DO NOT BOOK THIS VENUE. Stone Gate was once a beautiful and professional wedding venue, but after being sold twice this year alone, my experience was incredibly disappointing. Before signing my contract, I made it clear that I was planning a destination wedding December 2027, and would need flexibility with planning timelines as I wanted everything planned at minimum, 6 months before the wedding given some exceptions to the event designs. I was assured they would accommodate this. Then the person I was working with, got fired. I had to reshare everything for my event as there were little to no notes in my account. The new person assured me that everything previously discussed would still be the same. Based on those promises, I paid the $1,000 deposit, scheduled a planning meeting, and spent just over $2,000 traveling to Utah with my bridal party. After signing and paying $1,800 (deposit and first payment) communication completely fell apart. Despite repeatedly trying to confirm my appointment, I received no response until days before my trip, after many calls to the planner and property number. Finally, I got a callback and was informed the planner I had been working with left the company, and no notes about my account or scheduled meeting were passed on, for now the second time. They assured me I could still have my meeting, despite the planner no longer being with the company. When I arrived, I discovered they had only scheduled me for a venue tour.. not the planning meeting I had traveled there for. The one person on site had no idea what was going on, couldn't find notes in my account, and was unable to help as no one seemed to be answering his phone calls. It was clear there was a serious lack of organization, communication, and standard professionalism. Not to mention they couldn't remember my name, wedding date, or appointment details. I've never felt so overlooked by a company. There was also no manager on site, or even in the country I could speak to. I was then informed that I would not be able to meet with a planner until five months before my wedding, despite being told the exact opposite before signing. Had I known that, I never would have booked with them as I cannot make a special trip 5 months before my wedding. After multiple conversations, I lost confidence in the venue and requested to cancel my contract as they violated their end of it. I only asked for the payment beyond my non-refundable deposit to be returned, since they had not delivered what was promised. Instead, I received a text message stating they would keep all of my money. They then had the audacity to say they lost trust in me as a client, when I'm the only one who had communication, notes, was very clear in my expectations before ever signing an agreement, and made my payments well before they were due. No owner or manager ever called to discuss the situation. I am now out $1,800 in venue payments and nearly $2,000 in travel expenses for a meeting that never happened. The only remedy that was offered was having a new employee, a full time student, to manage my wedding. When I pay thousands for an event I expect professionals, not to be a practice run for a new company. Don't let older 5-star reviews influence your decision. The venue I originally booked no longer seems to exist and has been sold to people who care more about getting your money than giving you the experience you paid for. If you choose to book here, be prepared for poor communication, a lack of accountability, and likely a very sad and unorganized event. If I could give negative stars, I would. I'm sure they will have more to respond to my review, than they did to me in person as public image is more important to them than your personal experience. read more

Long overdue review. We had our wedding here in September and it was sooo much fun! It could not have been possible without Jennie and Brenda. Jennie helped ease a lot of my worries with planning our wedding. We had Brenda as our coordinator who was so patient with us from the beginning til the end. We had a lot of unforeseen changes the day of the wedding and they were amazing coordinating with my mom and other family members to make sure we had a good time. Stone Gate made my wedding day more special than it was already. I had very little faith in myself that I would be able to plan and pull off a reception that wasn't lame. Planning parties for any occasion is not my forte and I actually hate it! But I knew that I had to suck it up since this wasn't just any party, it was for my wedding! And my assigned wedding planner, Brenda, was amazing and helped me pull it off. It was definitely stressful leading up to it since there were so many decisions to make, so many people with whom to coordinate, and tasks to complete, that I was second guessing myself on several occasions on my decision to spend so much money on Stone Gate since it was all still very very stressful. But, come the day of, I didn't have anything to stress about since it was all taken care of, and Brenda made sure of it. And everyone had a great time at the reception. I can't tell you how amazing that makes me feel since I've never done anything like this before in my life (and I hope never to again!). Now that my wedding day is over and the reception is behind me, I am happy that I went with Stone Gate. It was worth the cost. I would highly recommend! read more

We just got married last night. We reserved a LONG time ago, which left plenty of time for things to snag along the way, which they did of course. Every time they did, the crew that we had the chance to meet (Jennie, Michelle, and Christy) did all within their power to help us make sure our day went smoothly. When they had to switch our reception venue, they gave us a discount. When our original planner became unavailable, they immediately had us set up with someone new who we heard from within days. When the person who was supposed to perform our ceremony was stuck in another state due to the pandemic (with less than a weeks notice) they helped us get everything set up so she could perform the ceremony over Skype. I was so nervous things wouldn't go right yesterday, but thanks to everyone, we were able to enjoy the night, dance, and appreciate the time we had with our loved ones who did so much to make sure they were there. read more

Our Stone Gate Wedding experience was an absolute dream! They are the nicest people and took all the stress out of planning our daughters reception. The Great Hall is absolutely beautiful with all of the drapery & twinkle lights, and plenty of room for a wicked dance party - it was so fun! The only thing I would have done different is have them cater it, we brought in our own treats and I wish we would have had them do everything so we didn't have to worry about re-stocking the food or clearing the tables, this was our first wedding so we'll know for next time. Caitlyn did a great job as the wedding planner and she was very attentive and thorough. We are so grateful we found them! Highly recommended!!! read more

I had my wedding reception here in April. I was coming from Colorado so I needed as much all inclusive as possible. Stone Gate was perfect for that. Perfect customer service!! It was gorgeous, everyone was excellent: flowers were AMAZING, catering - so good, and the cake was so awesome. The BEST part was our wedding planner: Mili!!!!! If you use this place, request Mili. She went above and beyond in every regard. I just LOVED all her ideas and everything she did for us. We got the photo booth and it was a hit. The only negative was the sound system. I hope they can fix this issue and upgrade to something better to match the excellence of everything else they provide. Very fair price for everything and I highly recommend them!! read more

Our experience with Stone Gate was spectacular in every way! We recently had our daughter's wedding reception there and it was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Since I live in California, I needed someplace that would handle everything for me. Stone Gate took care of every detail, but also allowed me the flexibility to use outside vendors too. That's incredible! They were easy to work with and made the process enjoyable and special. Even when we had to make some unexpected changes, they were extremely accommodating and helpful. The Great Hall was absolutely stunning and magical! I had many guests ask me how much extra I had to pay for the lighting and draping. My experience with Stone Gate Weddings and Events was nothing short of spectacular. After researching several reception venues, my husband and I chose Stone Gate because of its location, style, and ability to accommodate our large group of family members and friends. It ended up being one of the best decisions we made in regards to planning the wedding. Jenn S., our wedding planner, was fantastic to work with. She walked my mother and me through every minute of the reception, asking questions and offering suggestions to help understand what I wanted. She and her team were so flexible and willing to help, whether it was rescheduling consultations or following up on vendors and other details. We had planned to hold the reception in the Grand Ballroom, however last minute circumstances a few days before the wedding meant that the reception needed to be moved to the Great Hall. Jenn and her team were rock stars through the entire transition, putting my mind at ease and carefully attending to every detail. The result was a gorgeous evening where everything went off without a hitch. Jenn was there the entire time, from the early evening set up and decorating to the send off at the end of the night. We held my daughter's wedding reception at Stone Gate in the Great Hall. It was absolutely the BEST! Stone Gate took all the worries out of the day and my husband and I were able to really enjoy our daughter's wedding stress-free. The venue is gorgeous and the staff is prepared for anything. Stone Gate truly pulled off magic for my wedding. Their packages include a lot of options and they already have good relationships with a lot of vendors in the valley. However, they are also very flexible and that was my main reason for choosing to have my wedding there. They were absolutely willing to help me bring my visions to life. Milli was my coordinator and was wonderful to work with. She was always so positive and professional, even when I was stressing out or unsure of something. I had my ceremony in their brand new chapel and the reception in the ballroom. Both rooms were absolutely gorgeous and the bride's room that I was in was super cute. I also had their catering do a buffet dinner which the guests loved. I ended up getting a little bit nauseous during the reception because of nerves and Milli was so sweet that she went and got me some Sprite and some chewable antacids to calm my stomach down. I knew that Stone Gate was going to be a good venue, but everything far exceeded my expectations on the actual day of my wedding. It couldn't have been more perfect for us! read more
