It is somewhat of a hidden gem, and you may need to drive or walk around a bit to find it. It consists of one building filled with memorabilia and signs from the doo-wop era of the city. It was free when we visited (June 2025) and is more of a quick pitstop than an event or experience that will take hours. We must have spent maximum 30 minutes there. Great way to see something different than typical beach town activities, like mini-golf and beach bumming. Perfect way to pass some time on a rainy day, like it was during our trip.

The reason I don't understand is I had known Randy for years and, and we were in there and he thought I was taking a picture when I was texting my pet sitter. He came up to me telling me to stop and he acted like he didn't believe me. Anyway, later I saw a Facebook post someone put on there about taking pictures. I added to that asked him why he didn't allow it because people adding photos of the old machines to their reviews could get him more business, and next thing you know I was blocked. You don't need to go somewhere for fun and be followed around by spies and getting an asthma attack from the mold. Save your money.

When we were planning a visit to my home state, New Jersey, we wanted to go to Wildwood to play Fascination. It is two hours from where we were staying, but we had never been there. So, we looked up the hours, planned our trip, and got there when it was supposed to be open - after 4pm on a Thursday. The place was closed. We lost a whole day of our vacation trying to get to this place, and from what we could see looking in from the outside, the arcade looks more like a storage unit. A total and complete mess. After this unfortunate, eye opening experience, I honestly don't have many kind words for the people who own and run this place. The nicest thing I can say is, they've got a lot of work to do.

Since it was built in 1895, this facility has been in continuous service to our country…read more First as Life Saving Station #36, then as Coast Guard Station #132 and now as American Legion Post 331. It is on the State and National Historic Registries and serves additionally as a museum honoring the history of the Life Saving Service, the Coast Guard and our military. It is the oldest building in Stone Harbor and can be visited during the summer months daily except for Sunday and Wednesday from 10am until 2pm and of course on NJ Lighthouse Challenge weekend. We got here on the Saturday of Lighthouse Challenge weekend about a half an hour before they closed at 6pm and were gassed by this point so unfortunately we didn't give this place the once over that it deserved. The downstairs is a bizarre mix of active Legion Hall things along with some very beautiful paintings/murals on the walls which the artist's interpretation of various shipwreck scenarios with life saving equipment in use. They also had a few tables with postcards, Legion and Lighthouse memorabilia for sale. At some point we'll come back to see the second floor and to spend more time.

Each room is meticulously sorted by departments ranging from Police, fireman, lifeguard services, even hospital and education. They have thousands of records going back over a century. This particular shop located in Avalon had quite a large collection of Dr. Seuss drawings, paintings & sculptures. It was recommended to us after we made an initial stop at their sister gallery in Stone Harbor. Along with the artwork were many posters giving insight into the man, Theodor Suess Geisel. I highly recommend both of these galleries. It's a great day trip for a beautiful summer day.

I had been…read morelooking for something as a birthday gift for my husband and was challenged in finding just the right thing. Josh was exceptionally helpful in identifying a desired backdrop for the artwork (a local map) and coordinating with Mr. Hallam to commission an original piece. Josh worked with me effortlessly to not only procure the artwork but also did a beautiful job framing and shipping the artwork to us. My husband loves the piece and it is so very special to us. And Josh could not have been more communicative and responsive throughout the entire process. If we need anything else, we will absolutely reach out to him.

Took a day trip specifically to check out the Peter Max exhibit at this Stone Harbor gallery…read more Although the hours stated they were open at 10 a.m. and we arrived close to 11 the doors were locked. Thankfully I did see people inside so I called the gallery and the woman was nice enough to let us in. It was the last day of the Peter Max exhibit so many of the works had been sold but there were still a few on display. What most impressed me however was the rest of the art in the gallery. They had some absolutely gorgeous glass pieces! It was unfortunate I did not get to the gallery sooner for Peter Max art but I am very happy I saw what I did.
