    Coconut cream scone, the best!
    Ashli A.

Tried the scones at a farmers market in Lake Stevens last year and had to make the trip to La Conner to get some this year! The coconut cream scone is especially moist and soo good.

Granola with no sugar added. YUMMERS!

We heard how good the scone lady bakery was and they weren't joking. I had a bite of the coconut cream scone and it was delicious. I also had a bite of the Raspberry scone and it was delicious. These scones are dangerous with goodness and the homemade Granola with to added sugar WOWWWW YUMMERS.

I honestly didn't know scones could be this good. These are hands down the best scones I have ever had in my life. I have only ever known British style scones, which I find dry, and hard pastries and only edible when dipped in tea- I was never really a fan. These are American style scones and they are on a whole other level- these scones are so soft, moist, and flavorful, It's unreal. No tea needed. You would actually be doing yourself a disservice by eating them with tea since you'd be diluting the flavor of the scone! We ordered the key lime coconut scone , the gooey lemon cookie, and "futures" of the marionberry scones. She let us buy the marionberry ones before they finished baking . They were SO full of buttery goodness!! The Key lime coconut was my favorite, followed by the gooey lemon cookie and the marionberry. All were devoured within 5 mins though so it's really hard to say which topped which. I was really impressed by the lemon flavor in the gooey cookie too- SO good. Her shop is slightly hard to find. It's located inside this red barn looking building. She has a small bifold sign out in front but if there are cars parked there, you wouldn't be able to see it. You walk down the middle hallway and her shop is second on the right. It's just so cute too. Inside there are a couple of small round tables and tea-room items everywhere. Not good for large parties. It'll be warm inside too since the kitchen is open to the seating area. This could be great in the winter, maybe not so much in the summer. The service is great. Christie is actually behind the counter baking these amazing desserts! She had a helper when I came in and she was a sweetheart too. Their pastry section was basically empty when we came in. These scones go fast. They were also baking constantly throughout the day when I came in so if that's the case when you come in, you're bound to get one hot out of the oven if you wait a little bit ;) There will sometimes be a couple strays at the end of the night that she sells at a discount on a rack labeled "Day old scones". I saw them brown-bagged on a rack outside the store. You must plan on stopping here when you're in the area! I would suggest going out of your way to come here. It's worth it. I've declared this my most favorite cookie place in the country. Too bad I'm an out-of-towner. Luckily, yelp exists to put places like this on the map! Do yourself and your family a favor, and try these scones. Keep this local family run business running!

lemon blueberry. That's all you need to know. You can't really go wrong with any of the flavors and their giant cookies are fantastic too.

Best scones and baked goods. Family run and they are wonderful. I love buying cookies at Christmas. I'm not a good baker.

Nothing fancy here- just absolutely fantastic scones we've tried several different ones and they have been uniformly delicious.

I have had Water Tank Bakery in Burlington bookmarked for awhile and admit being late to the party, so to speak. But this time coming back south from Edison, Bow, Bellingham and Sedro Wooley, I made it a point to visit on 3/28/26. It is located by the Port of Skagit County, with the regional airport, other commercial businesses, and serendipitously next door to Cairnspring Mills. Look for the Fresh Bread signage starting at Higgins Airport Way that shortly leads you to the retail window. The daily offerings are listed on the business website, as well as, the magnet board located below the retail window. After a brief wait, it was my turn and enjoyed my brief conversation with the founder, owner, and head artisan baker, Rachael Grace Sobczak. She mentioned that majority of the baked goods are from a sourdough bread starter and uses local flours from Cairnspring Mills (next door) and Chimacum Valley Grainery (Olympic Peninsula). From the website, it was great to learn that she baked for a decade at Breadfarm in Edison. She was also involved in her graduate studies as a dietician and concurrently with other community projects. A pandemic pivot started the journey to create the successful Water Tank Bakery. I purchased a four pack of roasted garlic parmesan rolls, a four pack of coffee toffee chocolate sandwich cookies, and two lemon raspberry cream cheese polish buns. All of these were outstanding! Water Tank Bakery baked goods are also available via other retailers (listed on website) and at the year round University District Farmers Market in Seattle on Saturdays 9am to 2pm. I was told, however, there's better availability and variety visiting the retail window in Burlington. Worthy detour!

A bit off the beaten path, but nice fresh bakery goods. No donuts to speak of…read more Order from the window, just a couple of racks of breads, rolls, a few cookies, and very few pastries. Nice lady working there. Close to the airport.
