Whatever you do please DO NOT rent here! We've had repeated issues with our air conditioning, and this most recent experience has been incredibly frustrating. Even after maintenance said the system was repaired, our apartment continued to get uncomfortably hot inside. The AC was blowing air, but the indoor temperature kept rising instead of staying at the thermostat setting. We reported the issue multiple times through the resident portal and had maintenance come out more than once, but the problem was not resolved. We ended up having to stay in a hotel because our apartment became too hot to comfortably live in. The lack of communication and urgency was disappointing. As residents paying our rent on time, we expected the issue to be properly diagnosed and fixed instead of having to repeatedly report the same problem. Overall, this experience has been stressful and exhausting. I hope management improves both the quality of maintenance repairs and communication with residents, because no one should have to deal with ongoing AC problems during the Texas summer. Not only that but we moved in AFTER the renovation so tell me why when we got our keys we already had issues with things breaking this is absolutely the worst apartment I've ever rented at, I am in complete disbelief... read more

I'm deeply disappointed with how Stone Hill Apartments handles tenant safety and security concerns. Recently, a resident here broke into multiple cars, and when we tried to share this information on the community board to alert others, management denied our post. It feels like they care more about maintaining appearances than actually protecting their tenants. Residents deserve transparency and communication about safety issues, especially when it involves criminal activity on the property. Ignoring or silencing these concerns doesn't make the problem go away--it only makes tenants feel unheard and unsafe. I've been a resident for 2 years, I've seen management come and go. Never been late on my rent, regardless of what I was going through personally. This is a unbiased opinion and might I'm say I'm completely dissatisfied. For starters if my information serves me correct, the complex was built in 1982 and it shows. Regardless of them "remodeling" which is basically taking out the old carpet and putting in new carpet and painting over bumps and bruises in the wall like they pretty much do everything else, countertops, cabinets etc. The age in my apartment definitely shows. In the summer that I moved here regardless of me running my AC at the lowest temp, buying black out curtains, and cleaning my filter on the regular it still tends to get to 87 degrees in my apartment. In the winter time vice versa I run the heat at 75 and when I go down stairs it's 43 degrees. This shows that the insulation here is horrible. And it will kick your a** when it comes to your electric bill. When it rains my roof leaks from 2 areas. I submitted a service request and while the maintenance team was quick to diagnose the problem, they never came back with a solution. So till this day the roof still leaks when it rains and if I'm not home to catch it with a bowl guess where it goes ? Right ! Straight into the carpet. Next is Appliances, the whirlpool dishwasher was the first to go but it too was made in 04 based off the model number. The cooktop was second to go once again I've put in service request and although they come to change out eyes on the cooktop they still don't work. They also have piss poor a piss poor exterminator that comes and sits at the rental office expecting you to come tell him if you need you apartment exterminated. I had a problem with sugar ants coming from the outlets. He will proceed to tell you you have roaches. Now I would like to state that I run a sanitation and cleaning company to make my living here. So I'll just let that sit. Let's get on the common areas, I stopped washing my clothes here because one day as I was going to wash my clothes there was a pair of sh*tty underwear in the washing machine just sitting also, even though you have a key anyone can take anything out of your washer or dryer. There's an issue with stray cats that probably carry some type of diseases and here's why, someone is feeding the cats every morning and giving them shelter but for your dog or cat expect to pay the $350 pet fee and show shot records and if the stray cats injure your pet expect them not to be held responsible for the stray cats that they're housing. Also expect the laundry area under the leasing office to smell like cat spray. If you don't know what that is, when you walk toward the laundry room you definitely will. Because the cats hang out so close to the pool. It makes me think that the pool is unsanitary as well. Now for the grand finale, we underwent a intense winter storm causing the water go out on the 17th regardless of the daily updates of them "working so hard alongside contractors" it is now the 24th and they estimate that the water might be back on by the 26th. I called to see if there would be any type of reimbursement or prorated water since it's included in the rent and I was told by someone who answered the phone that she doesn't think they will being doing anything for their tenants. Regardless of the water being off half the month and the problem being out fo the tenants hands. Bottom line is you get what you pay for when it comes to the rent being cheap. This has just become So where to sleep until my lease is up. This is nowhere near a home I can actually relax and be comfortable in. Honestly it's going to cost you more in the long run to live here so simply find somewhere where you get a little more bang for your buck and where the management actually cares about the tenants will being. It has been a month since the snow storm when I put in a work order (2/23/21) for weather stripping around the front door and for my stove top to be replaced haven't heard anything from any of the office management or maintenance team and there is a fat ass hole in the ceiling infront of my apartment. Overall everyone has been helpful. No serious issues . When I call they take care of it and then some . My car got towed and a portion of it was their fault and mostly mine but they corrected it just because. I just moved here from a one bedroom that I paid $1200 a month for . This apartment complex is by far The WORST I've ever lived in and I live in Killeen,TX so there isn't many good options here. There are roaches all over the place! And please don't step outside you might find yourself in a pile of dog poop. The manager Courtney fritz could care less about our problems. Put in maintenance request for a broken dishwasher and they came a MONTH later! When my lease was up I moved so fast I couldn't I think, OH and don't think about writing a review while you're living there. LADIES BEWARE!!!! THIS IS LONG BUT PLEASE READ!! When I tell you this place is garbage, I'm actually insulting the garbage. Sadly and horrifically my daughter endured an attack I would never wish upon any woman. The incident occurred in one of the community areas one late evening. To add insult to injury I called the office on my daughter's behalf to report the incident and in an effort to discuss things I requested to come by and speak in person. The woman that greeted us at the door stood there looking all types of annoyed because I was asking to speak with whom I spoke On the phone. She cut her neck at me and said "I'm an assistant manager how Can I help you?". Right there OUTSIDE the office I had to start explaining again what happened. She cut me off, verified some info with my daughter and then looking directly at her says, "ok well this is your lease which you signed that clearly states the resident is responsible for their own safety." OMG I could not believe that!! I said "you know I would understand that statement to a degree if it happened in her apt but it didn't, it happened in a community area that is very dimly lit, and as we now see are invitations for attacks". She then proceeded to tell me she isn't sure what else they can do besides advise us to call the police. That woman and those standing in the office with her should be ashamed of themselves as humans and especially as WOMEN!! TWO DAYS LATER the manager called and stated an incident report had to be filed and that can only be done by her. She stated she had not been in the office since before our encounter previously stated. Well, then that horrible excuse of a woman should have said that instead of victim blaming my daughter and clearly didn't think this was important enough and could wait till her boss came back to the office. Anywhere but here!! These apartments have ridiculous rules you have to follow or you will get fined. Crooked parking, keeping your dog on patio for a few hours, and leaving on the porch light too long are all qualified for $100 fines. Not kidding you. If you don't mind paying outrageous fines for miner inconveniences then this is perfect place for you. Not to mention how rude the staff is when they go door to door serving everyone fines because they don't know who is at fault. All they care about is your money. I can't wait until my lease is up. Ever since me and my family have moved in here, it's been nothing but a maintenance nightmare. Never have I ever experienced this type of unsanitary, unprofessional , inconsiderate type of service as I have experienced here at these apartments. Be warned if you don't want to get sick or your kids get sick and you don't want a high stress level experience with living conditions, I advise you to look elsewhere for a better life. Emergency work orders do not exist here, no one has ever shown up when I called or left a message. I have had to move from one unit to another because of A/C problems the first time around. And when I moved into what I thought was a better apartment was even worse. My ceiling has a leak and it's been over two months since anything was even done. The water is contaminated and stinks really bad and makes your clothes, and towels stink too. We had to order a drinking water service just so we didn't have to get sick. There are roaches and ant problems as well, and we have had to make work orders for the garbage disposal problems, and even had to beg to get a new stove because the maintenance man was too lazy to fix it right after three times that I put work order after work order in. The manager tried to make things better by reassuring us and apologizing like a million times, and even flat out lied about reimbursing us for the last four days of the month that we paid for, due to the A/C vents getting worked on. We are having to move because of continuous maintenance nightmares. Save yourself the hassle and don't waste your time or money on this place. We have done everything we could to be patient and be professional about not losing our minds here and getting out of line with the staff and maintenance workers. I would have rather lived in a homeless shelter that have had to experience this garbage in my lifetime. I'm very serious folks. Stay away from this place. read more

If i could give zero starts. i can say that cassidy is an amazing person and she actually tries to understand the new woman they made assistant manager "shaena" she is highly disrespectful and does not things done of course was. She refuses to respect me and give me a feeling no female or male would want to see that person trying to flirt that your husband. HORRIBLE PLEASE READ BEFORE MAKING A MISTAKE !!! First apartment my husband and I moved into , and they are horrible !! So blessed to be out of there ! Not only did the horrible maintenance man lie and almost get us kicked out but they kept giving us notices on our door saying to pay or quit because they saw "our dog " shit outside ! When after standing by the window by our front door it turned out to be a husky dog and a small dog from above us ! But because our service dog was a pit bull they did everything to try and kick us out even tho we had paper work and provided it to them prior to move in . ON TOP OF THAT when we had the maintenance guy come to fix our screen door that was broken prior to move in , the maintenance man went back to the office and said we had another dog inside which was a lie . We told the office they could come in whenever they please to prove that the maintenance guy was full of shit and they still were skeptical! This place is absolutely horrible and we are blessed to be out of here ! Be careful for people around there as well my husband and I have got cussed out many times by crazy people just walking by turns out they live there ! Do yourself a favor, avoid the stress- Do Not Rent Here. I have been a tenant for going on 3 years. When I first moved in I didn't have very much issues. In fact when I did Valerie, previous management, was the most helpful and understanding when it came to anything involving my issues. She quit and ever since then I feel like these apartments are even more complete shit. They over charge rent and charge unnecessary fees. The apartments are completely old and need major remodeling. Instead of replacing a old dirty 1980's tub, maintenance will just PAINT over the issue to make it look brand new which then causes you to slip on your ass while taking a shower. My husband and I have put in multiple work orders but it takes almost a week or so until maintenance can "fix" the issues. My garbage disposal hasn't been working for a few days and yet maintenance has yet to stop by to check it out. About a month ago we were having toilet issues due to it constantly running and not flushing. We put in a work order, maintenance never showed up for the issue. I ended up fixing the problem on my own. The only maintenance man that tends to ever fix our issues is Drew. He's wonderful yet management under appreciates him for his hard work. Our dishwasher is completely disgusting. Cabinets are falling apart bc of how old they are. The ceiling in the bathroom is caving in. Patio door wouldn't close right. And outlets will not work properly. You literally have to complain so many times for them to finally fix any of your issues. The ladies who work in the office are completely sweet, especially Danny, and will have a friendly relationship with you. They answer any questions you may have as best as they can. Management on the other hand will completely act rude and ignore you, especially Chana. They are super unprofessional and will lie to your face. They're money hungry and will do anything to charge you extra for rent and late fees. We were late on our rent bc of an unexpected family death that occurred out of town. We turned our rent in on the 4th at around 2:45/3:00pm we were aware that they were already closed yet we rushed back in a hurry trying to avoid any late fees. We thought we completely avoided the fees only come to find out 5 days later we have all of these unnecessary charges. My husband and I don't ever log in on the Stonehill Apt website unless we have to put in a maintenance request. The apartment failed to call us and inform our late fee issue. If they would have informed us come Monday, when the open, we could have avoided spending $110+ on fees. Long story short: Save yourself from the unnecessary hassle and drama. Live somewhere else. These apartments aren't worth all of the money you'll be spending on rent and fees. read more

First off it made me give at least 1 star. This place is garbage. I needed a quick place to stay and they were very nice when i first started. Within a week of living here after i signed everything the customer service went to crap. They say they love soldiers and residents, but honestly they are just out there to get your money. They did not show up to do a move out walk through with me and I was deploying the next day, then they tried charging me the full months rent even though i was only there for 2 days and they said it would be $33. They do not care if residents let their dogs poop everywhere. The apartment building are falling apart and 1 even burnt down and they let it sit in a pile of ruble for 6 months. Doesn't matter how clean you keep your apartment you will STILL have roaches, my apartment is ALWAYS clean and humongous cockroaches still appear even after bombing the apartment several times. Don't refer anyone, you won't get the referral bonus. Break ins, I've had my door kicked in and apartment robbed since I've been here. I've asked multiple times for my apartment to not be entered without tenant letting them in for non-emergency maintenance, they've still done it. Management doesn't care, they don't try to accommodate or offer anything on their behalf. I pay $800 a month to live like this, as soon as I'm able to leave I definitely am. I lived a Stone Hill Apartments for about a year now, and this has to be the most caring place I've ever lived. The most important part is their mantience. The apartments are old, so course there's going to be a few problems sometimes. My A/C went out on the fourth July, and Oscar was here in 10 minutes and it was fixed in under 5 minutes. He works fast and he's very friendly. My cat will get under his feet or sit in his way and Oscar will just talks to him nicely and moves around him. I have never waited longer than 24 hours (I never had to wait 24 hours either, I submit them at night and Oscar is here the next morning) for any maintenance request that I've submitted. The management is just as amazing. I mainly know Dani, but all that I've spoken to have been great. They always ask about how my cat is doing and the call him by his name. They are great with any help that you need. They're also very concerned with the safety of their residents. A couple a months ago, there was a man apparently knocking on people's doors. They had the cops in the area at all times during this and sent out emails, texts, and put a paper notice on all the doors. It told us not to answer our doors to a stranger and to immediately call the cops. I've seen on here that people complained about the pipes bursting in the water. The management does send out emails and texts every time the weather gets to the point to break the pipes. They tell you to make sure the water is dripping for all sinks and showers. I did that every time the sent it out and never had a problem with my pipes. The management will also check to see if the A/C maintenance requests were taken care of. The morning after Oscar very quickly fixed my A/C, I got a call for the management office to see if everything was fixed. My neighbors are fantastic. I have a cat that loves to sit at the window and my neighbors (that all have dogs) adore him. Our neighbors that got a new talkive puppy apologized for her dog, because she was very worried how my cat was responding. The best part? We cannot hear the dog and she lives right below us. read more

I remember when I first moved in I wrote a review about the roach problem the manager came knocking on my door the next morning about my review, saying "you know it's hot outside they're just trying to find some water" what??? So that excuses this horrible bug problem??? They tried to violate my lease ATLEAST 5 times! I kept getting accused of someone living with me because I guess your significant other isn't allowed in the apartment at all? Lol. One time one of my friends was walking my dog on the OTHER SIDE OF THE COMPLEX, a stray pit was messing with my friend and my dog so he put the pit bull in a bathroom by the office and let them know, a couple days later I get an email saying my lease is getting violated for having a dog I didn't tell them about. (The pit bull that was NOWHERE near my apartment). Then I was told "I fellow neighbor complained) please explain to me how a fellow neighbor complained when that situation happened absolutely nowhere near my apartment and if anybody did see the situation by the office how would they know which apartment I live in??? I have been harassed since day one!!! I have an emotional support animal and kept getting harassed about paying the fee if I can't get the doctor note signed, at a point I just payed half of it while I waited on my doctor for them to just leave me alone!! I then turned in all my paperwork for my dog and asked if I could get my dog fee back as it did not apply to my lease, I was told no. I had all required paperwork and everything but was still told no. Now that I have finally moved out here comes the best part, I OWE $400 IN CLEANING FEES!!!! I lived in a small studio apartment BY MY SELF. I had like $40 in damage fees and $400 in cleaning fees?????? I understand the damage whatever but what in the world needed THAT MUCH CLEANING! I was told they could send me pictures since nobody seemed to know what to say over the phone to me, it has now been over a week, I have not received any emails and I have tried calling the office MULTIPLE times and now all of a sudden nobody can answer my calls? If anybody that actually cares about people wants to get back with me that would be amazing. OH YEAH AND LET ME ADD THIS, now all of a sudden my apartment had "flees" that's where the $140 carpet fee came from I take my dog to the vet CONSTANTLY, if he had flees I would know, and they would be with me at my new apartment right now!! My 5 star rating isn't based on the apartments because they are out-dated and not in the best condition. My 5 star rating is based on the customer service I received when touring the complex. Dani is AMAZING. Looking for an apartment is already a stressful task but she made it more enjoyable. She was very helpful and kept me laughing the whole time. I ask a lot of questions and that seems to irriate a lot of leasing agents around here (I am new to the area), but it didn't seem to bother Dani at all. I am a current tenant. The buildings are old and have been very poorly maintained. I submitted multiple work orders 2 weeks ago from today's date (21July16) and none of them have had any work done to them. In fact they closed out the work orders saying they were completed 4 days ago knowing that nothing had been done to fix the issues. I complained to the manager to which she told me someone from maintenence would come by later in the day to fix the issues (leaking & electrical issues) however no one ever came by. Again it has been 2 weeks now and not only has nothing been done, they purposefully lied and said it was completed I'm guessing so that they can stay within the clk multifamily properties regulations. In addition to all of that they forgot to put my girlfriend on the lease and it was a complete hassle having to deal with the management getting that resolved. Not only do I highly advise that no one rent from stonehill, but also not rent from CLK Properties PERIOD! I say this because in order to file a complaint I have to call the regional manager, kitty barry who will not answer or return my calls. These apartments are scandalous and purposefully will try to bleed as much money from you as possible. An example would be that in the contract it says if you wish to have pets you must pay a deposit. So in order for them to get around that they charge a $0 deposit yet charge a 1 time nonrefundable fee of $350 for any pet. The gross negligence of the management, poorly maintained Apartments, cheap fixing of the apartments, and completely scandalous actions by the management by CLK in general combined should be negative 5 stars. If I could rate them that I would. Please learn from my lessons that I had to learn the hard way and do not rent from this apartment complex or CLK in general. read more

DO NOT move into this apartment complex! Moved here in December and it has been hell ever since. The plumbing is a piece of crap, every time I turn the faucets on it sounds as if a train is going by at Grand Central Station. My toilet would not flush whatsoever a few weeks back and they sent their so called maintenance man to fix it, WOW, he brought in everything in this apartment, except holy water. He even dragged in a muddy vacuum cleaner to suck the water, I guess. He carried dirty water throughout the apartment and then asked me if I'm had towels or gloves. I gave him a towel and he took it upon himself to use the remainder towels in the bathroom. During the time he was operating on the toilet it had to be uprooted because "looks like someone poured sand or something down the drain." "Do you have any kids?" If I had kids, where in the world would they find sand at this forsaken complex? Ok, the toilet had to be uprooted because it was needing to be replaced. HE SAT THE OLD TOILET KNI MY BATHTUB!!! He left the toilet in the tub for hours!, I had to go to the unprofessional staff at the office who have the demeanor as if you are a nit wit, with the brain capacity of an M&M. She had to call the maintenance man back, ask him to remove toilet from tub. He was pissed off, I guess I was ruining his day too! He jumped in his van sped to my apartment, while I was still walking from office. It took me one minute to get to my apartment and what do I see? The old toilet sitting outside of my door. A day later the maintenance man comes back and asks to recheck the toilet to see if something is wrong because the neighbors down stairs are complaining of a leak. He goes in and out of my apartment for almost an hour, no knocking just opening and closing the door. Another incident was my AC, I called....and called.....and called....their response was; "If it's not 80 degrees outside, then it is not an emergency" ..... If it's 80 degrees outside then, that means it's 90 degrees INSIDE!!! This went on for 2 weeks!!! Once again they were SO inconvenienced by having to send someone out to work! Another incident, NO HOT WATER, TWICE!!! I am at my wits end with these people! They sent someone out to reset a heating element, that worked for one day. The next day I jumped in the shower before work, COLD NIAGARA FALLS SHOWER, was what I was working with. I was so frustrated and in tears!! I called and spoke with the most fake staff member in that office and she was so "appalled".."whaaaat?...omg.....that is SO crazy!" "Wow, ok let me transfer you to management".
