My roof was on an 1880 historical 2-story house with many dormers and levels (three levels). Took four days to do it as one day they got rained out. They worked on a Sunday to catch up. The owner was very concerned about assuring my satisfaction. The crew did an excellent job with clean-up as my yard looked better afterwards. If to say one thing i didn't appreciate is the crew members who smoked would throw their cig butts on the lawn/driveway. I just don't like it and it always seem to happen when i have construction crews at my property. Like a google reviewer, i had trouble getting them to bid the job as had to pester them a couple of times. Still glad i did.

Top Shelf did our roof last August and was easy to work with. They were the only company that was…read morewilling to actually try to work with us to get the roof replaced by insurance where other companies were 50/50 on whether the damage was "enough" to get a claim filed. After coming out and looking at the roof they said for sure it would be a claim and worked to get it pushed through. Day of the job they came out and were very efficient in the work they did, even when they had to get some new plywood to fill in areas on the roof where the previous roofers had not filled the sheathing all the way to the facia boards which created a slight delay but they were still able to get the whole roof done in the course of one day. After they left we found a couple nails here and there (which is to be expected) and thought their clean up was excellent when you think of how many thousands of nails they had to pull from the previous roof they were replacing. Very happy with the work they have done and the extra leg they went working with the insurance side of things to get our nearly 30 year old 3 tab roof replaced with very nice looking upgraded and updated IKO architectural shingles.

It's much brighter than the dingy old planks, which were replaced with a composite Trex flooring that matches the shakes on our house. Railings and posts are white, and the crew even added a doggie gate so our dogs can spend time on the deck but cannot go down to back yard. The workmanship was excellent; the crew took pains to do everything correctly. The crew - Ben, Colin and Steve - was fantastic! So there was allot of back and forth as to what was promised and what we actually ended up getting. A 3 week job took 6-8 months at one point had a trailer in my front yard for a couple months during holidays thanksgiving and Christmas all the siding off the house. Family came up looked horrible to have family arriving and no siding and a Krumm enclosed trailer in the front yard. There's allot more I asked that my windows and aluminum siding be left at my residence was told no problem. It was all hauled off. Told them I wanted no holes in my roof. They installed a satellite dish that was not hooked up back in the roof. I asked to have the shudders put back in the home. The guys argued everytime I mentioned it. You don't want that. You'll get wasps. Ya I do t want that. My wife does! The mate are cheap mernards crap windows and metal. Windows ordered were wrong size. Corners of the edges of home have gaps in the top. They didn't want to do the facia when they did they threw it up looks like crap. I can keep going. I in no way would recommend this company. I'd say stay away at all costs. When the facia they put up came loose. Took about 3 weeks to a month to have that nailed back up. Bent nail under a shingle the same thing. I highly recommend using any other company.

If you have had siding installed from Elk River Exteriors beware. You may have been told there is…read morea warranty on it. They do not warranty due to their faulty installation. This is a complaint for siding issue that I filed with the installer July 28th of 2022 for what are called nail pops on my siding. They are visible on three sides of the house. East, West, and South. No nail pops on the North side of the house. When I contacted the installer, they told me that I needed to file a warranty claim against the maker of the siding. (I also sent Elk River exterior photos of the siding.) Elk River Exterior claimed it was a problem with the siding. So I filled out a warranty form and sent pictures to the manufacturer (PLY GEM). Also the owner of Elk River Exterior came and took pictures of the problem and sent to Ply Gem. After much time of going back and forth with the manufacture (Ply Gem) and the Installer (Elk River Exteriors), the manufacture of the siding (Ply Gem) finally sent a Technical Service Representative to inspect the siding in April. His response to the (Nail Pops) was found to be the direct result of improper installation techniques or practices. Some of the discrepancies noted but not limited to include *Nailing at end of nail slots *Nails protruding * Nails from nail hem causing heat buildup/water retention between the panel and fastener. * Nailed to tight, nails at opposite ends of nails, and /or panels that were not given proper clearance to expand as temperatures varied. Ply Gem encouraged us to contact the company that installed siding. But Elk River Exteriors still insist that it is a manufacturing issue with the siding and as of June 19th, 2023 I received a voicemail from the Owner of Elk River Exterior that they will not be correcting the issue.
