Once you sign a lease the company does not care about your well-being or comfort. During the last two snowstorms there has been hazardous conditions and no effort to resolve it. Every sidewalk is covered in thick ice without traces of salt. Many shared videos and statements going around between the neighbors. We were told in an email that we are NOT allowed to do this on our own and must allow their company to do it. Unsafe, especially for those disabled, elderly, or pregnant. I been living there 4 years and it gets worse every year. If you don't mind pet urine on the carpet in the lobby or your floor this place for you. They don't have maintenance on the weekends so if it's not an emergency it will wait unit Monday. The elevators stay dirty and yet the rent keep going up for keep up with the property. It looks good on the outside horrible inside. They have bugs from the attic coming into the apartment just horrible. I'm moving asap. read more

Warning to all future tenants, not all is as it seems. Be very weary of the "Luxury" title this rental property tries to boast about. First let me start off by saying I am a new tenant and recently moved into my apartment with my husband and son this Saturday. Upon moving in I was very disappointed and actually shocked at how dirty and unclean my brand "luxury" apartment was, especially for a new tenant who is just moving in! When I say unclean, im not referring to dust or normal wear and tear I am referring to dirt, grime, stains, grease, a list of things that I came across as I inspected every inch of my apartment: Dust filled vents Dirt and hair in the shower drain Grease in the stove Hair in the fridge Hair, dust in the corners of all the closets and along the moldings Dirt and grime above the kitchen cabinets and along every cabinet shelf The list goes on and on see the pictures they speak alot louder than my words! So i went to talk to the the Property manager Dawn, she tells me that she did a personal walk thru of the apartment with the Community Manager Mike and she was a little perplexed as to how it could be that dirty. Now I'm looking at her like are you serious as a property manager how could you approve an apartment in this condition to be moved into?! Standard rule of any rental (let alone a "luxury"rental) is that it needs to be thoroughly cleaned as if no one had lived there (not talking about normal wear and tear) but the apartment should have been cleaned and scrubbed from top to bottom! In addition it should have been repainted and the carpets should have been cleaned with a carpet cleaner, for the new tenants! None of which were done. I told her that i will hire a cleaning company but i want Stonebridge to pay for it. She tells me that she's not sure she can get it approved. She proceeds to tell me she will send the maintenance man on Monday to clean everything, and I'm like Ok. Monday comes and he shows up with a roll of paper towels and a windex bottle!!! Are you serious.....where's the brillo pads and sponges and bleach and ajax and buckets and mops and brooms! So i tell him I'm sorry but this is not gonna cut it. Next I call Mike the Community Manager, he gives me the same story about doing the walk thru and he will send the maintenance guy and I can point out what needs to be done. At this point I cant take these people and there titles seriously, point out what needs to be done?! The entire apartment from top to bottom, it was never cleaned in the first place! So he tells me he will have a cleaning service call me to set up a day for them to come and clean and they will pay for it, that was my original request after all. This was at 12 noon, it's now 6:30 and i still have not received said phone call. So I still have my stuff in boxes or on my kitchen table waiting to be put away in clean kitchen cabinets and clean bathrooms and not feel disgusting that my family and I are sitting and playing on carpets that have not been cleaned in who know's how long......I'm beginning to feel as though my bad experience at this place doesn't matter to them and that they really don't care about their tenants. For them to call themselves a Luxury Rental establishment and charge Luxury rental prices they need to have Luxury Standards and Better customer service. I cant wait a day longer to unpack my stuff so I will call my own maid service and make sure I write a letter to Corporate so that they know how this place is being runned. We moved in to Stone Bridge in 2013 when the apartments were first built and have enjoyed our time here very much. So much so that we just renewed for year three. Our two bedroom / two bathroom apartment with a den is bright and very quiet. The development itself is beautifully landscaped and very well maintained. We enjoy the fact that the community is gated with very little car traffic. It's a great place for walking, and Duke Island Park is close by if you want more space to roam. The clubhouse includes an exercise room and business center, which are a great benefit and very convenient. There is even a multi-purpose room that can be rented out for events such as birthday parties. There are two charcoal grills to use, and the outdoor pool is clean and great fun for the summer. The complex is within walking distance of the town of Raritan and trains to New York. Somerville with its great restaurants is just a five minute drive. As with any apartment, sometimes things go wrong, but we have always found the property manager Dawn and maintenance man Dave to be quick to respond and address any issues. All in all it's a great community to live in. read more

I came to Stone Bridge hoping to relocate to Raritan. I saw a few apartments here and was disgusted to see that some of them were dirty and one of the dens had an odor that smell like pet urine. This was gross to see and management should really have all apartments inspected before allowing people to view them. I agree with the other reviewer on yelp, as I viewed the apartments there was a strong smell in the hallway coming from neighbors who were cooking. This could be an issue if you are sensitive to certain spices or food with strong smells that cause headache. Also, the lady working in the office could be friendlier and she seemed irritated when I asked to view more apartments. After finally seeing more that were CLEAN. The bedroom size was decent and kitchen had stainless steel appliances, which is nice. The amenities are also a plus. Overall, this place could be good for someone who work in Raritan or Somerville and need an apartment with a den. It is located right next to the Raritan train station and it could be very convenient if you are a commuter who travels within NJ. However, this place is not ideal for the daily commuters who need to be in New York. The monthly pass from Raritan to New York cost over $400.00 and the train ride is more than an hour. If you don't work in the area, this place is just not luxury enough for the high price. The carpet needs to be removed and replaced with hard wood and the bathrooms are average. The only luxury I saw in the apartments was the kitchen with the stainless steel appliances. I will be looking at other apartments in the area that are priced fairly for what it offers. read more

My boyfriend and I were here last weekend on a search for the perfect apartment. There are many pros and cons to this apartment complex. Many may not consider them cons. I did not like that this complex was immediately off of 202. 202 is an extremely busy road and if you are familiar with this area during rush hour then you know the nightmare you can experience. Especially if you are coming from 287 then you know that you will have to encounter the infamous circle as well. Luckily they is an entrance only road on one of the side streets so you can access the complex a little easier. Upon entering the club house you will see a very impressive gym. This was very appealing to me since I would not want to visit the gym during rush hour and its a plus not having to pay a gym feel. This place was very busy on a Saturday and the complex is not very prepared for the traffic. Unlike most places which have management show you several apartments, the keys to several apartments we ere interested in were basically thrown at us. I understand it was busy, especially since these are fairly new apartments, but the unfriendlyness of the lady working at the desk was very off-putting. She was helpful but only as much as she had to be. When we got back after looking at the floor plans we had to wait 20 minutes because another couple was signing a lease. I would figure they would have someone separate for this task but oh well The floor-plans offer the most square feet for the price that they are offered at in the area. Upon walking into each of the doors which contain about 12 apartments you can certainly smell your neighbors. Specifically what they are cooking which is slightly off-putting especially since they were very strong smells. I recommend seeing the corner unit with the den and the loft. It is very impressive. Although this was out of our budget, we took a look at the middle units with the den and the loft. This unit was still impressive. The layouts are very unique and very spacious. There are about 6-8 different layouts so I am sure you will fine one for you as long as you are looking for a 2-3 bedroom apartment. Their amenities are top of the line. Among my favorites were the garbage disposals and the alarm systems in each apartment. In each living room there are enormous windows and cute balconies. They are pet friendly and offer a $40 dollar a month fee along with a non-refundable deposit which is pretty standard. They are currently offering a 1 month free deal. The deposit is very expensive especially if you plan to live with a pet. The deposit is a month's rent plus the non-refundable pet deposit. Although the regular deposit is refundable (assuming you do not destroy the place) it is a decent amount of money to initially put up front. We found other places that offered little to no deposit in the area offering the amenities. If you are dead set living in this area then I would highly recommend this complex but my boyfriend and I are looking for something a little more convenient with better management. read more

I've lived here for more than two years and I have to say that I am very happy with the apartment, amenities, and the staff. The common grounds, both inside and out, are kept neat and clean. The staff has been very responsive to any repair requests I've made. They are also very friendly not only to me, but my guests as well. I like all my neighbors. They have all been friendly - so it makes for a nice environment. I have never had problems with noise from the outside or inside. I love the surrounding area as well - great restaurants to choose from and all shopping is convenient. It really is a great location to be able to get anywhere in NJ, and even NYC is only about an hours drive away. If you are thinking of moving here, when visiting the leasing office ask for Dawn. She has always been helpful to us from when we first looked at the apartments and to this day. And thanks to Dave, our maintenance manager, who is always there when we need him. GE read more

We've been living here now for almost two years and have only positive things to say. I'd highly recommend the Stone Bridge at Raritan to anyone looking to move into the area. It's really close to a lot of things to do (think Bridgewater, Somerville, New Brunswick) and right near a train line (only an hour to NYC.) Don't be fooled by these reviews. It's strange that there is not one unhappy review with anything. I have lived in apartment 1011 since September 1st 2016 and for almost a year now I have been fighting an infestation of bed bugs. We have had the developments extermination company here 5 times now and they still can't figure out the problem. I have called Mike Kaplan the property manager and he does nothing but point fingers and push the blame on me saying that I must be bringing the bugs in from other places. I wanted to bring in my own service in but we are not allowed due to so called insurance issues. Sounds like collusion to me. After almost a year of trying to fix this problem I went to the property manager telling him that my wife is going through stress and anxiety waking up every day with bug bites and if they would let us out of our lease so that we could escape this disgusting apartment. His answer was NO. I have spoken to the extermination company that the development uses and they agree that after one round of proper treatment that we should be bug free. We are now going through our 5th treatment and unbelievable discomfort, mental exhaustion and inconvenience and are at our wits end. Whatever you do , do not live here. Don't fall prey to their misleading reviews. In addition, the grout in our kitchen floor is all coming up, the development falls prey to Canadian geese every spring and the geese droppings are everywhere and is very disgusting. The developments answer is "wait till the summer is over and they will leave." I am not surprised with that answer. If you want to use the TV in the gym you better be prepared to wait. My family and I love this complex. The buildings are looked after by a great maintenance team, special mention to Dave who always goes the extra mile, to complete any job required of him. The leasing staff are very friendly and approachable with any concern or issue you may have, I have personally dealt with Dawn since moving in and she is very informative and through with her work. The amenities of the complex are perfect, my daughter really enjoys the children's play areas, which are kept clean and updated where needed. The pool is a wonderful feature when open in the summer, the clubhouse contains a gym, computer suite and lounge area. All perfect additions to the complex. All year round they provide outstanding teams who maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the complex. Summer months see landscapers who maintain the lawn areas and shrubs, the winter sees a snow removal team who are more than friendly and do an amazing job! All round, GREAT complex, friendly and hard working staff and a place I see my family and I staying for a long time! read more
