During the two years that Tom worked for me, I was mostly satisfied with his work. Our phone communication was always good; his email responsiveness, however, was not always the best. However, after my recent experience with him, which resulted in the termination of our working relationship, I must say I have come to question his judgement, integrity as well as accountability. Problems arose when I decided to raise the rent in one of my units this past summer and asked Tom to notify the tenants in spring. For months he assured me that everything was fine, the tenants had been notified and, when renewal time came, a new lease had been signed. However, after we failed to collect the new rent amount for several months in a row, I contacted my tenants, at which point it became clear that Tom had never pursued the lease renewal. Tom Rotella has let me down in a big way by failing to have my tenants sign an agreed upon lease renewal with a rent increase, which resulted in their tenancy becoming month-to-month as well as hundreds of dollars in lost revenue. Once I confronted him with the evidence and asked to see the lease, he stopped responding altogether. I wrote Tom one last email, giving him a chance to clarify and possibly rectify the situation. He has not responded to my email to this day. I therefore cannot recommend Tom Rotella to anyone looking for a reliable and dependable property manager.

Terrible experience! I have been living here since October 2016 and my experience was nothing but…read morebad from the quality of the apartment and tenants to the property manager. The buildings appearance is nice from the outside but totally deceiving. The apartments are cheaply made with no isolation between the floors. I can easily hear my neighbors upstairs talking, doing their business in the bathroom and having sex in odd times in the middle of the night. Neighbors upstairs stomps their feet hard on the floor and jump out of bed in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. I couldn't get a single quiet night sleep since I moved here. Water leaks in my living room from the neighbors upstairs due to poor flooring. I complained to the property manager multiple times but nothing she wanted to do. The community is filled with rude and dirty tenants. Someone with mental issues fired 17 rounds from his gun and a few buildings were hit in November last year. Luckily nobody got hurt. Each apartment has a dedicated numbered parking spot, however, other tenants park in my parking spot. When I complained to the manager she said there is nothing she could do and if I want I need to call a towing company on my own expense, absurd! Neighbors sitting out in front of the building and just stare at me every time I come and go. There is not enough room for the kids to play in such dense community so kids play on the roads which is dangerous, and it gets very noisy at night. It seems there is no proper tenant screening, what they care about is to fill empty apartments as soon as they could. Rent is not cheap at all, and it feels like living in a ghetto low income housing. I can't wait till my one year lease is over so I can move out!
