I'm not usually one to leave reviews, but I feel obligated to warn others before they make the mistake of signing a lease here. INFESTATION ISSUES This place is infested. I'm talking mice, roaches, and all kinds of bugs -- and not just occasionally. It's a constant problem. I've woken up to mice running across my floors and seen roaches crawling across my kitchen counters and even into appliances. Despite multiple complaints and service requests, management has done next to nothing. Pest control, if they show up at all, is a temporary band-aid on a much larger issue. PLUMBING & STRUCTURAL PROBLEMS The plumbing is absolutely horrible. Leaky pipes, water backing up into sinks and tubs, and constant foul smells from the drains. I've had toilets overflow more than once with no urgency from maintenance to fix the issues. The water pressure is inconsistent, and hot water is not always available. NON-EXISTENT MAINTENANCE Getting any sort of maintenance help is nearly impossible. You can submit requests through the portal, leave voicemails, even walk into the office -- and still not get a response for days, sometimes weeks. When maintenance does come, the work is either half-done or they claim they "didn't find anything wrong." I've had to resort to fixing basic issues myself just to be able to live semi-comfortably. RUDE & UNHELPFUL MANAGEMENT The main office staff is not only unhelpful -- they're downright rude. Any time I've tried to raise a concern, I've been met with attitude, excuses, or just ignored. There's zero accountability, and it's clear that residents' concerns are not a priority. Instead of helping resolve issues, the staff gaslights tenants or blames them for the problems. GENERAL NEGLECT & LACK OF CARE The entire complex feels like it's been neglected for years. Common areas are dirty, trash often overflows from dumpsters, and lighting in parking lots is poor, which is a safety concern. Packages go missing regularly, and there's no secure system in place for deliveries. BOTTOM LINE: DO NOT MOVE HERE. It might look okay during a quick tour, but don't be fooled. Behind the scenes, this complex is falling apart, and management doesn't care. Save yourself the stress, the health hazards, and the money. There are much better places to live -- this is not one of them.

When we moved in, a detailed background check was required, now it seems that management is filling the apartments with anyone who walks in off the street. Noise levels have increased and people are hanging out at all hours of the night. Recently, there have been several car vandalisms in the lot, including one just last night, where all four tires were stolen from a vehicle. The building super is rude and denies any problems, but talk to any renter here and you will see behind the facade. We no longer feel safe here. Thankfully our lease will be up in a few months, and we will be getting out of here. Future renters - find somewhere else to live!

The apartment lease does not have any clause that the landlord will do the maintenence, so it is up to the discreation of the landlord to do maintenece even for minor things like fixing kitchen faucet. The local apaprtment manager is very unfriendly. Several times I called for minor maintenence and the local manager (Kathy) charged me for the maintenece claiming that the damage was caused by me. Eventhough this place is close to the somerville train station and convenient to commute to new york, I do not recommend this place to anyone. They do not demonstrate the basic qualities of professionalism, integrity, and customer focus, which is a requirement of any successful business. In today's business environment, presenting a realistic schedule and most importantly sticking to it is of utmost importance to all parties involved. Alpine Flooring LLC presented what turned out to be unrealistic start and completion dates, just to land the contract, fully knowing they would not meet these dates. Thus, from the beginning, the entire process involved a great deal of unprofessional bullying, misinformation, and lack of response. Much to my distress, the entire project ended up being piecemealed, thus extending well beyond the expected completion date and still remains unfinished. Having experience with numerous flooring projects, I was extremely disappointed and quite surprised by the lack of clean up, as the new floors were dirty, dusty, and a great deal of debris was left behind. I deeply regret contracting Alpine Flooring LLC to install flooring in my home. Consequently, I would never recommend this company to anyone, since they most definitely do not stand by their word.
