphere and coffee. The people are a hoot too! Highly recommend making this your morning routine in La Conner.

Cute building with beautiful baskets of flowers welcoming you!

We seem to have a knack at finding the best coffee shops in the areas that we visit! Stompin Grounds fit that bill in every way! Another local business seconded that we would fit right in so we headed over. Boy, were they right! It's a fun, funky shop with light-hearted signs and sayings. Once you meet Kim and her lovely "girls" as she calls them, you know why! Kim pours her soul into the business and provides great coffee and food items, which she makes herself. Jackie and Mary always had smiles on their faces as they went about their duties. We enjoyed popping in each morning to start our day, sometimes camping out for hours getting some work done since they have speedy wifi! I prefer to be out front in the comfy seating because I love people-watching and the bustle but there is a small living room setting if you prefer more of a quiet place to enjoy your beverage. :)

This is the worst place First of all.. the cute photos of a brown house with big windows is no longer this coffee place: as their sign clearly indicates, they stomped across the street in a shack which is a shame. The most unfortunate thing though is that the staff is terrible. When i walked in the young " barista " had a mask right under her nose (fine) and she lifted it like she was going to die. I tried being nice and said i liked the pebble art but she didnt even answer lol. I asked her what the James dean drink was (since the items are not listed) and she said shaken mocha so i asked whats the difference between that and milkshake but she seemed so annoyed. Truth be told; i wanted to know about a few more drinks but she was so thirsty to get back to her FB that all i wanted to do was run and hide so i just selected the milkshake and called it a day. Its not even good. Its all ice. The front yard looked like a white trash neighborhood mismatched items can be cute. But not here. This place is a disaster and while im sure the owner has some soul, the employees sure dont care for the business. Overall this was a super depressing outing that i wish i never did. Then i tipped the girl lol.. whats wrong with me?! She didn't even say thanks or have a good day - nothing! She was a rude 16y old.

Great coffee shop, menus is to the left of the register for food options. The ladies that work here are so friendly- we have two active young boys and they were so accommodating. 30oz iced coffees!!!!!!!!!!!

Outside - plenty of seating in the gardens

Love this place and they make great coffee. However it's way overpriced. I just spent $9 on an iced americano.

There is some street parking, but we ended up parking in a public parking lot north of the cafe. The place is cute and charming, and it's decorated with art that is for sale. The menu on the wall was just for drinks, and their food menu was laminated nearby for us to peruse. We had a nice chat with JJ (who I think is the co-owner), and he was very bubbly and nice. It was fun to witness his kindness to other customers and neighbors as they came in. This place seems very involved with the community. There are a few tables both outside and inside. The TV behind us was playing Pandora for radio music. Nearby, they had some free chocolate-covered coffee beans and your own water and silverware station. I got an Arnold Palmer, and boy, was it tart! I got my own sugar to try to sweeten it up. I also ate the Ricky Ricardo panini, and it wasn't my favorite. The aioli wasn't flavorful enough for me to notice, or maybe it was missing, and the pickles were too thick. I didn't love the flavor profile on this sandwich, and it was pretty hot (in temperature) to eat, so I had to let it cool down a bit. Connor loved his smoked salmon toast! There were a ton of capers, so lots of salt there. The herbed cream cheese was the star of the show, with the flavorful toast being a close second. He really appreciated it. I think I'd be happy to come back and try a different sandwich.

The cafe was very busy when we arrived and had to wait about 20 minutes for an open table out on the deck. Due to how busy it was, I had high hopes that the food was good. Unfortunately it felt more catered to the one and done tourist - take their money with over priced mediocre food that certainly did not command either aesthetics or taste. What we ordered: 1. Fried calamari $18: this was the smallest portion on an appetizer plate with three calamari rings and a handful of what appeared to be minuscule tentacle pieces heavily battered to give the dish the appearance of "more". Bland and oily - nothing really outstanding here. 2. Captain's Platter $28: this was the most expensive item on the menu. I ordered it hoping that at least quantity wise it would be satisfying. It came with one fried piece of cod, one fried piece of halibut, four fried shrimp and fries. I have never eaten more bland fries in my life. They weren't even crunchy but soggy with oil as they laid under the fried fish, which likely was hurriedly plated on the fries without letting the oil drip off. The fish was overcooked for sure - the cod was so small that I was honestly offended. The shrimp - undercooked. 3. Strawberry lemonade $5: standard, on the sour side. The only pleasant thing I have to say is that the hostess and waitress were very sweet. They were definitely understaffed and I felt badly for them so I tipped well. But I would not go back and do not recommend - unless you like to waste your vacation money on this tourist trap.

There's more here than just olives: garlic, sauces, jams and jellies, mustards and other condiments, pickled veggies, vinegars, oils, wine, kitchen goods, cookware and doo-dads, books, apparel, and likely a whole lot more I overlooked, while whittling down my selection to a handful of jars.
