I am brushing aside the fact the whoever answered me (as you can see, there is no greeting or salutation to this email) is not even sure if the rental property was still available or not. I will certainly not be wasting any more time attempting to do business with them.

The other tenants of this apartment building are also crooks and thieves. I have had my GPS stolen from my car, and most recently packages stolen from my door step. These acts of theft are not uncommon here either, and are almost common place. If you have any interest in renting in Montpelier, stay away from this place completely. I would recommend looking at craigslist or trying to find a private owner that you may rent from.

The tenants she selected for us immediately tried to shake us down demanding $9,800 in cash from us, the landlords, because they decided they changed their mind and wanted money for another place. When they were told they had no legal standing to make such an absurd claim, they then stated they would be paying rent late every month because they didn't have enough money. (Bailey stated that they had more than tripled the rent available monthly and would cause no issues.) Additionally, the tenants trashed the property leaving garbage all over the front porch and driveway. I'm terrified as to what the condition of the property will be at the end of the year. Bailey actually wrote to me today that I have a "good cause" for not renewing these tenants again next year. I don't know if she is wildly naive or just completely lied about her experience. Whatever the case, I strongly recommend working with Bailey Kuban or anyone at Green Light Real Estate. We are living our worst case scenario.
