If you are looking for quartz countetops, don't go anywhere else. We recently had out kitchen redone. We selected our color variant of quartz. They came out a few days later to take a hard template. We just had a small vanity counter installed this morning and can't be happier! This is the third project we've done with Absolute Stone in the past year and had a good experience overall. What makes this moat recent project so special is how well the veining ended up being spread across the counter. You can see in the attached photo that we have a small half-bath vanity. We risked by selecting Michelangelo quartz because of its dramatic veining, which could look strange on such a small surface. We could potentially end up with a completely white counter and a small splash of that dark veining on one side. But whoever cut this stone for us did an outstanding job at choosing the perfect piece of stone for the veining to be spread well. We're so happy! As I mentioned, this isn't our first project with Absolute. Earlier this year we ordered another quartz vanity counter for the guest bath and a bench top for the master shower. Both of the previous projects went well. It was convenient that Absolute had a good size showroom in Cary, their staff was responsive throughout all projects and we had zero issues with the installation. Selection of stone is sufficient (not too large but enough to find something you like). All in all we are happy with our experience and totally overjoyed with how the most recent vanity turned out. read more

I used Absolute Stone to do a kitchen remodel for a client and it was a horrible experience. On the day of installation, they showed up several hours late and then rushed the installation, leaving a seam in the countertop rough and uneven. They refused to polish the seam down stating that this was acceptable within industry standards. I called office and shop supervisor came out to inspect the seam, also stating that there was nothing wrong with it. I ended up having to hire an independent quartz installer to come to the job and polish the seam. I would not do business with this company, they do not do quality work or stand behind their work. read more

when I visited their showroom to select my quartz countertop (my cabinetmaker works with them), I was steered straight to a table with Silestone and was not offered a look at several other brands they carry. My installation was scheduled for 9:00 am and they showed up at 2:00 pm! The cabinetmaker did call and found out that they decided to change around their schedule without telling anyone. A big chunk of the day was lost waiting for them to show up. No phone call later, no apology offered. Once they began installing, they CUT into a wood counter that was part of an installed hutch because the stone was not cut correctly. They did not ask if they could do this...instead they butchered my new hutch. The cabinetmaker fixed it as best they could but I have a piece of stone with a caulk filled seam where the stone meets the wood. Again, no phone call or apology offered. Strongly recommend that you avoid this company at all costs. read more

After my kitchen granite counter tops were installed and the guys had already left to go to their next job, I realized the granite edge next to my refrigerator had a small overhang - it was not cut flush with the cabinet. My new refrigerator was scheduled for delivery the next day and I needed that extra 3/4" for it to fit! I immediately called my sales person at Absolute Stone and they sent their installers back to cut off the excess overhang. Now my new fridge will fit PERFECT! They worked REALLY HARD. They had to remove it, take it outside to cut, then bring it back in and re-set it. There were only 2 installers, and it's back breaking work. I felt so bad for them. Our experience with Absolute Stone was very negative. After picking out a granite I offered to pay for it so I would not lose this specific piece. Christine told me that was not necessary, that they would absolutely hold it for us. I went back to look at it again and at that point Christine told me they had sold it to someone else. I asked why they didn't hold it like they had promised and especially since I had offered to pay in advance. I was so, so pleased with this company. I had the pleasure of working with one of their installation managers, so my experience was more detailed than expected. They worked with me to use a slab that was in inventory, i.e., a remnant. It saved me money to use a 'inventory' slab versus a new one that needed to be ordered, and Absolute Stone went above and beyond to make that happen. the final product is just gorgeous, I can't recommend them enough. read more

We used them last year on a renovation for my oldest daughter's townhome. We worked with designer Christine Reese. They did a good job and this year we decided to call them again for repeat business. My husband called and left a voice mail message for Christine. No response. My husband called again and spoke to the receptionist who put us on hold, picked up and asked for my husband's name, put us on hold again, and then came back and said Ms. Reese was on the phone and would we like to leave a message? Hubby said yes, but jokingly said he hoped she would call back. Well, Ms Reese called back and left a SNARKY voicemail and said she ONLY communicates by email, left her email and hung up. Really? You were conveniently "on the phone" when my husband called for the 2nd time, but you only communicate via email?? Guess they can afford to lose repeat business. Guess things must be going so well that they can employ sales people who can afford to be rude to repeat customers. Bless your heart, Ms Reese, and have no fear, we won't be calling again. read more

I've used them twice in the last ten years on my own house, and have recommended them to three other people. All of us were quite happy with everything. Sometimes, the lead time can be a little tricky to manage, especially if you are having other work done at the house. But they are always willing to work around your schedule. My wife and I went to the showroom on Saturday to get some ideas on replacing our countertops. This happen to be our first stop with our decision to do so. When we arrived the receptionist was sitting at her desk playing on her phone another lady sitting at her desk and one roaming around then another helping one other couple there. After walking around looking totally lost at what we were doing we expected someone to have the cutesy to ask if we needed help. Not one person asked us a thing. We were there about 15 minutes, we tried to approach someone but they walked away. We left so frustrated and would never recommend them to anyone. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Everything started off fine and they were helpful and accommodating until they made a mistake. Our countertop was not cut as we ordered it. The stone is lovely but we ordered a squared corner and received a rounded one. They were so rude and tried to blame it on us instead of owning up to the fact that their young inexperienced salesperson did not write that detail down. We could not arrive at an agreed upon solution and they informed me that if I did not authorize the payment they would put a lien on my home. There are plenty of other choices when out there for stone in the triangle, use another source. read more

I'm extremely unhappy with Absolute Stone. We contracted them for a shower install 4 years ago. The initial work seemed great, but started leaking a couple of years later (showers are meant to last more that 4 years). I contacted them and they immediately dismissed the issue, stating it was out of warranty. When I persisted, they sent a 3rd party contractor to investigate. He confirmed it was due to a flawed install and Absolute Stone said they would fix it. Since then, I have been getting the run around for months. Each time I do talk with someone, they promise immediate resolution and then do nothing while ignoring calls and messages. I'm filing with the Better Business Bureau now. I suggest you stay away fro Absolute Stone at all costs. read more

Horrible experience and incompetent sales person, Elizabeth. After getting a "installed" quote over the phone my wife and I drove 40 mins after taking off work only to be told that there was a min (asked and told no, by the sq ft was available for this product on the phone) and the price doubled. Can you say bait and switch, I think it was just incompetence. I asked why she quoted me a different price and what changed, smugly she responded with "well there is no written quote on file". No apologies, at least not sincerely. I have worked in the design business and commercial construction as well for 20 years and this is by far the worse experience I have ever had and the worse I have ever been treated. read more

Horrible experience. Picked out granite from distributor and used Absolute Stone as fabricator. I had to hound them to get job scheduled. They werent returning calls or email. Finally asked the if i needed to get a new fabricator, and i got a response. Templating went fine. Install scheduled 8/23. Got a phone message at noon that install is confirmed for 8/22 at 9am. I dont think they even realized they changed it. Then they sent email at 5 confirming and indicating they haven't heard from me. That would be because i'm working. Couldn't get hold of anyone at 5. There was no way my contractor could move the demo up to be ready a day early with such ridiculously short notice. He dropped everything and started so demo could be done by noon. I sent several emsils and called about the screw up and we could be ready by noon. They NEVER responded!! Driver finally called my contractor to say he'd be there by noon. Now, lets talk about payment.. i had to call several times to get someone to take my cc for deposit. Then they ssid i still owe deposit so had to call several more times to provide again. And they charged me twice- once in 8/2 and then on 8/20. Horrible horrible service read more

I just left absolute stone after being inside the store for 10 minutes. We are remodeling our kitchen and 3 bathrooms and need stone for all the projects (decent size job). I walk in the front door and the woman at the desk (Tarin) doesn't greet meet but she is on the phone so not a big deal. I walk around for a few minutes looking for the granite showroom where I can see larger pieces. I come back to Tarin at her desk, who is now off the phone, she looks at me in an annoyed/disturbed way like I'm interrupting her day. I ask to see their showroom and she says I need an appmnt and they don't have any today, then she points to the back of the store and tells me to go look at small granite pieces before I'm allowed to make an appmnt for the larger showroom. The whole exchange was condescending, unfriendly and lacking the behavior you would expect from someone in the service industry. So I just walked out of the store and Tarin said nothing as I left. I saw all of their other one star reviews on yelp where others have complained about rude service at absolute stone so I guess I'm in good company. It's a big red flag when you see so many one star reviews and the company doesn't even bother responding. I'm going elsewhere to look for stone. read more

If you live in the RTP area and need granite countertops, there's no better place to get them than Absolute Stone. I emailed out 5 requests for proposal on 44 square feet of granite for a kitchen. Within minutes, Absolute responded. Others took days to respond. Absolute was the lowest quote, by far. I was reserved at first, but after visiting their showroom I came to understand why they beat everyone on price. These folks do massive volume. Better yet, they are extremely helpful and efficient. From start to finish took only about a week and went smooth as silk. They did a great job and the counters look fantastic. I would highly recommend Absolute Stone to friends and family. read more

My wife and I, both seniors, arrived expectantly today at Absolute Stone. We were greeted frostily by the sales lady, but it went down hill from there. My wife happen to mention we had appliances from Lowes, and the lady said she would need to contact Lowes first. I understand Absolute Stone and Lowes have some form of contractural agreement, but we simply had appliances bought at Lowes, nothing at all to do with stone counter tops. I still cannot fathom why she had to contact Lowes first. To put it mildly, we were talked down to, treated with arrogance, smugness, and discourtesy. Another lady from the inner office with an extremely patronizing attitude simply did not help. This was quite the worst pre-sales experience of our lives and I am still struggling to understand why All we wanted was a good sales experience and service. read more

the people where great to work with and the stone is beautiful the only thing i would watch out for is the cut! they overcharge you to no end!!!!!!!! i took a scrap piece from a left over job and was still charged full price ontop of the extra 200.00 for the ogee cut. read more

We were scheduled for our install two weeks after the templating. About a week before the install, they contact us and tell us that they dropped our slab and it's unusable. They think they can get another one in a week. Accidents happen. We could understand that, but we assumed that they would actually try to compensate for it. A week later, they finally get another slab and then tell us it will be two more weeks before they can do the install because "they're busy". Meanwhile, we've been without a bathroom for weeks already and they could care less about doing anything to expedite the process. Then, they contact us again and push it back another day because the schedule was full. Meanwhile, I'm having to constantly reschedule the contractors coming in behind them. But again, they don't care and make no effort at all to help. I will definitely never use them again and wouldn't recommend them to anyone else. There are tons of places to get granite/quartz. I would avoid these guys. read more
