My Mother is elderly and has severe medical issues. They took advantage of her, over charged her by thousands of dollars, didn't respond to her phone calls, left her house unprotected from the elements, put a deck on with horrible materials, they used the bait and switch method along with a sketchy contract, the deck is 6 inches off on one side and their solution was to cut out her walkway so it didn't look so terrible, they attempted to charge her extra money that she DIDN'T owe and then lied and said she agreed to it. They performed electrical work without a licensed electrician, her power on one side of the house was off for almost TWO months. The owner Lon Lane is a crook who left my Mothers house unfinished and a complete mess! When I confronted him about it, he blamed HER!! Lon is rude, disrespectful, and takes all the money upfront so he can just leave the work undone for months and never have to finish it!! He took advantage of an elderly woman so be aware and warn everyone NOT to trust him. He will lie right to your face and tell you he will fix the problem but then doesn't show up for weeks. He refused to fix my Mother's house after the mess he made and charged her $27,000 for an unfinished, crooked, unpainted, shoddy, complete mess!! Then had the nerve to tell me that his CREW is just learning and to give them a BREAK!!! Are you kidding me!!! Lon, train your crew on your own home so YOU have to live with the mess they made, not unsuspecting, innocent home owners!! !!! A year later they redid my gutters but put on the wrong colored downspouts and put them in the wrong places, even skipping an entire downspout. I contacted the manager who said he would be taking over handling my claim, then spoke to him twice and haven't heard from him since. Stay away from them unless you have the time and energy to constantly hound them to get the job done correctly.

That future porch wasn't just a verbal discussion--it was specifically included in my contract and was a major reason I chose this company. Unfortunately, the workmanship has been disappointing from the beginning. The deck boards are uneven and improperly installed, allowing water to pool and collect against the house. There are noticeable gaps in trim and wrapping, the stairs have settled and developed a dip that has caused the railing to bow, and even the stair lights have begun pulling out because of the movement. Whenever I raised concerns, I was repeatedly told everything looked fine or that I needed to wait over a year for the deck to "settle." When the problems continued, the responsibility shifted to me instead of the workmanship. The most disappointing discovery came later. I recently learned that the deck did not pass the county requirements for supporting the future four-season porch that was included in my contract. I now have to spend thousands of additional dollars correcting work that should have been completed properly from the start. What frustrates me most isn't that problems occurred--construction projects can have issues. It's the unwillingness to accept responsibility and the repeated attempts to explain away legitimate concerns rather than deliver the quality and contractual obligations I paid for. For such a significant investment, I expected quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a company that would stand behind its work. Instead, I was left with ongoing workmanship issues, additional unexpected expenses, and a deck that has fallen well short of what was promised.
