Absolutely abysmal experience. Used vendor as Lowe's countertop installer for a 12+k quartz installation. Vendor took weeks to come out and measure and would only make appts on Mondays- and wouldn't give a range for time until literally the day prior. Then took weeks for the change order to "be available" "because software isn't working to accept it". They never called me for weeks- I had to pester them for the appt. Then there was no appt for weeks- but they were going to do it all the same day on a Monday- so we again had to take the day off work. Then the week before it was to be installed, they texted another appt date randomly for the following Monday. When I called, they said they had split the delivery into two dates and assigned the following Monday "automatically". They would give no reason and basically said it was our problem and if we couldn't also take that day off as well, we could cancel but they would keep the $2500 deposit but return the rest. They also told us that we would have to "notch the island cabinets yourselves". I will never, EVER use them again and I absolutely 0/10 would not recommend them to anyone. read more

I am not sure where to even start. We landed with these losers through Costco, a company I have considerably less respect for now. It turns out that the salespeople have no idea about how countertops are installed. Nor does the separate team that comes to "officially" measure. And it turns out that the third team, the so-called installers, don't either.  When we finally made the third appointment for the actual installation, I made note that they did not say anything about disconnecting the plumbing because I thought it was something we were supposed to do. Fast forward to the *first* team of installers arriving. Thankfully, I had a friend at the house who could disconnect the faucet. Then the guys realized that they had no idea how to remove the original, 60-year-old, countertops. So they left us to figure it out, which our handyman did, at additional cost to us. (And understand that we had no choice because we had to pay for everything up front, which we only did because it was Costco.) Today the *second* team of installers came. I have been ill so I stayed with the dogs while my husband dealt with the installers. An hour or so after they left, we got a call from Stone Systems. The woman started by saying that they were unable to install the countertops. I told her, no, that they *had* installed the countertops. Then she kept on with clearly wrong information until I just blurted out, "what the fuck?!" and handed the phone to my husband. Apparently, we need to talk to "Doug", who has more computer access than she does. The topic of our reimbursement for the countertop removal came up and she mentioned $150. I stopped the convo at that point and made it clear that it cost more than that. That is something else Doug has to handle.  A bit later, I went into the kitchen to make tea and was greeted by my shiny new countertops along with gaps big enough for my entire finger to fit through between them and the wall. Technician measured countertop and forgot to add proper overhang, even though we discussed the island overhang in depth. After asking him if he got the overhang measurement we wanted he said yes, I messed up and didn't double check his honesty and signed. Now we are stuck with it according to this company. Technician measured our kitchen for new countertops and we spoke 3 times about the overhang we wanted on two sides of the island. Technician insisted he understood and had the measurements correct. But, when they came to install the countertops, the island overhang was wrong...only had overhang on one side. Now they say we are stuck as is or we can pay full price to order a new island countertop. Customer service person was rude and not helpful. We will not use Stone Systems for any future projects. I did not have much of a choice as they are through Home Depot. I would not recommend them. The install people are polite, nice and knowledgeable. The vanity countertop installed fine. However, they damaged the wall (no answer or solution when asked about repair), sawdust was everywhere inside and outside the cabinetry and fingers prints are all over the cabinetry. They did not offer to clean it up until I ask for a shop vac and still they did not clean the cabinets. Everything is this bathroom is brand new and freshly painted. When they reached out to find how the install went, I explained the above with pictures. There response was only via text (cowards) no proper phone call to address anything. The answer was completely unacceptable in their work ethic, trying to say this happens it does happen but you take responsibility for it and address it. Should have checked these awful reviews before allowing my deck contractor to use Stone Systems. Zero accountability which I've noticed is the theme between all sub par companies. Installed our Dekton countertops unevenly which caused the weight of the grill to chip BOTH corners of the counter tops!! Zero accountability until we badgered them for months. They finally agreed to do a Dekton repair kit instead of replacing it, and now it looks MUCH WORSE. Again zero accoutability. Do not get your countertops installed by this company. Ever. Home Depot uses them as their installer for some unknown reason. The ppl that show up are unprofessional and not versed in installing countertops or dealing with customers. If I could give negative stars I would. They damaged our front door carrying in the countertops and never said anything, used standard caulk to fix the backsplashes to unfinished drywall, did not cut the product properly to fit flush against the wall, left a mountain of quartz dust splattered all over our mailbox and sidewalk, and to add insult to injury used no (yes, i said no) adhesive, silicone or otherwise, to affix the joined back splash behind our sink. They basically joined the seam, then propped up the joined pieces of quartz by fixing the left and right side backsplashes in place with caulk, again, onto unfinished drywall (see photo I grabbed from the video we took). I left several messages with Caroline from Stone Systems over a week and a 1/2 and never received a call back. Finally I just gave up. In the end I corrected all their mistakes and did the install myself. Our experience was textbook blatant incompetence. We have had home projects done over the years and I can firmly say that there is no company I trust less than Stone Systems. read more

He said that it would be 3 weeks for the countertop to be installed. 1 month and one week later, they show up to install but oops wrong measurement for the sink, Installers left and we're in limbo again. So far- not so good- first there was an issue with our templating appointment (we purchased through Home Depot and then this company reaches out), so then that was delayed. Last week they contacted to schedule the installation but yesterday I received an automated text asking to install a week later than was scheduled. On top of that it's near impossible to reach anyone, I've been on hold as long as an hour before giving up on anyone answering. I've tried calling over and over and never reach anyone. Avoid if possible using them.- will update if I ever talk to a person Update: while it took two full days and dozen of calls I finally reached a person to sort out our scheduling, which turned out to be an error on their side of not putting us on the schedule when they had first contacted us. The install went flawlessly and the installers were professional and the counters look great- so that side of things is good! Last week Tuesday, I received a chipped countertop. Was told that someone would be out Friday to replaced. I been fighting with Home Depot ever since. I have NO kitchen sink since that is the counter that was chipped. Today I have been on hold for over an hour to speak to someone finally someone comes on an tells me that I'm not on the schedule after Home Depot told me Monday or Tuesday of this week. DO NOT EVER ORDER OR DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. Whether with HOME DEPOT OR DIRECTLY. I ordered new counter tops from Home Depot. That was our first mistake. The ONLY THING that was good was our salesman at Home Depot. If I had known that Stone Systems was the place they sub contracted with, I would have gone elsewhere. I had no idea I could see the reviews. I spent a small fortune to say the least. Getting our measurement time coordinated was a nightmare. Then scheduling the actual install was the worst. Rita, the woman I spoke to was HORRIBLE. She was rude and condescending. Not at all a pleasant person. When our counter tops were finally ready. One of the large pieces came with a decent size chip and a spider-like crack. They didn't bother to check it before leaving their shop, and I was assured this piece was already broken at their shop. It wasn't an accident that happened in transit. So, rather than immediately getting on the phone and calling the shop, the installer told me he had to fix it here and I wouldn't notice it. I said no, I wanted a NEW PIECE. Then he offered again to "fix it" because I could wait a long while for a new one. The first time, as nice as they were, the two installers barely spoke English and I had a hard time explaining that I wanted a new piece. I had to make sure they called the shop before they left to get an answer. They took the piece and left me without a countertop for weeks. I told him to leave the backsplash pieces but he wouldn't and wouldn't tell me why he couldn't leave them. They also refused to re-attach the dishwasher to the cabinet, which I was assured they would by Home Depot. So, of course, when I FINALLY got the date for the second install, I asked them to make sure they had the backsplashes. Well, wouldn't you know it, they didn't have the backsplashes when they arrived. So, they installed the countertop and I would have to wait another two/three weeks for them to be re made. So, one day my doorbell camera goes off and there they are at my house. I had no idea they were coming. I was out. But when I got back home the pieces were sitting at my front door. I called to have them installed and Carl had the nerve to tell me I had to wait another two weeks. NOPE, I wasn't waiting. The next set of installers came two days later. Wouldn't ya know, the pieces were too big and had to be re-cut. FINALLY my counters are done. Meanwhile EVERY TIME they were scheduled to arrive they were supposed to text me when they were a half hour out..... However, every time, they texted my husband's phone, even after I told them over and over to call mine. This place is horrible. The left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing. There is crap communication between the office folks and the installers. Don't ever do business with these people. It will be the worst mistake. read more

One of worst experiences I've had with my home renovation. They seemed to have no consideration for my time because they told me to expect installers on a Monday in a 4 hour time window, but no one showed up. The next morning I get a call saying that it wasn't scheduled and would send someone out that day. When the installers arrived, the measurements were wrong so I had to wait for a new countertop to be cut. If I hadn't called to find out they didn't have the pieces to cut it, I don't know if they would have informed me. The next time they scheduled an appointment it was for the early morning. I called that morning to check that they were still coming, but again they had forgotten to schedule an installer to come out. They arranged for someone to come out later that day. That's three days of missing work during a pandemic when I need to make money. TLDR; missed three days of work due to installation scheduling and incorrectly measured countertops. Sorry for the long post, I just feel like people should know if their time is going to be respected before they use a service. read more

First off the installers did not speak fluent English. The seam they installed is per Stones guide lines. You can judge for yourself. Customer service called a week after install and asked if we were satisfied. That was the last call I received. Went to Home depot a couple weeks ago and had a chat with their rep. Was told they were going to look into my complaints. Haven't heard back yet. I don't think we will. Very,very sorry we started this project with Stone Systems and Home depot. So we bought another sink and had to wait another month. Then they showed up to finally install and couldn't because a plumber had not come right before they did. They never mentioned anything about a plumber in all of the calls and texts during all of the delays. Can't say this about most of these type companies but they always returned our phone calls and even allowed us to see the patterns and inspect the giant granite slabs before cutting! When we had what was to us an important issue the top person in marketing and production came 40 miles to our house to personally inspect the installation and made a few changes to our complete satisfaction. We had kitchen counters installed by Stone Systems in Raleigh - the scheduling was quick, the stone quality was as expected, and the counter fit appropriately, but that's about all that's gone right. Our wood cabinets were damaged and broken in multiple places after the removal of the old countertop and installation of the new one. Unfortunately the company continues to pass off responsibility from one person to the next and it's been months with limited meaningful follow up. Multiple 'managers' have been out to see the damage, taken pictures, and agreed the damage needed fixing and that we would be contacted the next day. One crew came out to fix the damage and said it was 'more than they were prepared to handle that day' and we have not been able to get anyone to help us again since. I've called, left messages, emailed, and nothing. This company is clearly being evasive. I have filed a claim with Home Depot, who we booked the service through, and they have already been more responsive than this company has been. Decent experience when they wanted our money, poor experience executing and completing the job. Even worse experience with customer engagement and integrity. I just want to be contacted to make this right in a timely manner, otherwise I will continue to actively seek a resolution and not recommend this company. read more

We only use this company because we bought our countertop at Lowes. They have already been here 3 times and the 1st time the countertop was made incorrectly, and the installer told us the measurements were not quite right so they would have had to come back anyway. They are always late , never call that they they are coming. When they came back the countertop was not cut right and the installers trimmed it by hand on site?? The cut on one of the pieces was obviously not straight, but I didn't notice untill the sealant they put down had dried. I called and they told me to send pictures, which I did. No one followed up , so I called again and the installers arrived 2 hrs past the appointment again. I showed them the piece which clearly shows a curved line against the cabinet which is 1/4 inch , very obvious. They were trying to get around fixing it, but they took the piece with them ....they said to "match" it. Well it's a quartz top and it does NOT have to be matched as they are all the same. I think they are probably going to just trim it down which will make the gap too wide . Between the range. I called the company and I just get a recording that my phone number is not associated with an order and I can't get a hold of anyone.its been at least two weeks. STAY AWAY!!!!! Initial installation took a bit over a month for the measure after contracting with home Depot. Then another month for the install. Countertops came in with gouges, spots flaking off, not cleaned,and not sealed. Called company, sent inspector out, one week later he came out. Agreed there were many issues they would call me. One week later, I called them back. We had to go through the warranty process...another inspector had to come out. After many, many back and forth calls it took almost 5 weeks to get him out...partially because they sent him to Florida cause the guy down there was on vacation????? He finally arrived, agreed many issues. We then had to drive back to Raleigh to pick new slabs. 18 days we finally had new counter tops. They are gorgeous, but what a hassle .. read more

We purchased our counter tops through Lowes and were told that this was the company that would be installing them based off our selection. After looking at all of the negative reviews we were very nervous because both the wife and I are fairly particular and keep a clean home. When the two gentlemen showed up to install 65 square feet of counter top though, it went great! They were professional and polite, and did a very thorough job, making sure not to damage or scratch the back splash and cabinets I had just put in. I had one area where I had to do some drywall touch up because the countertop/ledge actually goes into the drywall about 1" either way, but those complaining about minuscule things like that need to stop being lazy and put some effort into their own home. I was very pleased with the customer service from this company and would have no reservations about using them again. read more

I purchased quartz countertop through Lowe's. The vendor for the countertops was Stone Systems. The one thing I can say positive about the experience is the countertops look good now that they are installed. Everything else about the experience was trash. I paid for the countertops and a week later the vendor still had not reached out to schedule an installation date. I actually had to contact customer service at Lowe's to have them contact Stone Systems. When the subcontractors arrived they asked where my drop in sink was. I explained to them that when I paid for the countertops I decided to go with an undermount sink instead of the drop in. They informed me that they would not be able to install my kitchen countertops that day because they needed to take the countertop back to be cut for an undermount sink. They did install my bathroom sink countertops. When I inquired if they were going to put the little piece of metal back that bracketed my mirrors. The subcontractor rather nastily replied I was supposed to have removed that too. I let him know I was only told to remove the mirror... he replied that the bracket was part of the mirror. The sub contractor also busted some of the door trim in my master bath while removing the old counters. They left a ton of dust from the countertops in front of my townhouse with no effort to clean it up. So when they left I immediately contacted Lowe's customer service and they of course just took notes. The next day a Stone Systems manager contacted me and questioned if I had actually paid for an undermount sink. Which was insulting. The customer service rep assigned to me from Lowe's also called back to say they didn't know when my countertops would be installed. Stone Systems and Lowe's each blamed the other for the miscommunication. Meanwhile, I was unable to use my kitchen for nearly a week because they took the old sink so I couldn't even have the plumbing reconnected. Lowe's barely apologized for the inconvenience and didn't even offer a discount much less a partial refund for the headache. Once the vendors returned and installed the kitchen countertops they did not use the bar supports that I paid for. So I questioned Lowe's customer service about that as well. After some back and forth with Stone Systems and the store sales rep Lowe's agreed I was owed a $200 refund. It has been a week and the refund has not yet been issued. I would not use Stone Systems under any circumstances. Their installers failed to install my sinks properly, left a water valve open, didn't clean up after themselves, left a sink without a fastener that almost fell on a plumber's head, and never once apologized for their failures. On our kitchen counter top project, first they made a measurement error that would have required on site trimming of the solid surface material. Next, they did not inform me that the first row of tile backsplash had to be removed in order for their sub contracted installers to install the countertop. This was 2 days before Christmas and I had removed everything from all kitchen cabinets. When the installers arrived they determined the material measurements were incorrect per the drawing. I verified this myself. Next, because I had to remove the back splash myself they would not wait and said they would reschedule for after Christmas. We put everything back into the kitchen in prep for hosting family at our house for Christmas dinner. Unloaded cabinets again, taking time off from work and the install was performed. However, Stone Systems did not communicate to their sub contractor that extra material had been allowed because we were replacing the existing oven. They installed and left before i noticed one of the corner angles was way off, over 1 inch. Also, they refused to perform any simple additional work so they left 3, 1x 2 supports from the previous countertops sticking out about 16 inches. I called to complain about the angles and lack of comunication between Stone Systems and their sub and me, the customer. I took more time off from work to allow the sub to recut the counter top and trim the supports. He also took measurements for the backsplash. This was around Jan 6. By mid January I confirmed with Stone Systems that 1-I wanted them to use matching, 1/4 inch material to relace the backsplash; and 2-that I expected them to pay for it due to all of the trouble I had gone through due to their poor communication and planning with their sub. In early February Stone Systems CS manager told me the sub had the material and they were going to fabricate it and would contact me as soon as it was ready. After no response I called Stone Systems on March 10, they said the material was still awaiting fabrication. This is 1/4 inch thick, 4 inch wide material...an easy job. I was promised a phone call by 3/11, today is 3/17. They have not called and my request for call backs have been ignored. I spoke directly with one of their representatives, two times who promised to give the messages directly to the firt the CS manager, next to his manager. Still not contact. These people are totally incompetent when it comes to project planning, execution, and following up on complaints that are totally their fault. I could not be more dissapointed. I had an extremely good experience with Stone Systems. They were contracted by Home Depot to install our granite counter tops. Though Home Depot made a few snafu's, Stone Systems took responsibility and drove issues to resolution. The install looks fabulous, the gentleman extremely courteous and professional. Jena Neal (Sales Executive) even came by during install to check progress and to assure I was pleased. She provided her card in event any issues arise. We went to Home Depot to inquire about granite. Home Depot was very accommodating. We got off on the wrong foot with Stone Systems of Raleigh. Lines of communication can get messed up and the manager that comes out to check the job after they finish installing the granite, could have done better (get out a tape measure and check counter height). Stone Systems of Raleigh is very hard working from start to finish. With that being said, the company took a while but kept to their word and came out to fix the counter height on both sides of stove. You can't reach them. The recording says how important customer service is to them and then no one is available. LIES folks!!!! A couple of weeks when I did reach them they tried to convince me they call and number was no good, but was unable to answer why they didn't call the second number provided them and leave a message. Horrible experience. I ordered Dekton countertop and backsplash through Home Depot on 07-29-2017. The first install attempt didn't occur until 09-15-2017 and everything was wrong. I was left without a usable kitchen until 10-31-2017 when they finally got the countertop installation correct, after 5 attempts at installing the countertop, except for 1 bad seam. On 12-15-2017 I cancelled the remaining order for backsplash after numerous excuses and delays and no offer of discount for my inconvenience. Customer Service and communication is extremely poor. I have had to call every week just to get updates and in many cases it took several weeks just to schedule a measurement. read more

This 'visit' involved a Home Depot order of a new counter upgrade for my Cave. I went with a quartz/granite counter versus the laminate countertop that previously existed. When I placed the order I had not gone into the shop but instead took details via email and phone. Customer service seemed pretty friendly. I was given a gentle 'upsell' from the technician for Stone Systems that I buy an under-mount sink instead of the top-mount white porcelain sink currently installed. He didn't actually tell me to buy from him or his company but just do the research before I finalized my counter order where they'd cut my granite. So I looked around and realized that do keep a modern look the under-mount was indeed the better presentation. The same technician told me that I would be able to call in and let them know my decision if I changed my mind to the under-mount sink. Four days later, with the decision made and the new sink ordered, I placed a call to Stone Systems. The lady on the phone whose name I can't remember now told me it was too late to change my counter order since the slab was on the cutting room floor. No matter how many times I told her what the tech had told me she said it was impossible and refused to go and check the slab status. Finally, exasperated, I asked for the manager or supervisor on duty. When the next woman came on the phone I was greeted politely and placed on hold When she came back she told me the slab had not been cut yet and the new dimensions could be applied but my order would be put back at the end of the queue. I had no problem with that. When the technicians arrived to install my counter-top they did the job quickly and efficiently. There was even an issue with the current floor cabinets where the spacing was wrong and the previous installer did a piss-poor job of leveling. As the installers weren't allowed by policy to make cabinetry changes they did take it upon themselves to ingeniously alter the install so that the cabinets worked for the new counter-top. Cleanup was completely done and I am the proud owner of a stellar-snow quartz counter-top. Horrible experience with this company! They installed my counter top on February and one of the pieces was in wrong direction. I called them many many times they always said they will call me back, but never did it. Now it is June already. I could choose 0 if there is one. I did my kitchen renovation with Home Depot, they have the contract with this company. I will contact home depot to file a complaint. read more

I'm giving them 1 star review because their workers damaged my wall in the process of either taking old countertop off or installing new granite. I did not notice until I moved my refrigerator when I had to do the caulking at base of backsplash. I had someone come out and look and was told instantly they would not fix because of something in the contract I signed with Home Depot that they are not responsible for damages and we as customers should expect this. If this was just a scratch I would not care but it's a dent in my Sheetrock. I just bought house a few months ago and had interior painted so I know it wasn't there. The company I used for that just recently painted my house and I showed him and he could not believe they will not fix. I will never use them in the future or Home Depot if this is the policy. It was a total waste of my time to wait for the person to come out and blow smoke up my butt as to why they will not fix! read more

I don't know how this company stays in business! The order took six weeks longer than expected. I was instructed to get a plumber to disconnect the kitchen sink and faucet twelve hours before they arrived to install the countertops, which I did. Two hours before the scheduled install I get a call from Stone Systems informing me the product has not arrived in their shop and would not be installed that day. I told them I had already paid a plumber to disconnected the sink and faucet in the kitchen. The woman on the phone said Stone Systems would reimburse me for the plumber's expense. NEVER RECEIVED A PENNY back from Stone Systems. Also, their expert measurer made several errors. I also did not receive the countertop edge that I ordered. Take my advise and do business with another company! read more

The installers and Manager Anthony Gorena are some of the worst kind of people. We paid several thousand dollars for countertops through Lowe's, and Stone Systems is their contractor. The Installers came to my house and cut the quartz countertops outside leaving white fine powder all over my SUV. The powder was stuck on all of the windows, back, front, side, and all over the top, hood and grill of the vehicle . The embesils that call themselves installers saw that they were getting the powder allover my vehicle, and did not tell me. That was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISRESPECTFUL of me and my property. Icontacted Stone Systems the next day and informed the customer service division of what happened. I was told that they would send a $50 gift card that would be mailed, and I should receive within a weeks period of time, when the mail only takes 1 day to travel to my location. I waited 6 days, and it never came. I called again, spoke to a different agent, who was going to ask the manager about it, Anthony Gorena, and call me back in less than 5 mins. She never called back. I called the next day, and asked to speak to the manager, this is the 3rd customer service rep, who told me to hold on because he was standing close to her. Anthony Gorena would not get on the phone. He did not have enough concern about a customer, and how his employees nearly destroyed the paint on my Tahoe. The rep had to go back and forth between the manager and myself with the conversation. Anthony Gorena initially lied and said that he had requested the gift card from his superiors the day before and was waiting on a response. Remember I was to receive the card the week prior 4 days after my initial complaint, or 7 at the latest. I was given the round about over the phone with the Manager standing next to the person who answered the phone. The call ended with the Anthony Gorena saying that Lowe's will be responsible for giving me the gift card. What did Lowe's have to do with the employees of Stone Systems who are managed my Anthony Gorena? Absolutely nothing. Anthony Gorena claimed that it was so difficult to have his superiors to approve a $50 gift card after his employees almost destroyed a $1500 paint job, leaving white powder to baked into the paint in 95 degree heat! When I went to Lowe's about this, their coordinator wanted to argue with me about what I could have done wrong. The audacity of this person! I informed her that Stone Systems customer service acknowledged the problem, although their way of rectifying it was no efficient nor adequate, they did not question the issue because they know their installers were at fault. Lowe's needs to drop Stone Systems as their contactor! This experience totally turned me against Stone Systems and Lowe's because of their connection with them. Lowe's knows of the low customer ratings that Stone Systems has, but continues to allow them to represent their company in the high cost product services division. Stay away from Lowe's for any counter top installations! read more

My family purchased granite counter tops from Lowe's and they sub-contracted this company to cut and install. In our opinion, the compnay provided poor customer service in almost every way. *Note: Lowe's did what they could to help and keep us in the loop. Our advice would be to stay away from this company. I would give them a lower score if I could. The worst experience ever. I wish the owner cared enough to see his name on my counter top. They changed the pattern of the stone right in the middle of the top. The sink was cut out to large now my sink is flush on one side and has a lip on the other. You can run your hand over both seems and it catches. They sent the installer out and his reply was I didn't cut the sink the shop did so nothing I can do. The seems he said he could sand but it would damage the top. The change in pattern he said was done by shop so nothing he could do. I wish I could post pics. They would say it all. Stone systems of Raleigh through Lowe's, all I can say is stay away. read more
