    Delicious chocolates

Adorable, quaint little tea house with a nice selection of teas and chocolates. I loved everything about our visit to this little shop tucked away in Middlebury. The menu had detailed descriptions of each tea making it easy to choose from their expansive list of interesting teas. I was interested in their tasting for two, but we ultimately had our own tea of hot and cold. It's a tea house, but the chocolates should get some recognition. Amazingly delicious. I wish I tried them all. Tea and chocolate lovers, you must pay a visit here.

I'm doing the Japanese language program at Middlebury this summer, so I basically spend all of my waking hours studying. On Saturdays, I like to come here and sit with my laptop, sip endless cups of tea, and eat the occasional chocolate goodie. This place really does have a great ambiance and a really nice tea selection. Their summer iced teas are just what I need on a hot day, and I love that they give you bottomless hot water so you can get 10 infusions from a pu-ehr tea, or 7 from an oolong (for example). Oh, and their cinnamon rooibos was incredibly good. It contained fresh cinnamon. Don't be afraid if you don't really know tea- the staff are very kind and would be happy to help you pick one out. A couple of notes- no AC, but it's rarely hot enough in there, even during the worst of the summer, to be a problem. Also, they don't take credit cards, so if you don't have cash, duck into the pharmacy right behind them, where you can get cash back with any purchase. Also, they prefer if you bring your own to-go cup, but they do have glass jars for you to take with you if you'd like, say, an iced tea for the road- and they're happy if you bring them back. They were willing to let me keep a tab here if I'd be back (how kind is that?) but I went and fetched some cash at the pharmacy to pay them with. A good quiet place to work with free wireless. Worth the trek.

I walk in and see a dog. Who would bring a dog into a business like that. The lady that asked me what i wanted continued to gossip with her friends and swear at the handicap guy. the dog jumped on me. This is a business not a local hangout. I asked if she was the owner and she said no the manager. needless to say i got my drink which was delicious but the environment is far from pleasant. LOUD AND RUDE. I was overwhelmed. There was absolutely no information about what I was ordering on the menu other than a "flavor" and when I asked I was informed that it was an Herbalife product. I appreciated this transparency so I could proceed to research the ingredients in this mystery drink. The top ingredients are some of the worst things being used in food today: Soy protein, sunflower oil (one of the worst seed oils on the market today), corn syrup, casein, maldodextrin... These are highly toxic, estrogen overloading, and cancer causing. It tasted like poison and it is. There is not one thing in this drink that comes from nature. Do yourself a favor and just don't replace your meal with this. You're better off getting a pastry that's made with real food that is not made in a lab.
